KIAYANA B.
Kiayana is a certified teacher in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Education with minors in Social Studies and History. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 6, and has also worked as a Diverse Learning Teacher. Her background includes working as a Preschool Teacher, where she focused on fine motor development, letter formation, and early phonics skills. In addition to her classroom teaching, Kiayana has worked as a Behavioural Aide supporting a student with Autism and ADHD. Through this role, she gained experience in social-emotional learning, functional language development, and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Kiayana is especially passionate about literacy. She has worked as a Reading Instructor for two years and has supported a wide range of learners, including those with complex needs, to build confidence and skills in reading. She is patient, flexible, and committed to fostering a growth mindset. Kiayana values creating fun, engaging learning environments and building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with her students to help them grow both academically and personally.
Betty Y.
Betty has a Master’s degree in Teaching and is certified to teach students from the Primary to Intermediate levels. She also holds an Additional Qualification in Intermediate Mathematics. Betty has been teaching with the Toronto District School Board for three years, where she has delivered engaging math sessions tailored to diverse student needs. She is committed to meeting students where they are in their learning and helping them grow with confidence. Betty brings a strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment for learning. She enjoys integrating real-life applications and problem-solving strategies and regularly communicates with parents to refine her teaching.
MORGANNA H.
Morganna is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at Toronto Metropolitan University. With a strong foundation in Mathematics and Computer Science from her undergraduate studies, she excels in tackling problems from diverse angles. With over 10 years of tutoring experience, Morganna leverages this approach to effectively support students of diverse learning styles and backgrounds – both online and in person. She is also a Teaching Assistant, where she teaches Calculus and Linear Algebra to first-year and second-year Engineering students. Outside of academics, Morganna enjoys reading, swimming, solving puzzles, and, of course, trying every type of coffee she can get her hands on.
Ayesha V.
I’m a passionate educator and tutor with over five years of experience helping students succeed across a range of subjects, including math, reading, writing, and phonics. I have a strong background in supporting English Learners and am known for my warm, culturally responsive teaching style. I’ve worked in both public and private school settings, including as a bilingual assistant and as the owner-principal of a private kindergarten.
I design personalized learning experiences that build confidence and foster a love of learning. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I value strong communication and whole-child development. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, running, watching movies, and spending time in nature with family and friends—and I never miss a chance to celebrate student growth with a little confetti!

I am a highly committed and experienced educator with over eight years of experience working in high school settings. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of adolescent learning and development, and I consistently support students in achieving both academic success and personal growth. I’m known for my ability to build strong relationships with students, create inclusive learning environments, and tailor my instructional approach to meet individual learning styles and goals.
Beyond the academic year, I dedicate my summers to working with younger students as both a tutor and a volunteer in nature-based learning programs. I bring energy and creativity to these roles, helping children strengthen their foundational skills in literacy, math, and science. Madison J.
Madison J. is a certified teacher in Life Sciences and ELL. She has been teaching for 10 years. While studying Neuroscience at Vassar College, she discovered a love of teaching as a chemistry teaching assistant. After graduating, she went on to earn a Master’s in teaching through a fellowship with the Institute for Citizens and Scholars. She has taught Biology, Zoology, and Environmental Science at the high school level, as well as science and math at the middle school level. Her true passion is in helping all students not only succeed, but to discover a love of learning and the joy that comes from exploring the world. Outside of the classroom, she is mom to an energetic son and a grumpy tortoise. She loves to knit, sew, and hike.
Grace F.
Grace F. is earning her degree in Elementary Education at North Central College, where she has maintained a high GPA and earned a spot on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. Originally from Elmhurst, she discovered her love of teaching while helping classmates with writing, research, and public speaking. What started as casual tutoring turned into a true passion for supporting students.
Grace has worked with learners from early childhood through middle school, developing creative, student-centered lessons through daycare and summer programs. She believes every child learns differently and thrives on adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
Through her college placements, Grace has taught in 1st through 4th grade classrooms and supported 5th grade accelerated math, gaining experience in literacy, math, and science. She also helps students strengthen executive functioning skills like organization, planning, and time management—because sometimes, learning how to learn is the biggest lesson of all.
Outside the classroom, Grace enjoys birdwatching and exploring the outdoors. Her love of animals and education came together through the Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society, where she taught scout groups about bird care and behavior. She’s been helping students—and birds—take flight ever since.
Jenna R.
Jenna R. is a certified educator in both regular and special education with over six years of teaching experience, primarily in special education. She has had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities and is passionate about helping each one reach their full potential.
Jenna’s tutoring experience ranges from building foundational kindergarten skills all the way to supporting students with college-level math. She believes in meeting students where they are, making learning engaging, and working closely with families to help everyone feel supported.
Jenna Reed is new to the Baton Rouge area and loves being part of the growing community. She is also a proud mom of two little boys and a whole crew of pets—including some reptiles! Education is truly her calling, and she’s excited to help students grow in confidence, skills, and independence.
Josianne G.
Josianne is a passionate tutor specializing in mathematics and science. She has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, with majors in biology and mathematics, and is currently working on her master’s degree. For the past 5 years, she has been teaching at a high school in Whitehorse, Yukon. She also has experience tutoring students of a variety of levels. Josianne is bilingual, speaking both English and French.
Ensuring good communication, having clear expectations, preparing engaging lessons, and helping students achieve their goals are at the core of her philosophy as a teacher. She always makes sure to adapt the lessons to each student’s needs and create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. The Yukon uses British Columbia’s curriculum, so she is very familiar with the learning objectives and the big ideas that are taught in schools. In her free time, Josianne enjoys running, hiking, camping, paddling, sewing, and reading.
