Abhilash R.
Abhilash recently completed his Master of Science in Data Science & AI at Florida International University. Before that, he earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from Panjab University, where he also obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Before joining the academic field, he had the opportunity to work as a Big Data Engineer and participate in a Data Science internship at FIU. These experiences have equipped him with a robust Data Science and Mathematics foundation, and he’s eager to share his knowledge and passion for these subjects with his students.
Currently, he is working as an adjunct professor at FIU. Having served as a Mathematics/Statistics Instructor in India, he brings a diverse set of 5 years teaching experiences to the classroom.
He is proficient in teaching Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AP, College Algebra, College Pre-Calculus Algebra, Trigonometry, Advanced Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Calculus I, II, III, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Differential equations, Probability theory and mathematical Statistics, Statistics I, II, Physics, Data Science, AI, and Computer programming (Python, R, SQL). Mitchell N.
Mitchell recently graduated from the University of Toronto, where he completed a Master of Science (MSc) through the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. For his MSc thesis, Mitchell conducted research at the Hospital for Sick Children in the lab of Dr. Lili-Naz Hazrati, where he studied the impact of mild traumatic brain injury (or concussion) in women’s brains. Prior to his MSc, Mitchell completed a 4-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) at Ontario Tech University, majoring in Biological Science (Life Sciences specialization) and minoring in Sustainability Studies.
Having previously worked as a peer tutor at Ontario Tech University, and as a current volunteer tutor for middle school students at the Working Women Community Centre in Toronto, Mitchell has experience tutoring students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. He firmly believes that all students deserve an opportunity to reach their full academic potential and is passionate about training students to become independent problem-solvers. Mitchell is experienced in tutoring various STEM courses—namely, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Math—and helps his students learn how to navigate abstract concepts and multi-step computational problems.
In his free time, Mitchell enjoys gardening, indoor bouldering, and reading.
Caitlin H.
Caitlin is a current PhD student at the University of Toronto. She is studying Molecular Genetics, and her thesis work is focused on exploring the relationship between cancer and stem cells. Before starting her graduate studies, Caitlin completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Biology. Alongside her academic pursuits, she has actively mentored students through the Let’s Talk Science Foundation and UBC’s Women in STEM organization.
Caitlin specializes in teaching Secondary School Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. She also teaches Biology at the university level. Her hands-on experience in cancer and stem cell research gives her practical insights to share with her students.
GALE M.
Gale is a mathematics and philosophy student at the University of Toronto. He has been working with children of all ages for more than five years, and has taught math, science and English as a private tutor for over three years. Gale is a former debate team captain and DECA champion, and spent a great deal of time coaching high school students in those competitions. Mathematics and the sciences are just a few of Gale’s many areas of interest; he loves to read novels (as long they’re older than fifty), play tennis and listen to music of all kinds.
Gale has always loved to teach, so he started working with children in early high school: first as a swim instructor, then as a teacher’s assistant, and finally as a private tutor. He has taught students as young as four, and as old as seventeen. Gale is very comfortable with kids, and knows how to make academic material as fun and engaging as it can be. Whether a child is struggling with a subject, or trying to excel in it, he can help them reach their academic goals.

Allyson R.
Allyson has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University. Raised in Montreal, she graduated from Miss Edgars and Miss Cramps School, where she developed a love for math and science at a young age. She is fully bilingual and has been tutoring different grade levels for about 5 years, specializing in high school math and science during her degree. Ally has always loved learning and was happy to find a way to balance her education with her active participation in her school’s Engineering Society and her passion for the outdoors. This is an important lesson that she always conveys to her students, balance is the key to success.
While taking some difficult courses throughout her educational journey, she had to be creative with her study methods and determine the best ways to grasp difficult concepts. Applying these well practiced methods based on learning style is something she finds crucial when tutoring students and helping them reach their goals.

Neil H.
Neil’s career path has been determined by an equal love of Science, Mathematics, and Visual Art. After graduating from Cawthra Park Secondary School with a major in Visual Art, Neil decided to pursue an education in Physics, hoping to incorporate an understanding of the structure of matter into his paintings. In 2004 he graduated with a combined major in Physics & Astronomy from the University of Victoria in B.C. Since then Neil has worked as a professional Math and Physics tutor, working one-on-one with high school and university students, helping many of them pursue an education and career in the Sciences. While continuing to work as a tutor, Neil went back to school to develop his painting practice, completing a Master of Fine Arts at York University in 2013. While there, Neil developed his mathematical approach to painting that he continues to explore today. After graduating from York, he received an honourable mention in the 15th Annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition, exhibiting his painting at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. Recently Neil’s paintings were included in Entangled: Two Views on Contemporary Canadian Painting, a survey exhibition of Canadian painting at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Neil’s paintings have been exhibited and collected across Canada, the U.K., and Europe. In 2014, in order to further develop as a teacher, Neil decided to attend teacher’s college at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Since graduating he has worked as a full-time tutor in Toronto.

Christopher G.
Growing up in Southern California, Christopher G. had a curiosity of his natural surroundings that led him to pursue an Associate of Science degree in Geology thus fostering his passion for the sciences and paving the way for him to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science at California State University, Fullerton. While attending college Christopher began professionally tutoring other students, and as a result initiated his journey in educating. Since graduating Christopher continues tutoring K-12 students where he actively contributes to improving scientific and mathematical literacy along with reading and writing skills. As a mentor, Christopher believes that by building a strong connection with his students he can better meet their individual needs and expand their learning capacity. He finds the experience he’s garnered to be enjoyable and extremely fulfilling. When he’s not attending to academic endeavors you can find him traveling and supporting his favorite teams alongside his family.
