Matt T.

Matt Tracy has a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University in New York City and a proven track record of helping students excel in college entrance exams (ACT and SAT) and their English and mathematics courses. With three years of tutoring experience, Matt is an expert at guiding students through K-12 level reading, writing, and English, as well at preparing high-school students for their ACT and SAT exams.

Matt’s teaching experience began in high school when he started an SAT Prep Club to help his classmates do as well if not better than him on the test. His passion for education grew while working at the Writing Lab Center (two years) at Fordham. This experience gave Matt the opportunity to support students from all background and help them reach their full potential.

In addition to his business journalism and tutoring pursuits, Matt enjoys reading up on politics and current events. He also is actively engaged in his local community and loves to frequent locally-owned coffee shops and other businesses.

Sandra M.

Sandra is a dedicated and experienced tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida. She has extensive experience working with students from Pre-K through college across a wide range of subjects, including English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and social studies. She also provides test preparation for ACT, SAT, PSAT, SSAT and ISEE.

In addition to tutoring, Sandra has taught at a Sunday school, where she works with young children to support their learning and development. This unique combination of early childhood teaching and college-level tutoring allows her to work comfortably with students of varying ages, learning styles, and academic abilities. She takes pride in making complex concepts approachable and engaging while creating a supportive learning environment tailored to each student’s individual needs.

Sandra graduated with a 4.0 GPA and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in May 2025. She is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Nova Southeastern University, further building on her strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and the health sciences. During her undergraduate studies, she also gained valuable research experience in organic chemistry, molecular materials, cellular biology, and health sciences. Her academic excellence and research background has given her a strong understanding of scientific concepts and enables her to confidently tutor these subjects at college level, helping students master challenging material and succeed in their coursework.

Outside of tutoring and her studies, Sandra enjoys dancing, staying active, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Erin F.

Erin is an experienced literacy tutor with a Master’s degree in English Education, 10 years of experience in the field of education, and a profound love for stories. Her approach emphasizes patience and flexibility in addressing the needs of each student, helping them build confidence in addition to strong linguistic and academic skills.

Erin specializes in grammar, essay writing, literary analysis, and standardized test prep. When she isn’t helping students learn to love language, she can be found backpacking Florida’s swamps, learning to dance salsa, or devouring the latest fantasy bestseller alongside her elderly cat, Charles.

Alexis R.

Alexis is a certified teacher who loves helping kids increase their ability to achieve goals through learning. Born in Indiana, Alexis graduated with a psychology degree from Anderson University. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She has taught second grade, fifth grade math and science, and STEM specials for Fulton and Paulding County. Alexis has years of experience working with students with ADHD and can provide strategies to develop focus. Alexis believes in collaborating with teachers and consistent building toward real world application to foster achievement and growth.

Alexis has also created two successful businesses: one an early learning childcare business; the other a non-profit helping kids with cancer. In her opinion, helping children helps families who help the world. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family, volunteering in the children’s ministry and writing her first YA novel.

Al T.

Al T. is a veteran teacher at both the high school and university levels, with more than two decades of experience. He primarily teaches English literature and writing, but also offers instruction in journalism, speech, and humanities.
As a native New Orleanian, he is honored to serve the city he loves and its future leaders.

Tammy G.

Tammy graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and completed a Masters Degree in Education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Tammy has taught high school mathematics the past 25+ years in Appleton, Wisconsin, Fort Myers and Sarasota, Florida. She has tutored both middle and high school students for homework help, to pass ACT/SAT, PSAT, CLT, and the HESI Nursing Exam. She is very patient and nonjudgmental. It makes her happy when a student finally “gets it” understands a concept they couldn’t previously.

Outside of school, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and reading.

Kristine K.

Kristine is a Certified Teacher with more than 30 years’ experience both in the classroom and as a tutor. She graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Math Education. Kristine spent most of the 30 years in Jefferson Parish Public School System high schools teaching everything from remedial through honors math classes and taught 5th grade for 3 years. She loves one-on-one work, as it allows the time for her to verify the student’s strengths and weaknesses to focus on areas where improvement is needed. She uses topics that interest each student for a more personal and engaging learning experience. As a tutor, Kristine is very dedicated to using methods that each student can learn from. She also believes in frequent communication with parents as part of the learning team. She believes that laughter is an essential part of learning and considers all questions to be important.

Jean Carlo M.

Jean Carlo is an accomplished teacher with seven years of teaching experience. He grew up in Hudson County, NJ and went to Rutgers University where he graduated with a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in History and a concentration in Education. He got his start in Jersey City as a 9th grade English I intern teacher then moved on to Hackensack where he taught mostly 12th grade English IV for five years. Currently, he teaches SAT/ACT courses to help students score higher in their exams and has helped students with college essays as well as getting into enrichment programs for scholarships and course prep.

He has spent years inspiring students and fostering a love of literature. In addition, he’s expanded what literature means to his students while improving their vocabulary, writing, and reading skills. He enjoys using pop culture and music to enrich students’ understanding of a text. Because who doesn’t enjoy exploring a theme like materialism by analyzing songs like Kendrick Lamar’s “How Much a Dollar Cost?”

Joseph M.

Joe Moran is a firm believer in the transformative power of education. He’s been involved in the educational field for 30 years as a teacher, supervisor, assistant principal, principal, and coach. He’s worked for the most part at the middle and high school levels. He holds NJ certification as a teacher of English, a teacher of social studies, a supervisor, a principal and a school administrator. As one might expect, all types of learners have been a part of his story. All have received the attention they deserve and the approach that best addresses their needs.

Joe earned an AB in English and history from Boston College, as well as a MA in Education from St. Peter’s College and an Ed.S. from Seton Hall University. He is employed as a middle school social studies and language arts teacher in a NJ public school district. His spare time involves travel and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as fixing (or more accurately paying others to fix) his 100+ year old house.
