Sandra L.
Sandra is a seasoned teacher with over 10 years of experience in education across multiple countries, including South Korea, Australia, Kuwait, and most recently, Qatar where she taught grade two homeroom. With a Masters in Multidisciplinary Studies specialized in Special Needs, a Graduate Diploma of Education, and OCT qualification, Sandra is adept at supporting students ranging from JK to grade 6. Her expertise extends to literacy (reading, writing, phonics), general mathematics, and sciences. Passionate about social-emotional learning, Sandra prioritizes creating a nurturing environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential. With a diverse background working with students of varying academic and social needs, Sandra’s adaptable teaching approach addresses gaps in both academic and social-emotional development, ensuring a holistic learning experience.
DIANA L.
Diana will be an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) as of April 2024 and she currently holds a transitional OCT. She graduated with an HBSc from UofT, where she double majored in Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences in her Life Sciences program. Upon discovering her true passion to teach and make complex science concepts easier to learn, she decided to complete a Master of Teaching degree at OISE. She has received 15 undergrad scholarships and the Canada Graduate Scholarship during her studies. Within her 4+ years of teaching experience, she has taught Science, English, Physics, and Math to grade levels between 7-12 (inclusive of IB students). Her approach to tutoring includes getting to know the student and their preferred teaching style, hearing about their learning experiences, and discovering what works best for them. Diana’s goal in tutoring is to help students build confidence, so that they can thrive at school even without her. A fun fact about Diana is that she got cancelled on TikTok for pronouncing Toronto with the “T”…. Apparently, you only live in Toronto if you call it “Toronno.”
Aude L.
Aude is currently in her first undergraduate year in the honours physics program at McGill University. She graduated from Champlain Ste-Lawrence CEGEP on the Dean’s list in 2023 with a degree in pure and applied sciences. She was awarded the Governor General’s medal for her high school journey. She has tutored students from kindergarten all the way to CEGEP for over two years in English as well as in French. She is passionate about science, especially regarding space and the early mysteries of our universe. You can often find Aude looking up at the sky, eager to identify constellations and planets in the sky. She also loves art, music and any winter sport.

Elle a gradué du programme des sciences pures et appliquées du CEGEP Champlain Ste-Lawrence sur la liste d’honneurs en 2023. Elle a également reçu la médaille du gouverneur général pour son parcours académique au secondaire. Elle a travaillé comme tuteur depuis plus de deux ans auprès d’élèves d’âge primaire jusqu’au CEGEP en anglais ainsi qu’en français. Elle est passionnée de sciences surtout de sujets traitant de l’espace et des grands mystères des débuts de l’univers. Alina Z.
Alina is a medical student at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry (Western University). She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph with a major in biomedical sciences and minor in neuroscience before completing her Masters of Science at the University of Toronto. Alina has extensive teaching experience during her undergraduate and graduate studies as a graduate teaching assistant. She was a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto for over 3 years, teaching cell and molecular biology, physiology, and human anatomy. Prior to university, Alina tutored middle and high school students in biology, chemistry and math.
Outside of academia, Alina has had unique career experiences working at a management consulting firm and as a real estate agent. She used to be a competitive swimmer and continues her swimming passion during her free time. She loves to paint, travel, and practice yoga. Alina is very passionate about working with students to help them achieve their full potential and prepare them for their own future career goals.
Caillie K.
Caillie has worked as a tutor for about ten years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating from college, she immediately found a passion for tutoring. She recently moved to San Antonio, Texas, and currently works as a Professional Writing Tutor for the Alamo Colleges. She has tutored all ages and grade levels in English, writing, and math (including algebra, geometry, and statistics). Caillie loves building her students’ confidence and watching them succeed in their goals. She loves her cat, Jasper, and enjoys tap dancing and working on jigsaw puzzles in her free time.
Lauren H.
Lauren is a native New Yorker who spent her life steeped in all the art and culture the city has to offer. She is a born educator, lifelong learner, and giant nerd who is obsessed with music, literature, history, technology, and social justice. Lauren spent her formative years dedicated to writing and visual and performing arts, and still had time to get a perfect score on the SAT. She also worked as the Vocal Director and Science Lab Instructor at a camp for gifted and talented children. While studying studio production and composition at the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase she began tutoring students to prepare them for various standardized tests and subjects. Rather than attend law school, Lauren became a full-time tutor, and has been one for over 15 years. Lauren truly loves what she does, and aims for every student to become confident, intellectually curious, and passionate about learning. She believes education is holistic, enthusiasm infectious, and this is what keeps students engaged and excited to pursue their goals as they become better critical thinkers, readers, and problem solvers who are always pushing the boundaries of what is possible. In addition to tutoring and advising, she also teaches a robotics class in which elementary school children build and program their own Lego robots. Lauren’s passions include eating her way across every continent, collecting records, and curling. She has been playing the game, known as chess on ice, for 6 years, is a certified USA Curling instructor, and is also Co-Director of Education at Brooklyn Lakeside Curling Club.
Cristina R.
Cristina is a certified teacher who loves to cook, travel, read, visit museums, and spend time exploring nature with her golden retriever, Oliver. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and certificate in Public Policy from Hunter College. Later, she completed her Master of Arts in Teaching from Richard Gilder Graduate School at the American Museum of Natural History, where she had the privilege of taking courses from renowned scientists and pedagogical experts. She currently works at Central Park East High School where she teaches both Earth Science and AP Environmental Science. Cristina is passionate about educating the whole student; understanding that it’s essential and imperative to truly know students as people. Thus, allowing her to hone their strengths while addressing their weaknesses. Cristina focuses on relating academic content to students’ personal lives and daily experiences to foster a deeper understanding and connection to what they are learning. In addition to being a science teacher, Cristina is also a certified yoga instructor.
Tiffany M.
Tiffany is a passionate OCT certified teacher, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto. She is currently in her final year at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, working towards her Master in Teaching.
Tiffany prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with her students to cultivate an inclusive, caring, and safe learning environment. She tailors her teaching approach to address the unique needs of each student and is committed to challenging them to facilitate their growth and development.
In her free time, you can find Tiffany exploring nature trails with her pup Milo and discovering charming hidden cafes throughout the GTA.
HANNAH R.
Hannah R. recently graduated from University of Toronto with an HBSc in Astronomy & Astrophysics and History & Philosophy of Science. She excelled academically, receiving many scholarships in math and physics in addition to being a Rhodes Scholarship Finalist and graduating with a 4.0 CGPA. During university Hannah gained teaching experience as an intern at Toronto French School working with grade 11 & 12 Theory of Knowledge students, and as a teaching assistant for a university course about the History of Math. She also kept herself busy as the president of the History & Philosophy of Science Undergraduate Society and as an athletic trainer for her college’s dragonboat team. Hannah has always been passionate about education and as she grew older she became more acutely aware of the opportunities afforded to her from her own education. This awareness inspired her to launch an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a charity which mails books to preschool children, to help support early education in her hometown of Saskatoon. Hannah’s passion for education grew deeper throughout her studies as she recognized the necessity of effective science education for a fruitful science-society relationship. She is eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for science with students to help them not only succeed in their courses, but to better understand the world around them. Hannah’s diverse educational background enables her to help students succeed in many subjects. In her free time, Hannah can be found at the gym training for her next powerlifting meet. If she shows up to a tutoring session with a massive backpack, it is probably full of snacks and lifting gear because she is headed to the gym after!
