Santiago A.

Santiago holds his Bachelor of Science (Major in Honours Neuroscience; Minor in Biotechnology) from McGill University, where he graduated with First Class Honours. He holds his Diploma of Collegial Studies in Pure and Applied Sciences from Vanier College, where he graduated under the Dean’s Honour Roll (overall average above 90%).

He worked at Vanier College as a tutor, during which time he taught seminars on physics and prepared tutoring material to use during review sessions and exam prep. He also worked at the drop-in desk of the Math & Science Centre for students struggling with homework problems and/or projects in Chemistry, Physics, Math and Biology.

Santiago’s specialties include Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), math (Grades 1-12), and French language tutoring.

In addition, Santiago worked on the Vanier Science Program Advisory Committee Member, where he provided feedback to the institution’s Science Program Coordinator about the proposed changes to the CEGEP Science programs proposed by the government of Quebec. He also worked as a Signal Processing Engineer at McGill’s NeuroTech and contributed to the creation of Milo, the brain-controlled wheelchair. He volunteered in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
