Adam B.
Adam Briesacher has a B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a proven track record of helping students excel in high-school mathematics. With eight years of classroom experience, Adam is an expert at guiding students through Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus.
Adam’s commitment to student success began in high school during his National Honor Society days, when he discovered his love for teaching. His passion for education grew while working at the Tutoring Resource Center (three years) at SIU. This experience gave Adam the opportunity to support students from all backgrounds and help them reach their full potential.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Adam enjoys the thrill of sports, the beauty of the Colorado outdoors, and the companionship of his beloved dogs, Hector (Black Lab/Border Collie) and Beau (Golden Retriever). When he’s not immersed in the “math world,” you find him exploring the mountains, cheering on his favorite teams, or enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Paul C.
Paul C. is located in Kitsilano where he is currently in the last semester of his postgraduate program for a Bachelor of Education through Vancouver Island University. Paul first attended the University of Victoria, where he obtained a BSc in Biopsychology, a derivative of neuroscience. After finishing his first degree and travelling, Paul realized his passion for education and helping others is what he valued most. His combined degree has provided the opportunity to understand a wide range of topics. He is able to tutor in Chemistry, Physics, Math, Biology, Socials and English. During university, Paul also wrote for his school’s newspaper, where he developed his writing style and grammatical skills. For the past three years, Paul has been tutoring for individuals and groups, covering a wide range of subjects and ages. From his experience, he has found his teaching philosophy isn’t static, believing every student has their own learning needs and it is the responsibility of the teacher to cater to the student’s learning styles. He notes that a combination of enactive and vicarious learning has proven most effective for a student to build confidence and understanding. A foundation of his tutoring is based on developing the transferable studying and learning skills, so the students will be able to implement their skills to other subjects and outside of the classroom. When he is not working, you can find Paul walking his dog, Frankie, playing golf with his friends, or reading a great book.
