Kerrin has been an experienced teacher in Asia for 12 years, teaching senior chemistry, senior biology, mathematics 10, science 10, and physics 11. Kerrin is very passionate about science education and has numerous experiences assisting students to achieve their academic goals.
Kerrin has recently returned from Asia teaching first at Nisga’a Elementary Secondary School and currently teaching at Whistler Secondary School. Outside of work he often engages in numerous sporting activities.

Félix a obtenu un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en sciences pures et appliquées au Collège Dawson. Il poursuit ensuite des études en sciences environnementales et sociales à l’Université de Montréal. Une de ses matières de spécialité comprend les mathématiques du niveau primaire à cégep. Félix a plus de 5 ans d’expérience en tutorat et a obtenu de nombreux prix académiques durant son parcours scolaire. De plus, en 2021, Félix a suivi un cours de tutorat pédagogique de français pour maîtriser des compétences en tutorat. Il a également de l’expérience de tutorat avec des étudiants de niveau primaire à cégep en français. Félix s’intéresse beaucoup à la transition environnementale et sociale et il est impliqué dans plusieurs associations. Il aime faire de l’exercice; il court compétitivement et fait du ski de fond en hiver.
Félix earned a cégep diploma (DEC) in Pure and Applied Sciences at Dawson College. He then went on to study environmental and social science at Université de Montreal. His speciality subjects include Math and Physics covering Calculus 1, 2, 3, and Linear Algebra. Felix has over 5 years of tutoring experience and has obtained multiple academic awards in his area of speciality. Furthermore, in 2021 Felix completed a pedagogical tutoring course to master his tutoring technique. He also has experience tutoring students in Elementary-Cégep level French. Felix is deeply interested in the environmental and social transition and he is involved in several associations. He loves to exercise as he runs competitively and cross country skis during winter.

Currently a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering, Amir has more than a decade of experience teaching mathematics and physics at all grade levels. As a teaching assistant at the University of Manitoba, they play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of engineers.
Hamed M.
Dr. Hamed Mirzaei is a passionate educator with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in materials science, applied electromagnetics, and gas monitoring. His love for solving problems sparked a deep passion for teaching and facilitating learning for others, a drive that has flourished over the past 14 years. Hamed has had the privilege of teaching and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of British Columbia, working across various courses such as Physics, Thermodynamics, and Mathematics for Engineers. He strives to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, using an interactive and communicative approach to make complex concepts accessible to students.
In 2018, Hamed moved to Canada to pursue his Ph.D., eager to embrace a new culture, experience fresh activities, and make international contributions through his research. This journey has enriched his academic and personal life, broadened his perspectives, and strengthened his education commitment. Fluent in Persian and English, with conversational skills in French, Hamed brings a global outlook to his teaching, ensuring students are equipped with diverse knowledge and skills to thrive in a changing world.
Alongside his university teaching, Hamed has been dedicated to providing one-on-one personalized instruction, delivering high-level education tailored to meet the individual needs of his students. This Personalized approach allows him to help learners build confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.
Outside of the academic sphere, Hamed is passionate about sports and nature. He enjoys playing soccer, skiing during the winter months, and hiking as often as possible in the warmer seasons. These activities balance his intellectual pursuits and allow him to stay active and energized. Through his teaching and personal endeavors, Dr. Mirzaei remains committed to fostering positive learning environments and contributing meaningfully on a global scale. Hello! Winnipeg born and raised, I have a B.Sc in Physics with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. This led to a PhD in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manitoba and ultimately working as an astrophysicist with NASA at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
I found my love of teaching through outreach events at the university planetarium, Science Rendezvous, and leading the astrophysics course laboratory sessions. Now I am back home and looking to pursue a teaching career.
I have more than 10 years experience with tutoring and teaching students of varying levels and backgrounds and know that the same approach will not work for everyone. Together let’s figure out which approach will work for you.

Armed with a Master’s degree in Physics and a Bachelor’s in Education, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. Coming from a family of teachers, Binita always knew education was her calling. Throughout her career, she has taught over 1,000 students and published a research paper in physics, demonstrating her commitment to her field and continuous professional growth.

Brian is a UBC Engineering student who has a great understanding of the BC curriculum. He took an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12.
He ran clubs that required him to teach Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Brian is confident in his Mathematics. He won the Pascal and Cayley Math Contests awards medals and several papers of distinction. However, it is important to note that Brian’s target audience is not limited to high school students. Brian peer tutored in middle school. He has experience teaching mathematics to grades 6 to 8 as well. Brian can teach Chemistry as well and achieved the highest score for the Chemistry Avogadro Exam in his school. He can cover a wide range of topics in greater depth, including Stoichiometry, Molecular Structure & Bonding, Periodicity, Acids and Bases, Electrochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, and more. Brian’s target audience for Chemistry is students in grades 9 to 12.
Brian is capable of teaching Physics. He won fourth place in Quizzics, held during the Physics Olympics on March 9th, 2024. The list of topics he can teach includes Kinematics, Dynamics, Energy, Momentum, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Wave Phenomena, and more. Brian’s target audience for Physics is students in grades 9 to 12.
