Dawn H.
Dawn is a seasoned 20-year veteran elementary level teacher for grades 3-8. She obtained her B.S. in Education from Northern Arizona University, her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and her post-graduate educational leadership degree from Stony Brook, NY. She holds a professional Florida Educators License for grades K-6.
With over 90+ hours of mathematics training from the Intel Corporation, Dawn loves creating an inquiry-based model of instruction for students, regardless of one-on-one, small group, or whole-class settings. Her core belief is that learning should be scaffolded, purposeful, hands on, and exploratory in nature. Dawn utilizes songs, games, total physical response, art, on-line tools, and manipulatives to generate excitement in her classrooms.
Dawn’s hobbies include all things athletic, artistic and creative, and has a penchant for bodybuilding, personal training, and nutrition.
Sahil R.
Sahil is a full-time Math enthusiast and tutor. He enjoys helping middle school, high school, and college students learn Math and making each tutoring session enjoyable, interesting, and interactive!
Sahil tutors the following topics: Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and all SAT Math.
In his free time, Sahil enjoys exercising and spending time with friends and family.

Abu C.
Dr. Abu O. C. is an experienced teacher. He was born in Bangladesh and completed Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering there. Dr. Chowdhury also completed Master of Engineering Science (M.E.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering in Canada. He has been passionate about teaching since the start of his B.Sc. program and started teaching students during his M.E.Sc. program. Later on, Dr. Chowdhury tutored elementary and high school students and taught undergraduate students as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering. Teaching has developed his interest in science. He ran a creative workshop during his work as a lecturer at university where he helped students work on innovative projects. Dr. Chowdhury also helped elementary school student prepare poster on carbon footprint. He worked one-on-one with students ranging from 5 years through university. Dr. Chowdhury has improved their understanding, analytical skills, and creative thinking. He fulfilled students’ expectations engaging themselves in an effective learning environment. Dr. Chowdhury has been open to follow new techniques to work with students and consider them invaluable.
Dr. Chowdhury graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering. He also graduated from Western University with a Master of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering. Dr. Chowdhury worked as a teaching assistant there. He tutored elementary and high school students mathematics, physics, chemistry, data management, vectors, and advanced functions and University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, Western University, Carleton University, and University of British Columbia students mechanics, structural analysis, electrical circuits, calculus, and business statistics and mathematics. Dr. Chowdhury worked as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering at Southern University Bangladesh, Chattogram. He graduated from the University of British Columbia (Okanagan) with a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering. Dr. Chowdhury also worked as a teaching assistant there. His extensive experiences have helped students culminating in their careers.
Dr. Chowdhury tutors students in a one-on-one interactive learning environment which helps themselves grow interests in the subject matters. He believes that they can build up their confidence and skills through effective engagement. Dr. Chowdhury also likes sports, travel, spending time with his family and friends, and reading.
Eva L.
Eva is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at McGill University. With nearly seven years of tutoring experience, she is passionate about helping students succeed by making their learning engaging and understandable. Eva’s teaching approach is highly adaptable and tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. She goes back to basics when necessary to ensure a strong foundation for more complex topics. Patience and repetition are two of Eva’s most important values in tutoring, and she listens closely to her students to understand their needs.
In her free time, Eva loves baking, hiking, and reading.
Rita Z.
Rita worked with students in the Sarasota County district school system for over 20 years as a middle school science teacher. With a gifted certification and extensive professional development experience in exceptional student education, she is well equipped to work with students of various abilities. In the classroom, Rita was able to connect with students, parents and the community and earned highly qualified evaluations by administrators year after year. Rita took a hands-on approach to learning science in her classroom, often taking students on field trips and creating meaningful learning experiences with interactive and virtual learning. In 2013, Rita was recognized for all of her achievements as the district middle school teacher of the year.
Rita has a master’s degree in STEM education from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in physics and astronomy, making her very capable of helping students succeed in all science disciplines. Rita completed her master’s thesis on how to develop notetaking and organizational skills in students that support students in reading and writing expository texts. After completing her master’s degree, Rita earned over 900 hours of professional development, focusing on differentiated instruction and integrating literacy into the core content areas.
Jennifer C.
Jen graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education mathematics, and completed a Masters Degree in Online Teaching and Learning from Concordia University. Jen taught almost every subject available in high school mathematics and for the past two years tutors students preparing to take the SAT. She taught math for about 20 years! She is passionate about helping people and making meaningful connections that promote the desire for life long learning.
Outside of class, Jen works in Real Estate and has many hobbies including running, biking, swimming, lifting weights, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Shafkat A.
Shafkat has a PhD and Masters degree in Economics from York University where he is also currently teaching. He has more than 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience in Canada. Students find him helpful and supportive and attentive to their needs. He is proficient in Math and Economics which he teaches with commitment and expertise. He believes is fostering student’s understanding and helping them excel in their academic endeavors.
He lives in Toronto. In his spare time he likes to listen to classical music and is an avid chess player.
Adamo M.
EN: Adamo earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Neuroscience from McGill University and his PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco. Passionate about science and mathematics, he enjoys mentoring the next generation of scientists and hopes to become a university professor. With three years of experience tutoring at the high school level and several years as a university-level teaching assistant, Adamo is dedicated to helping students build confidence and curiosity in their studies. Outside the lab and classroom, he loves exploring the outdoors—whether running, hiking, or biking, he’s always on the move!

Michelle S.
Michelle is an energetic tutor with a wide array of experience and a fervor for teaching and learning. She grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and earned a double major in Philosophy and Medicine, Science, and the Humanities from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Currently, she is a first year medical student at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. With experience working as both an EMT and a tutor to many different kinds of students, she finds immense joy in helping others whether through the practice of medicine or by fostering a love for learning and personal growth. For Michelle, tutoring is not only about mastering material but about building confidence and a curiosity for the world around us; connecting with students is one of her favorite parts of tutoring, and she is always grateful for the opportunity to help a student find themselves and their interests. Michelle has experience working with age groups ranging from pre-k to university, and has enjoyed the unique aspects of working with every single age group. Throughout the years Michelle has taught math, English, and science, and she especially loves to teach chemistry and biology. Michelle loves to travel, especially countries in which she can practice languages she has studied in the past, such as Italian and French. In her free time, she works on her clinical research projects, plays volleyball, lifts weights, and experiments with cooking. She also loves spending time outdoors with Roxy, 2 year old puppy.

Shan has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, where he double majored in Population Health and Psychology. With a solid understanding of both science and human behavior, he enjoys helping students understand complex topics in a way that makes sense to them.
Having worked with students from elementary to high school, Shan knows how to break down lessons into easy-to-understand steps. He is patient, supportive, and always encourages students to ask questions and stay curious. His goal is to help students feel confident and capable in their studies.
When he’s not tutoring, Shan enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He values these moments and believes in the importance of a good work-life balance.
