ARYAN S.

Aryan is currently a student at the University of Manitoba, majoring in computer science within the Faculty of Science. With over a year of experience as an instructor, Aryan helps students strengthen their abilities in math, science, and technology while also guiding them to develop strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. He enjoys breaking down complex topics into simple steps, teaching students to approach challenges logically. Outside of academics, Aryan enjoys playing pool and travelling.

JESSICA D.

Jessica has been tutoring regularly for over 4 years and has also worked as a laboratory demonstrator. She has both a 4-year bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and a 3-year bachelor of business and administration degree from the University of Winnipeg, and played for the Wesmen women’s basketball team during that time.

Her tutoring speciality is primarily high school pre-calculus and calculus, but she enjoys tutoring anything from middle years to university-level math and science in both English and French.

SIMON H.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary, a Master degree of Physics, and a Bachelor Degree of Physics both from the University of Lethbridge. While in university he taught first year Physics classes and labs as an academic assistant which made him appreciate teaching.

As a certified teacher by the province of Alberta, he has taught elementary, junior high school, and senior high school Math and Science. His direct tutoring experience comes from working casually one-on-one with kids from his local community.

Simon believes that each student is unique. He views his tutoring as a supportive relationship between tutor and student, and understands the importance of such support to any student’s progress.

He also enjoys, cycling, Manga drawing, and Origami. On the weekends you can usually find him spending his time with friends and family.

Esmie O.

Esmie is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Neural Engineering at the University of Miami where she is also a teaching assistant for the College of Engineering. She possesses a strong background in Calculus and Physics and is available to tutor Calc I/II and Physics I/II as well as Precalculus. She has a strong passion for teaching and is planning on pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with the goal of becoming a professor. Apart from her teaching assistant role, she has previously tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in a variety of subjects. When she is not engaged in engineering, Esmie spends her free time reading, listening to music, and going on walks with her dog. Before college, she was a competitive figure skater and still enjoys going to the rink from time to time.

Caleb R.

Caleb graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Science in Physics, with an applied math minor. He taught labs for the physics department during his undergrad as well as tutoring in physics and math. He enjoys working with students to help them succeed. In his free time he enjoys biking, stargazing, and gaming with his friends.

Liza earned her BA from Columbia University before earning her MS in Biomedical Sciences from Drexel University. She is currently a medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. With a strong academic foundation and passion for learning, Liza enjoys helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals through personalized support and effective study strategies.

Taylor S.

Dr. Taylor Sloop is a professor at Perimeter College, part of Georgia State University, where she teaches in the Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science Department. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and an MBA from Georgia Tech, both completed in 2024. Dr. Cabral earned her undergraduate degrees from Harvey Mudd College—one in Engineering and the other in Dance—reflecting her lifelong passion for both science and the arts. Her interdisciplinary training has shaped a creative and dynamic teaching style, enabling her to explain complex concepts through a variety of analogies and approaches tailored to each student. In addition to her college teaching, she has been tutoring high school students in STEM subjects and has completed a teaching certification at Georgia Tech to further refine her instructional techniques. When she’s not in the classroom, Dr. Sloop enjoys teaching knitting and crochet, blending logic and creativity in yet another form.
