Nusrat S.

Nusrat is a Master of Computer Science graduate, currently working as a Big Data Analyst at Walmart Canada. She has a diverse background in teaching computer science subjects, working with machine learning models, and writing SQL queries in BigQuery, and she specializes in various programming languages, including Python, C, and C++.
Nusrat earned her Master’s degree from Western University, where she conducted advanced research in cybersecurity and machine learning. She has also co-authored multiple research papers, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in these fields.

In addition to her technical expertise, Nusrat has a passion for teaching. She served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for two years at Western University, where she helped groups of 30 to 40 students grasp complex topics in programming and computer logic. She also worked as a tutor for English-medium science students from grades 5 to 10 in her home country. Nusrat’s teaching approach blends academic knowledge with practical, real-world applications, making her an ideal mentor for students seeking to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Daniel S.

Daniel is a third-year undergraduate student at UBC studying the Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences under the School of Kinesiology. His academic pursuits encompass the disciplines of biomechanics, anatomy and physiology, and developmental psychology. Over the past 3 years, Daniel has had independent tutoring experience with kids as young as 10 and as old as 17, guiding students through junior-level subjects such as introductory paragraph formation and fraction addition, all the way to senior-level sciences, pre-calculus, and analytical essay writing.

Daniel’s teaching style focuses on building the student’s confidence in navigating new material, with the ultimate goal of student independence. Through comprehensive communication and goal planning, Daniel aims to be reliable and trustworthy as an academic resource for his students.

Daniel enjoys playing baseball, silversmithing, and watching sad movies in his spare time. His current professional ambitions include kinesthetic research, and personal training/ coaching.

MITRA G.

Mitra G. holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Technology University and a Bachelor’s in Materials Engineering. With over three years of experience, Mitra has taught a wide range of subjects, including math, physics, chemistry, computer science, various software, english, and piano, to students from primary school to undergraduate levels. She has a deep understanding of the Ontario curriculum and uses dynamic, interactive teaching strategies to help students master challenging concepts. She builds strong, reliable connections with students to create a positive engaging learning environment.
Mitra’s academic career includes few published papers and international conference presentations, reflecting her expertise and passion for education. Her teaching approach has consistently led to significant academic improvements, with students raising their grades by up to 15% through focused problem-solving review sessions. As a teaching assistant at Ontario Tech University, she taught courses such as thermodynamics, heat transfer and metals forming, further refining her ability to break down complex topics with clarity and precision. Kyle H.

Kyle is an experienced BC licensed science teacher with 14 years of
experience in as a classroom teacher. He completed a Bachelor of Science
in Biology/Chemistry at the University of Alberta as well as a Bachelor
and Master of Education at the University of Victoria and the University
of New Brunswick respectively. Over the years, Kyle has taught many
science courses including Science 10, Biology 11/12, Chemistry 11/12, AP
Chemistry and Physics 11/12. With a passion for inspiring learning and a
knack for making complex concepts accessible, Kyle provides
individualized hands on supports for each learner. His goal is to
empower each learner with the confidence and skills they need to succeed
academically and beyond. When Kyle is not teaching, he loves to travel
around the world and immerse himself in new cultures in far-away and
unique places such as Mongolia, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea.

Vincent L.

Vincent is a graduate from the University of Waterloo who obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Biology. He is currently enrolled in the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology dual program at the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute, pursuing to become a medical radiation technologist.
Vincent is well-versed in tutoring math and sciences at the high school and first year university level, with private tutoring experience spanning over 6 years. He was enrolled in a peer-tutoring program to ensure that he understands the needs of his students and strives to see them succeed. He worked with numerous grade 12 students to ensure that their transition to post-secondary went smoothly.
He is very compassionate when it comes to teaching, he understands that everyone has their own learning style and learns at their own pace. Vincent shows dedication and commitment to student education, making him a competent and caring educator.

Morgan F.

Morgan graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science Education, with a concentration in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. She completed her student teaching in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she taught 6th and 8th grade science. After graduating, she was an Au Pair for a year in Bilbao, Spain, where she lived with a family, helping take care of the kids and teaching them English. When she returned to the States, she spent the next year and a half teaching experiential science education at Keystone Science School in Colorado. Morgan loved how her classroom was outside every day, even in the snow, and facilitating hands-on science activities. Most recently, Morgan was able to combine her passion for traveling and teaching by leading a language and cultural immersion program in Costa Rica with a group of high school students. Morgan is dedicated to inspiring the next generation and building meaningful connections with her students along the way. When Morgan isn’t teaching or traveling, you can find her skiing, hiking, or biking in the mountains; kayaking or swimming in a lake; or curled up with a good book!

 

ANASH C.

Anash has a honors Bachelor’s degree of Medical Science, and Master’s Degree in Environmental Public Health. He has worked as a tutor for 10 years and has taught primary, junior, and secondary Math, Sciences and English. He has also taught university level chemistry, biology and physiology courses. In his free time, Anash likes to plays sports like hockey, baseball, tennis and basketball.

I am Pawel and I have a PhD in mechanical engineering and work as a research scientist and lecturer at UBC. I’m passionate about math and science, especially when it comes to applying these subjects to real-world problems. As an engineering enthusiast, I love exploring how mathematical concepts and scientific principles can be used to innovate in fields like rehabilitation and sports technology. My experience in programming and biomechanics allows me to break down complex ideas into understandable parts, making learning both accessible and exciting. I enjoy taking new ideas, testing them, and seeing how they can make a difference in people’s lives. As a tutor, my goal is to inspire students by showing them the practical applications of what they’re learning in class. Whether it’s using algebra to optimize a sports technique or applying physics to design better rehabilitation tools, I’m here to help students see the real-world impact of their studies and nurture their problem-solving skills.

Hi Everyone, My name is Manpreet K. I am an OCT certified educator with a strong background in STEM subjects, currently teaching physics, chemistry, science, and maths at a high school in midtown, toronto. This will be my third year at this school, following two successful years of nurturing students’ understanding and appreciation of these subjects. I hold a Master’s degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Education, and I have previously taught at renowned institutions in India.
I have been teaching online as well on various platforms from the last 2 years to all the grades from 9-12.
