DOAA M.

Doaa is an accomplished educator holding a PhD in biomedical engineering with extensive teaching experience. Specializing in mathematics and sciences, she has connected with a diverse range of learners, adapting to varied educational contexts across Ontario and throughout Canada. Her tutoring has helped many students gain admission to highly ranked universities and excel in entrance exams for specialized programs. Additionally, she has expertise in university courses, exam preparation, as well as IB and AP tutoring. Passionate about photography, Doaa has contributed to art exhibitions. Having lived on five continents and speaking English, French, and Arabic, she has had the rare opportunity to become a compelling storyteller through both words and pictures.

RAHMI C.

Rahmi C. holds a Master of Science in Environmental Applied Science and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, both from Toronto Metropolitan University. Over the past three years, he’s taught more than 15 university courses, with an emphasis on subjects like first-year chemistry, biology, physics, and calculus, as well as lab-based and senior-level biomedical sciences courses. Throughout his time as a teaching assistant, Rahmi also supported exam preparation and proctoring, giving him a deep understanding of how to help students succeed at every level.

In addition to his university experience, Rahmi has tutored students from Grades 2 to 8, focusing on small group or one-on-one settings to give each student the attention they deserve. He regularly visited students’ schools, reviewed assignments in advance, and worked directly with their teachers to better understand their strengths and areas for improvement. His goal is always to build confidence, not just comprehension.

Outside of academics, Rahmi runs an international export business, which has sharpened his communication and problem-solving skills. He brings that same attention to detail and relationship-building to his tutoring style.

When he’s not working, Rahmi enjoys volleyball, gaming, and spending time with his two cats, Machu and Pichu — named after his bucket-list destination, Machu Picchu.

Steven G.

Steven G. is a dynamic educator and data analyst with over 12 years of experience helping students and professionals master complex subjects through clear, structured, and results-driven instruction. With a background that bridges technical precision and educational insight, Steven specializes in high school and college-level math, science, and standardized test preparation, including the SAT, and AP exams.

A former high school valedictorian, National Merit Scholar, and AP test top-scorer, Steven knows firsthand what it takes to excel academically. His teaching approach is analytical, encouraging, and adaptable, equipping students not just with content knowledge, but with the confidence and strategic thinking needed to succeed in high-pressure academic environments.

Steven has tutored learners in algebra, geometry, precalculus, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and college-level composition, as well as coached professionals in data tools like Python, Excel, and Tableau. He understands how to meet students where they are, break down difficult concepts, and turn uncertainty into clarity.

As co-owner of Prep Academy Tutors North Austin, Steven is also deeply committed to creating a learning environment that supports families holistically. He believes that when students feel respected, challenged, and supported, they rise to meet the expectations set before them.

Outside of tutoring, Steven is an avid reader, martial arts instructor, and father of twins. Whether he’s helping a student improve their test scores or guiding them through the logic of a tricky math problem, his goal is the same: to help learners unlock their potential and carry that confidence forward in every area of life.

Thiago E.

Thiago E. is a Miami-based tutor with expertise in mathematics, science, and music. He speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, along with a few other languages due to growing up in an international household. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology—graduating with Highest Honors—and will complete his Master’s in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University & Research, ranked the world’s most sustainable university, at the end of this year. His teaching experience spans middle school to college with a range including working as a study-abroad instructor in France, and private viola teacher in Miami. Outside the classroom, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and with orchestras worldwide. He now enjoys creating music for fun! Thiago combines deep subject knowledge, international experience, and a proven teaching record to help students excel in STEM and music.

Kamrun N.

Kamrun grew up in Ottawa before moving to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto, where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Biology. Shortly after graduating, she was offered a teaching position at a private school, sparking her passion for education. With over seven years of experience teaching Grades 3–8 in private schools across Toronto, she has a strong background in the Ontario curriculum. In addition to classroom teaching, Kamrun has provided one-on-one tutoring both in school and after school, helping students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and reach their academic goals. Kamrun’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that students should grow not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and mentally. She creates interactive, engaging lessons that foster curiosity and joy in learning, while tailoring her teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style. Her approachable, positive nature helps students feel comfortable and confident, and her classrooms are known for being both fun and effective. Kamrun is currently a Master of Teaching candidate at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), specializing in General Science for Junior and Intermediate grades. She also holds a CELTA certification and has taught international students in the University of Toronto’s Summer Youth Program, further broadening her experience with diverse learners from around the world. Franco L-B

A specialist in physics education, Franco holds a Master’s degree in Physics Education from Concordia University (CGPA 4.15/4.30) and an Honours B.Sc. in Physics with a Minor in Computer Science from McGill University (CGPA 3.99/4.00). He has over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring science, physics, and mathematics to high school and CEGEP students in both English and French.

From 2020 to 2025, Franco taught physics and mathematics in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Japan. He developed and delivered engaging lessons grounded in research-based pedagogy, guided numerous student research projects, and led interdisciplinary science initiatives. His students consistently achieved results above the IB world average, and he received his school’s Top Teacher Award in 2023.

Franco’s expertise is reinforced by extensive professional development in physics and mathematics education, including training in equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM and a teaching mini-certificate from SALTISE on pedagogical design and active learning strategies. His Master’s research on innovative physics laboratory instruction has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.

Fluent in English and proficient in French and Japanese, Franco combines active learning techniques with structured practice to help students strengthen problem-solving skills, deepen conceptual understanding, and develop a lasting appreciation for science, mathematics, programming, and the Japanese language.

Seth B.

Seth recently completed his Master of Public Policy degree from McGill University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. With a strong foundation in both STEM and the social sciences, he brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his teaching.

His approach to learning is inspired by his motivation to connect theory and learning from the classroom to real-world problems and situations to make learning both engaging and relevant. Seth is comfortable teaching elementary and high-school subjects with particular expertise in chemistry, physics, mathematics, social studies, and the general sciences.

His teaching philosophy focuses on fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment where students can learn to take initiative, think critically, and develop a genuine pride in their learning. He hopes to equip students with the proper skills to both excel academically and prepare for success beyond the classroom.

Elyssa N.

Elyssa has a Bachelor degree in English from UofG, and her Bachelor of Education from Laurier. Elyssa has been tutoring 1:1 for about 5 years, and she started tutoring at Oxford Learning. Elyssa also became the Education Coordinator at Oxford in Woodstock. She can confidently tutor students in reading, writing, and mathematics up to Gr. 10.

Daniella F.

Daniella grew up in Pennsylvania and obtained her Psychology Degree at Boston College focusing on Child Cognitive research. She later gained her medical degree at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NYC and is now a dedicated neurology resident continuing her passion for understanding the brain. Her research experience at the Boston College Infant and Child Cognition Lab, allowed her to investigate how children develop their understanding of math through gesture and eye-tracking studies. She also contributed to the creation of “Parkopolis,” a life-size STEM board game designed to promote STEM learning and parent-child engagement in underserved communities, developed at Temple University’s Infant and Child Lab. Daniella’s work reflects her deep commitment to fostering curiosity and confidence in young learners, and she is driven by a genuine love for helping children grow, develop, and become the next generation of thinkers and innovators.

KIAYANA B.

Kiayana is a certified teacher in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Education with minors in Social Studies and History. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 6, and has also worked as a Diverse Learning Teacher. Her background includes working as a Preschool Teacher, where she focused on fine motor development, letter formation, and early phonics skills. In addition to her classroom teaching, Kiayana has worked as a Behavioural Aide supporting a student with Autism and ADHD. Through this role, she gained experience in social-emotional learning, functional language development, and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Kiayana is especially passionate about literacy. She has worked as a Reading Instructor for two years and has supported a wide range of learners, including those with complex needs, to build confidence and skills in reading. She is patient, flexible, and committed to fostering a growth mindset. Kiayana values creating fun, engaging learning environments and building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with her students to help them grow both academically and personally.
