Veronica P.

Veronica is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Her academic journey includes two years of study toward a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, which provided her with a robust foundation within the various branches of mathematics. Her strong academic performance has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions.

Veronica’s enthusiasm for mathematics extends into its application across technology, science, and business. Outside the classroom, she has garnered valuable experience working with students ranging from preschool to high school through tutoring, volunteering in classrooms, after-school programs, and summer camps. Veronica is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop the skills needed to achieve their goals.

 

JESPER D. B.

Jesper is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he obtained a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology. He is proficient in biology, chemistry & mathematics at high school & university levels and has tutored students and peers from Grades 9-12. Jesper is passionate about education and helping others understand the curriculum material and succeed in their studies. He is looking forward to making an impact in students’ learning by encouraging discussion, curiosity and application. Jesper is a native of Newmarket and is fluent in Dutch and English. In his spare time, Jesper loves travelling, taking his two dogs, Simba and Koda for walks, reading a good book, or chatting about science.”

 

ADELAIDE G

Adelaide is a second year medical student at the University of St. Andrew’s, Scotland, in the six year direct medical program. She graduated high school in 2023 from the University of Toronto Schools (UTS) with distinction and awards in Chemistry, Biology, and community service. At UTS, she tutored grade 11 level Chemistry students and acted as a school Prefect.

Her love of working with kids grew when she became a hands-on and inclusive therapeutic recreation volunteer at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. She is also a lifeguard during summer months where she supervises kids to ensure a safe and fun environment.

Over this period of time, Adelaide has developed a deep desire to aid young middle school aged teens in reaching their full potentials and excelling academically. She believes in having someone friendly, organized, and encouraging to help any student gain confidence in Science and Math courses, while also offering specialized help in organizational skills and time management. Finally, she has significant experience in preparing for the UCAT examination. As such, she is available to Grade 11 students interested in applying to direct medical programs in the United Kingdom.

In Adelaide’s spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog, cycling, volunteering with seniors, and yoga. At university she’s a member of the Medical Society and the recreational tennis team.

 

Susan A.

Susan A. is a Certified Teacher and Trained Educational Clinician with over a decade of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Math Education K-12 from The University of Texas, with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Susan specializes in personalized, multisensory instruction for students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning difficulties like dyscalculia and autism spectrum disorder. She takes pride in building strong relationships with her students, making online sessions comfortable and enjoyable. Her students know she always goes above and beyond to ensure their success. When she’s not busy helping students conquer their math fears, you might find her trying to figure out which came first: the lesson plan or the coffee.

 

STEPHANIE A.

Stephanie is an enthusiastic teacher candidate with her OCT transitional certificate (2024), holding a bilingual Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology from York University (2022) and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University (2025), specializing in Intermediate and Senior education. During school, she excelled in French, Chemistry, Biology and tutors these subjects as well as G9/10 Math & Science, G11 Functions & G12 Advanced Functions.
Stephanie prioritizes being able to connect with her students. She is always in the know about what’s going on in students’ worlds and makes sure to deliver her lessons in a language that students can not only relate to, but also comfortably internalize. She tailors her lessons to emphasize students’ strengths and to encourage students to become comfortable with the material in the ways that best facilitate their learning.

Emilee D. is a dynamic and compassionate educator currently in her second year at Teacher’s College. With a background in Psychology from York University and extensive international experience, Emilee’s teaching journey took her to France, where she excelled as an English teacher, teaching assistant, and tutor. Emilee’s enthusiasm and commitment to fostering

As she joins Prep Academy, she is excited to leverage her diverse experience to support and inspire students, all while continuing to grow as an educator. Laxshaa N. is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in education, data analysis, digital content management, fitness, and nutrition. She holds a Master of Education specializing in Assessment & Evaluation, a Master of Management Analytics from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology and Criminal Justice & Public Policy from the University of Guelph. Laxshaa is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Leadership at Walden University.

She is currently a Student Success Project Manager at Centennial College, where she leads and manages quality assurance initiatives, develops comprehensive surveys, conducts environmental scans, and presents data-driven insights to enhance student success. Her expertise in data visualization techniques and statistical studies has been instrumental in improving advising operations and student engagement at the college.

Moreover, as a Professor of Marketing in the School of Business, she teaches various courses related to market research and analytics, has designed curricula, implemented active learning strategies, and created experiential learning opportunities, ensuring alignment with industry standards and academic excellence.

Outside of her professional life, Laxshaa is a fitness enthusiast, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach. She enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle and incorporates her love for cooking into her nutrition coaching. This passion for fitness and well-being complements her dedication to her professional work and personal growth.

Hi Everyone, My name is Manpreet K. I am an OCT certified educator with a strong background in STEM subjects, currently teaching physics, chemistry, science, and maths at a high school in midtown, toronto. This will be my third year at this school, following two successful years of nurturing students’ understanding and appreciation of these subjects. I hold a Master’s degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Education, and I have previously taught at renowned institutions in India.
I have been teaching online as well on various platforms from the last 2 years to all the grades from 9-12.

Claire received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 2016, with a double major in English and Women & Gender Studies and a minor in Semiotics & Communication Theory. During her undergraduate studies, Claire served as the editor for various sections of Victoria College’s newspaper (The Strand), honing her proofreading, writing support, and digital design skills. She also spent two years as the elected Equity Commissioner of Victoria College’s student council, working with other student groups to organize and push for improved equity-related programming and policies on campus.

Claire discovered her passion for teaching and education during the two years she spent working as an English language instructor and private tutor in Spain. Claire completed her Master of Teaching in the Junior/Intermediate stream at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) (University of Toronto) in 2023. Claire is deeply passionate about Special Education and supporting learners across diverse abilities and experiences.
