MIA B.
Mia holds a Bachelor of Health Science with a major in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Calgary and is currently pursuing her Master of Teaching, specializing in Grade 7-12 science. Mia has worked as an educational assistant and tutor, supporting students across subjects including math, physics, chemistry, biology, and social studies, bringing both subject expertise and a compassionate approach to her work. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in building genuine relationships and creating inclusive spaces where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with confidence. Her goal is to not only improve academic performance, but to spark curiosity and make learning a fun and enjoyable experience!
Mia’s passion for teaching and mentorship extends beyond the classroom: she has served as a youth leader at her church, high school track and field coach, and residence life leader.
In her free time, you can find Mia playing beach volleyball, hiking in the mountains, or singing karaoke at Korean BBQ with her friends!
Tamara O.
Mrs. Tamara is a seasoned K–12 teacher based in North County San Diego, with a focus on Language Arts, Reading and Writing, as well as Spanish and German. She has experience teaching AP English and History, and her students have successfully earned college credits through her instruction. Before shifting to one-on-one and small group tutoring, she taught 5th grade and Kindergarten at a private school in San Diego.
Tamara is also a homeschool teacher and has led small group classes with a creative and student-centered approach. She designs engaging lessons that incorporate her students’ interests, helping them build both skills and confidence. In addition to academic support, she has successfully worked with students on executive functioning, motivation, Dyslexia, and ADD/ADHD.
Tiffany P.
Tiffany P. graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College) in 1998 and from LSU Law Center (Top 10%) in 2001. After approximately nineteen years of work in the legal field, Tiffany began pursuing her passions for education and working with young people, first by substituting and working as a middle school English Language Arts Interventionist and then as a Sixth Grade English Language Arts Instructor. Tiffany effectively uses her years of research and writing experience to instruct students regarding literary analysis, grammar essentials, and various forms of writing (ranging from research essays, short answer responses, fictional writing, and poetry to persuasive speeches, among other texts). With her background in the law and her college minor in history, she is also well-equipped to assist students with analytical thinking and problem-solving, as well as social studies and related subjects. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching sporting events (particularly the LSU Tigers), and traveling.
Aidan M.
Aidan M. is a passionate educator with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he focused on Data Analytics and Cloud Networking. He has over two years of experience tutoring math at a private institution and currently teaches all levels of math through Pre-Calculus, as well as computer science, physics, and English. Known for his clear and structured teaching style, Aidan emphasizes a foundational approach: identifying gaps in understanding and guiding students step by step until they feel confident tackling challenges independently. His greatest joy comes from watching students turn confusion into clarity and self-doubt into confidence. Outside the classroom, Aidan is a jazz enthusiast who plays saxophone and piano, enjoys programming to solve real-life problems, and is always learning something new, often while singing along to his favorite songs.
Ginneh D.
Ginneh is a dedicated educator with a passion for helping students grow into confident, skilled learners. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, she has also completed 30 additional education credits through the University of San Diego’s Extended Studies program. Over the past four years, Ginneh has taught 4th and 5th grade students in English Language Arts, Writing, and Social Studies, while also tutoring learners from 1st through 12th grade in both math and ELA. She specializes in writing and reading comprehension and thoroughly enjoys making learning fun by using a variety of strategies to help students truly understand what they’re learning. Her classroom results reflect her commitment—over 90% of her students have achieved proficiency on the PSSA. Ginneh believes strong foundational skills are the key to long-term academic success. When she’s not teaching, you can find her coaching middle school basketball or planning her next travel adventure— sometimes while also binge-watching a new show and pretending she’s not already three episodes past bedtime.

She specializes in working with students with special needs, English language learners, and students who are struggling academically. With a background in both general and special education settings, and a deep commitment to patience, creativity, and clear communication, Judy is excited to partner with families and schools to make learning a successful and joyful journey. Outside of education, she nurtures her own love of learning and creativity through music, and she actively sings in a choir.
GRACE N.
Grace is currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Calgary. She first gained teaching experience working as a children’s Karate teacher. As an instructor, Grace helped children develop confidence and focus, simultaneously learning how to keep things fun while managing high-energy personalities and difficult learning situations. Additionally, Grace built upon her experiences by tutoring high school students through peer tutoring programs. This is where she was able to strengthen her abilities in simplifying complex topics while being empathetic and encouraging. Through both her experience as a tutor, and as a student herself, Grace has learned many strategies to work with different learning styles and achieve success.
Tutoring is very meaningful to Grace, as she loves to help others learn and grow. Though currently enrolled in engineering, Grace’s love for teaching has inspired her to pursue an education degree once completing her current studies. When not busy with school, Grace likes to spend her time drawing and helping out in her community! Whether it’s helping someone solve a tricky math problem or encouraging a student to reach their full potential, Grace finds true joy in supporting others in their educational journeys!

Julie has a Bachelor of Education degree from Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. She completed the Professional Development Program at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. Julie has experience working as an ESL Tutor, an Academic Tutor and as an Elementary Classroom Teacher from Kindergarten to grade 7. She has experience tutoring students both in-person and online. Julie enjoys cooking, baking, singing and walking in natural settings with family and friends.
