However, her thirst for knowledge remained unquenched, prompting her to further her education.

This led her to Texas, where she relocated independently in search of professional growth.

Ana is a young professional & educator. She has a combined experience of 10+ years teaching all ages in varying subjects such as French, music, social sciences, and junior level math & sciences. She completed her French Immersion Certificate in 2016 & graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor in Public Affairs & Policy Management in 2021. Throughout her time at Carleton, she worked as an Economics Workshop Facilitator where she was constantly coming up with creative ways to present information to students- catering to all different types of learning styles. Ana is an incredibly skilled communicator & has a love for teaching that is evident in her work. She believes an individualized approach is the key to the success of her students. Growing up in Southern California, Christopher G. had a curiosity of his natural surroundings that led him to pursue an Associate of Science degree in Geology thus fostering his passion for the sciences and paving the way for him to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science at California State University, Fullerton. While attending college Christopher began professionally tutoring other students, and as a result initiated his journey in educating. Since graduating Christopher continues tutoring K-12 students where he actively contributes to improving scientific and mathematical literacy along with reading and writing skills. HANNAH D.
Hannah D. is a dedicated Ontario Certified Teacher with a passion for education and a strong background in coaching and mentoring children of all ages. In April of 2023, she proudly graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University, completing her Bachelor of Education program with qualifications in the Junior/Intermediate Division. As of June 2023, she earned her Ontario teaching certification, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in her educational journey.
Hannah’s commitment to fostering a love for learning is exemplified by her diverse teaching experience, which includes teaching grades 3/4 and 4/5 within the French Immersion (English) program in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board from April to June 2023. With two years of classroom experience teaching grades 5-8 during her placements and four-years as an academic tutor, Hannah brings an energetic and creative approach to teaching that makes learning an enjoyable adventure for her students. Beyond the classroom, she has also worked to deliver immersive educational experiences to middle school students, connecting them with non-profits and social enterprises in Quebec City, Montreal, and Ottawa to support vital social justice initiatives. Simran K.
Simran obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University where he double majored in Biology and Psychology Neuroscience Behaviour. He was awarded the Kathy Steele Teaching Assistant (TA) of the Year Award for his work as an Introductory Psychology TA. He was also an undergraduate tutor (Calculus, Neuroscience), a Provost Honour Roll Medal recipient, and is a published Educational Psychology Researcher.
With various experiences supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged populations (e.g., as a crisis hotline responder), he can elucidate and compassionately support the various learning and emotional needs of students. Teaching focuses include Biology 11-12, Chemistry 11-12, Physics 11-12, Science 9-12, Math 9-12, English 9-10. Simran enjoys exercising, board games, and music.
Jacob M.
Jacob is an Engineering Chemistry graduate from Queen’s University with 5 years of teaching experience accumulated as a teaching assistant and private tutor for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University. He also has 2 years of high school teaching experience as he served as a teaching assistant for enriched intermediate English and Math classes at CHELP, an extracurricular academic enrichment program.

Jayneel P. is a graduate in Astrophysics and Mathematics from the University of Calgary. Currently he is helping research before his Masters in Physics. Katy S. has been sharing her love of science and nature for 30 years with students of all ages. She recently moved to Calvert County from Vancouver, Washington where she taught at Ridgefield High School. Mrs. S has expertise in teaching and tutoring students in all areas of science and math all across the country. She has held highly qualified teaching licenses in Iowa, Colorado, Alaska, Wyoming, Washington and now, Maryland! Mrs. S is committed to accompanying her husband on his many job moves working for the United States Department of Agriculture. Although most of her teaching positions have been at the secondary level, she has experience teaching environmental education to preschool and elementary students early in her career as a naturalist. Mrs. S wants to provide researched-based instructional techniques that help students succeed in all content areas. Mrs. S has a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University and a Masters of Arts Teaching degree in Science Education from the University of Iowa. Her education and training to become a science teacher preceded the addition of children to her family. She and her husband have raised two successful and educated young women. Both Madelyn (23) and Isabelle (18) are pursuing science careers. Madelyn is a graduate of Western Washington University and a pathology assistant at a lab in Bellingham, Washington. Isabelle is in her first year at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis planning to major in Physics. Upon reflection of the most effective parenting skills to help her daughters be high achievers; Mrs. S identified top recommendations: reading books together EVERYDAY from infancy through middle school years, and always asking what her daughters learned from mistakes.
