Sandra M.
Sandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida and brings a strong academic foundation to her role as a tutor. For the past three years, she has worked with students ranging from Pre-K to college, teaching subjects such as English, chemistry, organic chemistry, and various math courses.
Sandra’s unique experience spans early childhood education and college-level tutoring, giving her a versatile and adaptive teaching style. She takes pride in making complex topics approachable and believes in creating a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs.
She recently graduated in May 2025 and is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Nova Southeastern University. Erin F.
Erin is an experienced literacy tutor with a Master’s degree in English Education, 10 years of experience in the field of education, and a profound love for stories. Her approach emphasizes patience and flexibility in addressing the needs of each student, helping them build confidence in addition to strong linguistic and academic skills.
Erin specializes in grammar, essay writing, literary analysis, and standardized test prep. When she isn’t helping students learn to love language, she can be found backpacking Florida’s swamps, learning to dance salsa, or devouring the latest fantasy bestseller alongside her elderly cat, Charles.
Dao N.
Dr. Dao N. is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at San Diego State University. His teaching philosophy centers on cultivating student enthusiasm and motivation, which he sees as essential to academic success.
Dao earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Wayne State University. His research interests include optimization, control theory, and data science, and he is currently writing a book on machine learning. He’s passionate about both the theoretical and applied sides of mathematics. Outside academia, he enjoys singing, playing instruments, hiking, cooking, swimming, and spending time with friends.
Todd B.
Todd brings over 25 years of experience as a high school English teacher, working with students in grades 9–12. For the past 11 years, he has taught AP English Literature and Composition, and he currently teaches AP English Language and Composition at Grossmont High School. His dedication to student success is reflected in results—his most recent AP Literature class earned an outstanding 89.8% pass rate on the exam.
In addition to his subject expertise, Todd specializes in executive functioning support, helping students master time management, strengthen study skills, break large projects into manageable steps, use planners effectively, and prioritize assignments. These strategies not only improve academic performance but also build confidence and independence.
Known for delivering engaging and effective instruction, Todd connects with students of all backgrounds, tailoring lessons to both challenge and inspire them. He is skilled in developing clear, well-structured learning materials using Microsoft and Google tools, and he excels at managing dynamic classroom environments while maintaining consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
When he’s not teaching, Todd enjoys time with his two daughters, coaching the women’s wrestling team, and helping out at Friday night football games at his school. He brings the same warmth, patience, and commitment to tutoring that he does to his own family and community.
Alexis R.
Alexis is a certified teacher who loves helping kids increase their ability to achieve goals through learning. Born in Indiana, Alexis graduated with a psychology degree from Anderson University. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She has taught second grade, fifth grade math and science, and STEM specials for Fulton and Paulding County. Alexis has years of experience working with students with ADHD and can provide strategies to develop focus. Alexis believes in collaborating with teachers and consistent building toward real world application to foster achievement and growth.
Alexis has also created two successful businesses: one an early learning childcare business; the other a non-profit helping kids with cancer. In her opinion, helping children helps families who help the world. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family, volunteering in the children’s ministry and writing her first YA novel.
Steven G.
Steven G. is a dynamic educator and data analyst with over 12 years of experience helping students and professionals master complex subjects through clear, structured, and results-driven instruction. With a background that bridges technical precision and educational insight, Steven specializes in high school and college-level math, science, and standardized test preparation, including the SAT, and AP exams.
A former high school valedictorian, National Merit Scholar, and AP test top-scorer, Steven knows firsthand what it takes to excel academically. His teaching approach is analytical, encouraging, and adaptable, equipping students not just with content knowledge, but with the confidence and strategic thinking needed to succeed in high-pressure academic environments.
Steven has tutored learners in algebra, geometry, precalculus, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and college-level composition, as well as coached professionals in data tools like Python, Excel, and Tableau. He understands how to meet students where they are, break down difficult concepts, and turn uncertainty into clarity.
As co-owner of Prep Academy Tutors North Austin, Steven is also deeply committed to creating a learning environment that supports families holistically. He believes that when students feel respected, challenged, and supported, they rise to meet the expectations set before them.
Outside of tutoring, Steven is an avid reader, martial arts instructor, and father of twins. Whether he’s helping a student improve their test scores or guiding them through the logic of a tricky math problem, his goal is the same: to help learners unlock their potential and carry that confidence forward in every area of life.

Al Tritico is a veteran teacher at both the high school and university levels, with more than two decades of experience. He primarily teaches English literature and writing, but also offers instruction in journalism, speech, and humanities.

Grace F.
Grace F. is earning her degree in Elementary Education at North Central College, where she has maintained a high GPA and earned a spot on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. Originally from Elmhurst, she discovered her love of teaching while helping classmates with writing, research, and public speaking. What started as casual tutoring turned into a true passion for supporting students.
Grace has worked with learners from early childhood through middle school, developing creative, student-centered lessons through daycare and summer programs. She believes every child learns differently and thrives on adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
Through her college placements, Grace has taught in 1st through 4th grade classrooms and supported 5th grade accelerated math, gaining experience in literacy, math, and science. She also helps students strengthen executive functioning skills like organization, planning, and time management—because sometimes, learning how to learn is the biggest lesson of all.
Outside the classroom, Grace enjoys birdwatching and exploring the outdoors. Her love of animals and education came together through the Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society, where she taught scout groups about bird care and behavior. She’s been helping students—and birds—take flight ever since.

Angela has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Education. She is a history nerd who loves all things technology-related!
Through her fifteen years as a teacher, tutor, and educational professional, she believes in the power of education and technology. Students of all ages are capable of learning.
