SIMON H.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary, a Master degree of Physics, and a Bachelor Degree of Physics both from the University of Lethbridge. While in university he taught first year Physics classes and labs as an academic assistant which made him appreciate teaching.
As a certified teacher by the province of Alberta, he has taught elementary, junior high school, and senior high school Math and Science. His direct tutoring experience comes from working casually one-on-one with kids from his local community.
Simon believes that each student is unique. He views his tutoring as a supportive relationship between tutor and student, and understands the importance of such support to any student’s progress.
He also enjoys, cycling, Manga drawing, and Origami. On the weekends you can usually find him spending his time with friends and family.
Maxx F.
ENG: Maxx recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Concordia University, having completed three internships throughout. His participation as a karate instructor and experience tutoring a range of ages has helped structure his knack for encouraging effective learning techniques in students, tailored to their needs.
Maxx finds great importance in meeting students at their level, and helping them develop healthy study habits outside of tutoring sessions. He recognizes the value of patience and engagement in a classroom setting, and sees to it that a student’s concerns in matters of studies, stress and time management are addressed.
In addition to academics, Maxx is highly interested in topics like the process of game development, web programming/UX, snowboarding and cooking!
FR: Maxx a récemment obtenu son baccalauréat en génie logiciel de l’Université Concordia, tout en effectuant trois stages dans le processus. Sa participation en tant qu’instructeur de karaté ainsi que son expérience comme tuteur pour une gamme d’âges ont contribué à structurer son talent pour encourager des techniques d’apprentissage efficaces chez les étudiants, adaptées à leurs besoins.
Maxx attache une grande importance au fait de rencontrer les élèves à leur niveau et de les aider à développer de bonnes habitudes d’étude en dehors des séances de tutorat. Il reconnaît la valeur de la patience et de l’engagement dans une salle de classe, et veille à ce que les préoccupations des étudiants en matière d’études, de stress et de gestion du temps soient prises en compte.
Outre les études, Maxx s’intéresse beaucoup à des sujets tels que le processus de développement de jeux, la programmation web/UX, le snowboard et la cuisine!

Esther holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and has completed two years of study in Early Childhood Education. With a strong academic foundation and extensive hands-on experience, Esther has dedicated countless hours to volunteering and working with children of diverse ages and backgrounds. Her genuine passion for nurturing young minds is evident in her warm approach and commitment to helping each student reach their fullest potential.
Esther’s expertise spans creating engaging learning environments, supporting individual learning styles, and building the confidence students need to thrive academically and personally. Her background in both early childhood and elementary education ensures she brings a deep understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies to every tutoring session.
Madeleine A.
Madeleine is a graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and environment. Although biology, math, and chemistry are her main areas of interest, she is passionate about all branches of science. Over the past two years, she has conducted research in the McGill Biology Department and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Dean’s Multidisciplinary Research Award. In addition to her research, Madeleine has taught coding to graduate students through McGill’s Geography Department. On top of her academic accomplishments, Madeleine is extremely well-organized and dedicated to assisting students in creating successful long-term organizational skills. She also brings valuable experience with the university application process and, as the former president of a McGill student club, is well-equipped to support students planning for higher education. Madeleine’s interests include volleyball, guitar, and sharks. Overall, Madeleine can provide well-rounded, interesting lessons that position students for long-term success because of her passion for math and science, as well as her excellent organizational abilities.
Marsha W.
Marsha is a dedicated and certified veteran elementary school educator with over two decades of service in the field of education. Born and raised in New York, she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology with a concentration in Elementary and Special Education and obtained a Masters of Science in Elementary Education.
Passionate about student growth and academic excellence, she has taught a diverse range of learners and grade levels, consistently fostering inclusive, engaging, and high-achieving learning environments. Known for her kind nature, ensuring engaging interactive hands-on learning experiences, and commitment to lifelong learning, Marsha excels at fostering both academic growth and social-emotional development in young learners.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and watching sporting events.
Patricia T.
Patricia Tibesar graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Environmental Science and a minor in English Literature. She grew up in Caldwell, Idaho, and moved to Maine to complete her degree, though she has also lived in Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica. At Colby College, Patricia worked closely with the Center for Teaching and Learning. As a learning assistant, Patricia worked with students to engage them with their learning and encourage asking questions, and she worked with professors and staff to rework course designs to improve student learning. She enjoys tutoring and helping students understand their learning because of the reward of a student feeling their own confidence grow. In her free time, Patricia loves reading, watching movies and reviewing them on Letterboxd, and traveling, both domestically and internationally.

Dr. Hannah P.
Dr. Hannah P. has 9 years of post-secondary teaching experience as both a teaching assistant and adjunct professor at Drexel University. She has taught various chemistry courses including General Chemistry, Quantitative Analysis, and Analytical Instrumentation Analysis.
Prior to completing her Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, she obtained a Master’s degree in Secondary Education, during which she partook in multiple classroom observations and completed a semester of student teaching. Through the student teaching experience she was able to take on the full responsibilities of the classroom, teaching both Chemistry and Earth Science.
Her teaching philosophy is based on presenting material from three different approaches; visual, audio, and hands-on learning styles. Through the understanding that everyone learns differently, she finds it important that students discover how they learn and are able to apply that to every aspect of their education.
Anthony M.
