Ayshan S.
Hello, my name is Ayshan, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in math and physics. With over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I have worked with students at middle school, high school, and early university levels, supporting a wide range of learning needs and academic goals.
I specialize in teaching mathematics and physics in a clear, structured, and student-centered way, focusing on building strong fundamentals and confident problem-solving skills. I believe every student learns differently, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace, strengths, and learning style. Families and students often describe me as patient, approachable, and encouraging, especially when explaining challenging concepts step by step.
In addition to my long-term experience teaching math and physics, I have supported science and engineering courses at York University, including Dynamics, Vibration, Mechanics of Materials, and laboratory courses, which has strengthened my ability to connect math and physics concepts to real-world applications. My dedication to teaching excellence has been recognized with a Teaching Assistantship Award at York University.
I offer both in-person and online tutoring in a supportive and engaging environment. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build confidence, curiosity, and a lasting understanding of math and physics.
HIYA S.
Hiya has been tutoring since grade 9, and teaching has become a favourite part of her week. She loves helping students feel confident, supported, and proud of what they can achieve. Over the years, she has worked with students from many different grade levels and different learning styles, and she always enjoys finding the best way to help each person learn.
Hiya is currently completing her second master’s degree in Health Informatics, which combines mathematics, problem solving, and health sciences. She is also an incoming medical student, having been accepted to Medical School for next year.
Understanding that every student learns differently, she always personalizes her teaching. She want each session to feel positive, comfortable, and motivating. Her overall goal is to help students trust their abilities and enjoy the learning process, even when the material feels tough.
A fun fact about Hiya is that she can speak four languages, and has recently completed a 10K run. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys staying active, exploring new hobbies, and finding creative ways to make learning more fun.
Sagar M.
Sagar M. is a dedicated math, statistics, and coding tutor with over nine years of professional experience helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. He holds a master’s degree and works as a Data Science Manager, applying advanced mathematics, statistics, and analytical thinking to real-world problems every day. Sagar supports students from elementary school through advanced levels in a wide range of subjects, including arithmetic, geometry, algebra, calculus, statistics, and probability. He also prepares students for standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, AP math courses, and other assessments, helping them strengthen both content mastery and test-taking strategies. In addition, Sagar teaches coding to kids and professionals, using structured yet engaging lessons to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills. He believes students learn best through clear examples, real-life applications, and puzzles that make even challenging topics approachable (and occasionally fun). Known for his patient, personalized approach, Sagar is passionate about helping each student reach their full potential while building skills that last well beyond the test.
Kinalben M.
I am a Science and Mathematics Tutor with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Information Systems from Trent University. I work with elementary, middle school, and high school students across the Ontario curriculum, supporting Mathematics (Grades 1–10), Science (Grades 9-10), Chemistry (Grades 11–12), and Physics (Grades 11–12).
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop strong problem-solving abilities. My teaching approach is clear, structured, and step-by-step, allowing students to fully understand concepts rather than rely on memorization. I adapt each lesson to the student’s learning style, pace, and academic goals, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
In addition to tutoring, I have professional experience as a Chemical Laboratory Technician at SGS Canada and currently work as a Field Research Assistant at Corteva Agriscience. These roles have strengthened my attention to detail and ability to explain complex ideas clearly. I am committed to helping students feel confident, motivated, and successful in their learning.

TIAN Z.
Tian holds a Biochemistry degree from the University of Calgary, a Master’s in Genetics and Genomics from the University of Glasgow, and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Calgary. He began tutoring his peers in high school and university and later taught for the University of Calgary’s iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) team during his PhD.
Tian believes that an educator’s role is to nurture students’ inquisitive nature and to fan the flames of curiosity. He aims to create a welcoming, comfortable environment where students feel free to explore their interests and ask questions without fear of judgment. Tian prioritize getting to know his students individually, understanding their motivations for learning and how they learn best.
Outside of academics, Tian enjoys rock climbing and pottery, often spending much of his spare time in the pottery studio. He also loves hiking, cross-country skiing, cooking and experimenting with fermentation.
Brandon H.
Brandon graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Master of Science in Physics, where he also worked as a graduate teaching assistant for four years, teaching physics labs and tutoring students in physics and mathematics. He has supported students from a wide range of backgrounds, helping them build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and tackle challenging concepts. He is highly skilled in math and physical science instruction from the middle school level all the way through college coursework and has tutored extensively in that age range. Brandon is patient, adaptable, and committed to making complex ideas accessible to all.
He’s also a well-known asset at any trivia night, thanks to his habit of collecting utterly unnecessary (but surprisingly useful) random facts.
Ezra H.
As a physics researcher and educator, Ezra has gained 7 years of experience instilling students with the guidance and the insights they need to grasp complex topics. He received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Minnesota, and his M.S. also in Physics from San Diego State University. He has taught math to students from elementary through upper division college courses.
Ezra’s enjoys sharing his excitement about math and theory providing deep insight into how the natural world can be quantified. This has translated well into finding ways unique to each learner that make them capable of finding solutions to novel problems on their own after being guided through examples. The flash of recognition that occurs after a student comes to truly understand a concept is a spark he enjoys creating again and again.
