KYLE B.

Kyle is an Ontario Certified Teacher. He has lived in Toronto for his whole life, proudly completing his Bachelors of Kinesiology and Masters of Teaching degrees at the University of Toronto. Kyle has worked with both the TDSB and YRDSB and is most experienced teaching students from grade 1 through 8. Kyle has a wealth of experience teaching both in person and online, where his goal is always to help students develop a passion for learning by supporting the individual needs of all students. Kyle believes strongly that developing strong learning skills is a core component of knowledge acquisition and focuses on actively teaching and practicing these skills to help students master subject material. When he is not teaching, Kyle loves to be active. He is a competitive athlete and an avid fan of many sports. He loves staying active by working as a personal trainer and spending time outdoors, canoeing, hiking and camping. Kyle also loves to learn new things and is constantly reading, watching and experimenting with new hobbies.

VICKI T.

Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (First Class Hons) from the University of Calgary and now is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences. She has teaching experience with all age groups and has taught up to the undergraduate level. She has recently completed her graduate student certification in University Learning and Teaching at the University of Calgary.

Her teaching philosophy aims to motivate students to feel confident in their own learning capabilities and driven to pursue their academic interests outside of the classroom.

Kameel K.

Kameel is your one-stop shop for tutoring in math, science, English, French, and humanities for grades K through 11! With 4 years of tutoring experience, he has developed engaging methods to help students with different learning styles reach their full potential in the classroom. Kameel completed his undergraduate degree at McGill University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in immunology at the University of Toronto. His unique perspective may be especially useful to students with interests in research or medicine. Kameel spends his spare time volunteering for seniors and writing children’s stories encouraging compassion and understanding regarding certain medical conditions. Kameel also enjoys working on his basketball skills (go raptors), playing Pokémon Go with his nephew, and going camping close to his hometown in Montreal with his cat, Cleo.

Hilmi M.

Hilmi is a graduate from McMaster university’s Biotechnology program. During his studies he was a volunteer as a representative of the university to introduce new students to the campus and help them through a mentorship program. The program involved tutoring 1st and 2nd year students to help them succeed in their courses. Calculus, intro to programming, statistics, physics, chemistry and biology were among the courses that he tutored.

Outside of education, Hilmi is an avid Rock climber, computer builder, comic movie buff, Disney fan, and loves to camp.

Meriem T.

Meriem is an enthusiastic and hardworking teacher with strong interpersonal communication skills. She is currently a student in the primary/junior division of the French Bachelor of Teaching program at the University of Ottawa.

Meriem has been a French tutor to both children and adults of various levels. She additionally has in-class experience teaching the French, mathematics and science curricula, and has taught for two years at a virtual university

In addition to her teaching experience, Meriem has a strong background in the sciences: she is a Biology Engineer and holds two master’s degrees in Drug Development and Quality Management.

Meriem’s teaching style is primarily centered on class engagement. She adapts her teaching style to cater for everyone and makes the material as interesting as possible. Meriem has an approachable and inclusive style of teaching that is flexible enough to cater for a diverse range of learning styles, needs and requirements. She is aware that establishing a positive rapport with students can enhance their learning process.

 

Tessa N.

Originally from Vancouver, Tessa came to Toronto to pursue studies in physics and mathematics at the University of Toronto. Now in the second last year of her degree, she is passionate about sharing the joys of scientific learning with students of all ages. With 5 years of private tutoring experience in her pocket, Tessa is dedicated to providing her students with high quality support through the use of personalized learning plans, stimulating regimens, and focus on strong foundations. Tessa has tutored high school students in mathematics, physics, English, and French, covering mathematics and physics into the university level. When she is not pouring over her physics homework, Tessa can be found going for long walks with her golden retriever and contemplating the philosophical implications of quantum field theory. Having worked as a lead instructor at PACE Summer Camps and a cycling teacher at Pedalheads in Vancouver, BC, Tessa has ample experience working with children aged 8-17 and hopes to inspire each student to unlock their potential and achieve success. Susan C.

Susan is an Ontario certified math and physics teacher. She had been an electrical engineer, a statistical consultant and a business analyst before pursuing her master of teaching degree at OISE. She has taught grade 7-grade 12 academic math and grades 11 and 12 physics. She also has intensive experience with AP and IB courses.

Susan is sincerely dedicated to students’ success and believes everyone can succeed. She is attentive to students’ needs and learning style and always plans her lessons accordingly. She makes every effort to inspire students and prepare them for their next stage of life.

JASON W.

Jason holds a master’s degree in Adolescent Education from Mercy College as well as a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Drew University. He is currently a Chemistry teacher at Walter Panas High School, teaching both the Honors and Regents levels. Jason also has experience teaching a variety of science class including Living Environment, AP Biology, Ecology and Anatomy and Physiology. Jason dedicates himself to providing his students with comprehensive instruction that fosters scientific discovery as well as improving critical thinking skills. Jason has tutored students in biology, chemistry, AP Biology, AP Chemistry and even physics. He prides himself on helping students understand the difficult subject matter and preparing them for assessments.

 

DANIEL R.

Daniel Riseman, Ed.D. is a New York State certified teacher (Grades 7-12) in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Social Studies. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan. He has an M.Ed., an Ed.M. in Mathematics, and an Advanced Certificate in Special Education. He recently received his doctorate in Neuroeducation from Johns Hopkins University.

For the past 25 years, Daniel has provided in-home, subject-based tutoring. He also customizes lessons to prepare students for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, TACHS, GRE, and GMAT. Daniel helps families with every aspect of private secondary school admissions.

As a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, Daniel assists students with every step of the college admissions process. CODY F.

Cody is a dedicated and passionate educator committed to fostering student success and development. A graduate of the University of Toronto and OISE, he specializes in mathematics, chemistry, and physics. With over eight years of diverse teaching experience, Cody has worked in various educational settings, including as a swim instructor, university teaching assistant, and classroom teacher. His teaching journey has taken him across multiple countries, allowing him to adapt to different curriculum structures and tailor his approach to students with diverse learning styles and needs.
