Currently serving as an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) my educational journey began at the University of Toronto, where I earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, followed by further studies at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, culminating in the achievement of my Bachelor of Education degree. I have been privileged to work with diverse student populations, spanning Kindergarten to Grade 8, for the past six years.

In addition to my academic achievements, I have undertaken various Additional Qualifications to enhance my ability to meet the unique needs of students. Currently holding certifications in Math Primary/Junior (Specialist), Teaching English Language Learners (Part 1 and 2, Specialist in progress), Reading (Part 1), and Special Education (Part 1), I am equipped with a comprehensive skill set to provide personalized and effective tutoring.

Bringing expertise in Earth/Space Science and Social Sciences 9-12, Chris has a proven track record of guiding students towards success since 2016. Specializing in SAT & ACT ELA preparation, Chris equips students with the skills they need to excel.

 

Joliette R.

Joliette currently works as an elementary teacher at Sanson’s Learning Academy, where she teaches 4th and 3rd-grade students mathematics, science, and social studies. She earned her B.A. degree from Florida International University in 2015, along with a Certificate in Public and Professional Writing. With over a decade of tutoring experience, her passion for knowledge has been evident since childhood. Joliette is dedicated to academic pursuits and strives for excellence in all endeavors. Brian N.

Brian N. is a current teacher at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute and Baccalaureate School (IB Program) in Kitchener, Ontario. He currently teaches grade 9, 10 and 12 math at the school, but has tutored and is comfortable with all Ontario mathematics content (JK- Calculus, IB and beyond!). His qualifications are as follows: Primary, Junior, Intermediate Senior Division Teachable, as well as Intermediate Mathematics and History, as well as Senior qualifications in Music. He is eager to come along side the PAT team and help students.

Iqbal F.

Iqbal graduated in Physics in 2001 and obtained his Master’s degree in Aerospace Science from the University of Toronto in 2015. He taught Physics at High School level for 5 years before migrating to Canada where he worked in the corporate world while doing Physics tutoring.

His main aim is not only to help students reach their academic goals but to enable them in understanding the fascinating world of Physics.

His professionalism, courteous demeanor and motivating skills ensure students find great value working with him over the years. He believes Physics is not hard as long as it is taught in the proper way and with the appropriate support which is exactly what he brings to the table.

In his spare time, Iqbal enjoys playing badminton, practicing guitar and listening to rock music.

 

Maggie B.

Mrs. Maggie B. has been a teacher and school administrator for 19 years and she loves to watch students succeed and grow. She has a bachelor’s degree in Literature from The University of North Florida and a Masters degree from The University of Texas San Antonio in Educational leadership and Curriculum & Instruction. She spent much of her own school days in Europe where she formed a love for traveling and other cultures. That love translated into her classroom when she traveled with her students to numerous countries and showed them the world! In the classroom, she taught high school English, writing, drama and acting. She has been a middle and high school administrator and, one of her favorite things, a coach for teachers as they improve their craft. She is very excited and looks forward to working with your student!

Talfryn is a certified teacher in both the UK and Alberta, boasting over 20 years of experience working with a diverse array of students across various abilities and subjects. Beginning his career with a strong foundation in Science and Math, he quickly diversified into teaching humanities at different academic levels.

His expertise extends to catering to the needs of both typical and atypical (LD) students, allowing him to customize approaches that bolster individual student confidence in their learning journey. Through his role as a learning coach, Talfryn has successfully supported students operating below grade level, adeptly closing learning gaps and fostering academic progress relative to their peers.

His proficiency in executive functioning skills has significantly contributed to alleviating student stress levels. Sandra is a seasoned teacher with over 10 years of experience in education across multiple countries, including South Korea, Australia, Kuwait, and most recently, Qatar where she taught grade two homeroom. With a Masters in Multidisciplinary Studies specialized in Special Needs, a Graduate Diploma of Education, and OCT qualification, Sandra is adept at supporting students ranging from JK to grade 6. Her expertise extends to literacy (reading, writing, phonics), general mathematics, and sciences. Passionate about social-emotional learning, Sandra prioritizes creating a nurturing environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential. With a diverse background working with students of varying academic and social needs, Sandra’s adaptable teaching approach addresses gaps in both academic and social-emotional development, ensuring a holistic learning experience.
