ARSHI K.
Arshi is a dedicated pre-service teacher with a Ph.D. in Life Sciences and over 10 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about fostering student success through innovative, inclusive teaching practices. She is currently enrolled in Brock University’s Bachelor of Education program (September 2024). Arshi has experience in designing and delivering engaging lessons for diverse learners in science to foster academic independence and critical thinking through customized instruction. She has also developed personalized resources for high school students, focusing on academic success and test preparation.
TALHA C.
Talha C. is a dedicated researcher and educator pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Physiology at the University of Toronto. He holds an Honors Bachelor of Science from U of T in Neuroscience, with minors in Physiology and Biology, from which he graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.91/4.0, recent 3-year GPA of 3.96/4.0, and an MCAT score of 519/528 (96th percentile). He currently holds a 4.0/4.0 in his MSc program. His research focuses on the effects of insulin sensitizers on atherosclerosis, with expertise in advanced surgical techniques and metabolic assays. He has contributed to and co-authored multiple research projects, including studies on antipsychotic-induced metabolic dysfunction and hippocampal learning, with an abstract accepted for oral presentation at the American Diabetes Association’s 85th Scientific Sessions. Talha has secured prestigious scholarships like the Research and Health Science Education Entrance Scholarship, awarded to the top 2% of candidates entering graduate programs at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Beyond research, he is an experienced teaching assistant, supporting physiology and biomedical courses, and mentoring undergraduate students in laboratory techniques and thesis writing at the University of Toronto.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Talha has extensive experience in volunteerism, editing, and advocacy. As a hospice volunteer, he has provided compassionate care to patients, ensuring dignity and comfort in end-of-life settings. He has served as a senior copy editor for University of Toronto’s oldest student newspaper, The Varsity, managing a large team while upholding journalistic integrity on sensitive topics. Olivia B.
Olivia grew up in Ontario and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa. With a strong academic background in the sciences and extensive experience tutoring children, she is now preparing to attend teacher’s college to pursue her passion for education.
Olivia has experience working in childcare and strives to deliver an engaging and fun learning environment tailored to each students learning style. Her approach is patient, supportive, and structured, ensuring that children feel encouraged while building essential skills for success.
Beyond teaching, Olivia has travelled all over Europe and Australia and has developed a passion for travelling. In her free time Olivia enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding and the occasional polar plunge to keep things interesting (and very cold). She is currently living full time in Whistler and taking in all the beautiful things that Whistler has to offer!
YASHAR E-I.
Yashar has over 10 years of experience tutoring all sciences and math courses under the Ontario curriculum to students from Gr. 9-12. He grew up in Richmond Hill, pursuing an undergraduate honours degree in Chemistry from York University. His passion for learning chemistry during his undergraduate career led him to pursue a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Chemistry, from which he graduated in March 2025. As a graduate student, Yashar was a teaching assistant (i.e., marker and led tutorials and labs) for over 300 students in first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate chemistry courses, including Introduction to Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Advanced Analytical Chemistry. His research was sponsored internationally by NASA and NOAA, where he spent several months as a research-exchange student at NOAA headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. Yashar learned early during his educational career that the best method to master any material was to teach it to his peers and colleagues, developing a passion for teaching and mentoring students to achieve their academic goals. After teaching more than 60 high school students as a tutor, Yashar has developed a strong sense of various teaching styles for his students, ensuring that high school students gain the confidence they need to pursue their academic goals. Apart from tutoring science and math to students, Yash enjoys being a mentor to many of his students, guiding them to pursue their own undergraduate careers in STEM fields.
Michelle H.
Michelle is a teacher candidate at Queen’s University in the Concurrent Education program, working toward her Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Senior) and Honours Bachelor of Science in Physics and Biology. She has completed student teaching placements in both Montessori and high school classrooms and has experience creating/teaching lesson plans and classroom management for students aged 5-14 through her work as a summer camp teacher.
A lifelong educator and learner at heart, she has been tutoring since high school, where she tutored peers through the homework club and founded an origami club to teach origami to others.
Kathleen H.
Kathleen has a Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology and a Bachelor of Education from York University. She has over 3 years of experience teaching General Science and Biology overseas and currently works for WRDSB as an OCT certified teacher. She is qualified Intermediate/Senior in Biology, Geography and General Sciences. Kathleen is passionate and is eager to help students in their education.

Matei has a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the university of Western Ontario. He has three years of experience working as a teaching assistant at the University of Western Ontario, running labs and tutorials, as well as holding office hours to explain concepts and field questions from students. In his spare time, Matei enjoys fencing, occasionally attending competitions.
CHLOE B.
Chloe is a third-year Biological Science student at the University of Guelph with over four years of tutoring experience. Since 2020, she has worked one-on-one with students aged 3 to 12, providing academic support in a variety of subjects, mainly French and English.
