ALESSIA D.
Alessia is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a variety of teaching experiences. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Toronto. During her time there, she discovered her passion for teaching while volunteering for an after school hands-on science program in Toronto schools. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Education at York University, and is currently working as a teacher with her local school board. Alessia is qualified to teach all grades, and has tutored and taught students from kindergarten to twelfth grade in math, reading, writing, and science. She has also worked with new English Language Learners and students with a variety of abilities, always catering lessons to their specific learning needs.Alessia is passionate about teaching math and science and always aims to make every lesson a positive and engaging experience by focusing on students’ strengths and interests. She believes that a student’s mindset is the most important part of learning, so she always encourages students to make mistakes, persevere, ask questions, and think with a growth mindset.
Emily E.
EN: Emily is an Honours English student at Concordia University. She has been recognized and awarded for her subject excellence in Mathematics, English reading and writing, on top of her overall perseverance as a well-rounded student. She has experience working with children and adolescents in which she thoroughly enjoys teaching and helping them reach their full academic potential. She is very passionate about learning and takes pleasure in connecting with and impacting her apprentices lives for the better. On top of academic success, Emily brings enjoyment, self-confidence, study tips and an overall pleasant learning environment personalized for each student to her sessions.
FR: Emily est étudiante en anglais avec spécialisation à l’Université Concordia. Elle a été reconnue et récompensée pour son excellence en mathématiques, en lecture et en écriture en anglais, en plus de sa persévérance générale en tant qu’étudiante bien équilibrée. Elle a une expérience de travail avec les enfants et les adolescents dans laquelle elle aime beaucoup enseigner et les aider à atteindre leur plein potentiel scolaire. Elle est très passionnée par l’apprentissage et prend plaisir à se connecter avec ses apprentis et à améliorer leur vie. EN: Raphaël has his DEC in Arts and Sciences from CEGEP de Jonquière and a joint Major in Biology and Mathematics from McGill University. What he likes most about coaching is helping students adopt a positive and confident approach to academic challenges, whether it is with theoretical knowledge or strategies for time and stress management. He likes to listen to students and offer personalized guidance depending on each student’s needs.
FR: Raphaël est titulaire d’un DEC en arts et sciences du CEGEP de Jonquière et d’une majeure conjointe en biologie et mathématiques de l’Université McGill. Ce qu’il aime le plus dans le coaching, c’est d’aider les étudiants à adopter une approche positive et confiante face aux défis académiques, que ce soit avec des connaissances théoriques ou des stratégies de gestion du temps et du stress. Il aime écouter les étudiants et offrir un accompagnement personnalisé en fonction des besoins de chacun.
