Megan M.

Megan McCoy is a Certified Teacher. She grew up in Emmett, moving to Colville, Washington, and Carson City, Nevada, to complete an Online Undergraduate Degree in General Education (K-8) and Special Education (K-12) with an endorsement in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education with an endorsement in Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Megan grew up with a deep love of travel, concerts, and the ocean, and took the opportunity to explore the West Coast while completing her degrees. During her stays, Megan discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. When she decided to pursue teaching as a career, Megan moved back home to teach in her hometown and begin a family. Through teaching, Megan has been able to foster her love of Math and reading. During the summer months, Megan enjoys teaching summer school (which encourages all children to enjoy learning through interactive, consistent, and hands-on experiences), reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Megan is beginning to work one-on-one with children from 6 years old through middle school in her spare time who struggle with behavior, as well as helping support them by improving their reading, writing, vocabulary, and math skills. Hailing from Ecuador, he has 17 years of experience teaching Mathematics, Design, and Technology at an International Baccalaureate School. Rene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral and is passionate about fostering student success. He relocated to San Antonio to pursue a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics for Industry. Michael’s teaching experience spans a wide range of settings, from one-on-one tutoring in high school to leading review sessions for hundreds of college students. He was even selected as the pedagogy fellow in his graduate program, responsible for preparing incoming graduate students to teach—an honor that reflects both deep content knowledge and outstanding instructional skill. Adriana is a trained bioengineering scientist with a passion for STEM education. She has over six years of tutoring experience, working with students from Pre-K through high school in subjects including biology, chemistry, algebra, and pre-calculus. As a native Spanish speaker, she also has experience tutoring and supporting students with Spanish speaking and writing assignments. Adriana brings a positive attitude, patience, and a personal approach to each tutoring session, always striving to connect with her students to maximize learning and engagement.

Chris E.

Chris E. has always had a strong passion for the hard sciences. After graduating high school he attended the University of Colorado – Boulder and graduated with a BA in Evolutionary Biology. After completing this degree, he worked in a biology research lab at the University of Colorado – Anschutz medical campus where he helped publish several papers. He is currently a graduate student at UTSA in the Biotechnology program and will graduate with an MS Fall of 2025.

Chris has formally and informally tutored his peers and other students throughout his entire academic career. He takes great pride in being able to resonate with others on their level, and firmly believes that anyone can learn even the most advanced scientific concepts, all it takes is the right tutor! I am a college professor of Mathematics at SUNY Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY. I am also a NYS permanently certified 7-12 secondary Mathematics teacher (since 2000), with a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematics Secondary Education and a PhD in Mathematics and Curriculum.  I’ve taught all levels of mathematics in high school and higher education, as well as run a successful tutoring business that focuses on success on the NYS regents’ math exams.

Daniela is a senior at Brigham Young University, studying Statistics with an emphasis in Data Science and a minor in Mathematics. Born and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia, Daniela is an alumna of the Kennesaw Mountain High School STEM Magnet Program. Thomas R. is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in wireless communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Electrophysics from Linköping University in Sweden, where he is originally from.

Thomas has over four years of experience as a teaching assistant at the university level, supporting instruction in various engineering courses. He has also provided tutoring in both Sweden and the United States, including after-school support while working as a youth leader. She has a deep love for agriculture and is passionate about fostering hands-on learning as a robotics sponsor and 4-H sponsor.
