Leila “Sunny” H.
Leila holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has over 10 years experience teaching in public elementary and middle school settings as well as homeschool classrooms. Currently, Leila uses her passion and expertise for engaging emerging and struggling readers with one on one explicit instruction. Adhering to the philosophy of The Science of Reading, which addresses all components of language (spelling, phonics, writing, and oral communication along with reading) her passion is connecting with the individual student and developing an engaging and personalized curriculum that fosters their desire to learn. Leila utilizes an approach that is centered around games and personal connection. She believes educational success should also include parental involvement and finds creative ways to incorporate learning into family life and uses positive communication to work as a team within the family unit. Mia F.
Mia has a Bachelor of Education degree from McGill University.
She has worked for one year as a teacher at St. George’s Elementary School and is currently in her second year of teaching at Solomon Schechter Academy.
Her specialties include English and math for students at the elementary level. In addition, she has worked as a student teacher at Lower Canada College and Akiva where she supported the teacher’s objectives, planned, prepared and implemented original lessons and activities.

Carole E. has been writing professionally since 2006 and has served as editor of multiple industry publications, including UGA Research magazine (2006-2007), Bryan Ellis Investing Letter (2008-2016), Think Realty magazine (2017-2018), Self-Directed Investor (2015-2020), and REI INK (2023-present). In addition to editorial positions, Carole has experience in science/medical reporting (10 years), as a technical writer (18 years), and a real estate analyst and reporter (18 years). Today, Carole creates boutique, ghost-written content and has written multiple books on subjects ranging from personal memoirs to success, business growth and logistics, and motivation. Many of those books have become Amazon bestsellers.
Carole also has decades of experience working with children in myriad venues from sports to scouts (she currently serves as cubmaster for her local pack) to teaching writing, reading comprehension, and standardized testing skills. When COVID-19 entered the educational scene in 2020, Carole took on the full-time education of her sons, then ages four and five. Using Georgia state standards as a guide, she has created multiple years’ worth of entertaining, educational, and compelling content (and continues to do so). Thanks to her background in technical and science reporting, she can, she is fond of saying, “explain just about anything to just about anybody.” She loves to watch people of all ages experience the joy and power associated with effective communication. Amy grew up with an ardent love for reading and the English language. Thirsty for knowledge, Amy pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Hodges University, graduating magna cum laude. She fulfilled a life-long dream of becoming an educator when she received her teaching certification in English/Language Arts. Amy’s expertise includes not only raising test scores but also cultivating enthusiasm for learning in her beloved students. She has supported students on every level from kindergarten to college, from whole-class to specialized one-on-one instruction. Her passions? Aoife is a passionate teacher and BC certified educator dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. With six years of teaching experience in Ireland, before working in Canada as a resource teacher, she brings a wealth of knowledge and innovative strategies to her tutoring sessions.
Aoife graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Dublin in 2016, where she developed a strong foundation in educational practices.Holding a second degree in psychology, Aoife understands the unique learning styles of each student, allowing her to tailor her approach for maximum impact. Katherine (Kat) graduated from Alliant International University (online study) in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She spent a few years working in higher education in financial aid and, later, in a registrar’s office. Since 2019 she has also worked as an online tutor for Russian students, ages ranging from 4 to 45. In the past students have received training for interview skills, spoken English practice, preparing for international exams, grammar, and much more! Her passion is to inspire students and engage them in the subject matter they are studying.
In her spare time, Kat enjoys taking photos of and spending time in nature, journaling, reading and has recently taken up drawing and painting.
Beth P.
Alongside having years of tutoring experience, Beth tutors students where she fosters an engaging, personalized one-on-one interactive lesson. Beth has tutored students aged PreK to middle school, with a focus on reading. She also has led small tutoring groups of elementary-aged learners. Beth earned her BA in History with a Music minor from Elmhurst University.
