He relocated to San Antonio to pursue a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics for Industry. During his graduate studies, Rene served as a university instructor, teaching Quantitative Reasoning to freshman. Additionally, he applied his skills at Knowledge and Training through an internship focused on assessing and refining instructional methods, demonstrating a commitment to differentiated instruction and diverse learning styles. Rene’s experience includes implementing individualized learning plans, exploring innovative pedagogical approaches such as peer learning and flipped classrooms, and utilizing student feedback to enhance teaching practices. Aidan M.

Aidan M. is a passionate educator with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he focused on Data Analytics and Cloud Networking. He has over two years of experience tutoring math at a private institution and currently teaches all levels of math through Pre-Calculus, as well as computer science, physics, and English. Known for his clear and structured teaching style, Aidan emphasizes a foundational approach: identifying gaps in understanding and guiding students step by step until they feel confident tackling challenges independently. His greatest joy comes from watching students turn confusion into clarity and self-doubt into confidence. Outside the classroom, Aidan is a jazz enthusiast who plays saxophone and piano, enjoys programming to solve real-life problems, and is always learning something new, often while singing along to his favorite songs.

Robert P.

Robert has over 15 years of teaching experience in high school biology, computer science, and health sciences. He is passionate about helping students truly understand what they are learning, not just memorizing facts. Robert’s teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and highly interactive — designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills.

Robert specializes in making complex topics simple and engaging, whether it’s AP Biology, Honors Biology, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, or foundational programming in Python.

Michael graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Masters of Science in Mathematics, a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, and a Bachelors of Science in Physics. He is currently finishing up a Masters in Philosophy.

Before joining Prep Academy Tutors, Michael had 4 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor in both Mathematics and Philosophy. He also has served as a guest lecturer in philosophy courses. Michael’s commitment to his students is strong, and he cares deeply about teaching and helping people learn.

 

Nicole D.

Nicole graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with two Bachelor’s degrees, one in History and one in Elementary Education, with a minor in Bilingual Education. Nicole taught for eleven years, over the course of which she excelled at math and reading instruction. In addition to math and reading intervention, Nicole was a bilingual educator (Spanish) and a dyslexia interventionist. However, her real passion lies in Robotics and Computer Science.

Nicole has written Robotics/Computer Science curriculum for two districts. She has also taken several teams to competition with VEX and FIRST(tm) who have successfully won awards over the years.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys visiting her daughter, who attends LSU, and spending time with her two dogs.

Dr. Lance F. is a seasoned educator and mechanical engineer specializing in musculoskeletal biomechanics at the Southwest Research Institute.
