PeggyAnne is a New Jersey state-certified educator and Learning Consultant with a Master of Arts in Special Education from Caldwell University, holding dual certifications as a Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant (LDTC) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD). She brings experience working with students from preschool through college, specializing in whole-student academic support — reviewing grades, identifying strengths, and developing targeted strategies to address learning challenges through study skills coaching and homework assistance.
PeggyAnne works across all subject areas, designing activity-based learning experiences tailored to each student’s individual academic goals. She regularly conducts student interviews to refine her Executive Functioning approaches, ensuring that her methods align with each student’s specific classroom expectations and teacher standards.

Carly K.
Carly graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Political Science and Educational Studies and Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s in Education. She holds credentials in foundational mathematics in California and Washington DC, where she began her teaching career before moving to San Diego. She also holds a DC credential in Special Education, and has experience providing special education services in inclusion, co-taught, and intervention/support classes.
Carly loves working with students to improve their confidence in math, strengthen their foundational skills, and connect math to real world situations that interest them. Her approach to teaching math uses what students DO know and understand to bridge the gaps in content they are struggling with. In her free time, she can be found baking sourdough, practicing yoga, or at the beach or farmer’s market.
MARY C.
With over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I am a dedicated educator committed to helping students succeed and gain confidence in their abilities. I hold an Honours BA in English and am qualified to teach Junior, Intermediate, and Senior grades, with specialties in English and Visual Arts. I am also certified in Special Education and librarianship, which has strengthened my ability to support diverse learners and teach effective research and study skills. I strive to create a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs.
Cynthia S.
Cynthia is a Certified Academic Language Therapist who works with students in grades 1–9, providing dyslexia therapy and individualized reading instruction. Her teaching journey began at Louisiana Key Academy Northshore, where she spent two years teaching Social Studies Composition to 3rd graders and Structured Language Arts to 3rd and 5th graders.
Her commitment to literacy is deeply personal. When her child was diagnosed with dyslexia, Cynthia, who also has dyslexia, immersed herself in learning everything she could about effective reading instruction. This led her to pursue IMSLEC‑accredited training and ultimately earn her CALT certification through ALTA in February 2026.
Cynthia is also an author. Her poetry collection, Present Peace, explores her connection to nature and her search for her authentic voice. She also writes Mom poetry and is using her CALT certification to write decodable readers for older students.
Before becoming an educator, Cynthia built a successful career in accounting, earning her CPA license and working for Deloitte & Touche, LLP and PoolCorp. She holds an M.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University and a B.B.A. in Accounting with a psychology concentration from Millsaps College.
Outside of working with students, she enjoys time with her family and is currently developing a middle‑grade werewolf series using graphic organizers.
CHERYL P.
Cheryl P. is an Ontario College of Teachers member in good standing with more than 25 years of experience supporting students, families, and educators within the public education system. She holds a Diploma in Education from Queen’s University and a Special Education Specialist qualification from York University. Cheryl also holds certifications in VTRA (Violent Threat Risk Assessment), Mental Health First Aid, and Suicide First Aid.
Throughout her career, Cheryl served the in the public secondary education system as a classroom teacher, Special Education Specialist, and Department Head of Special Education / Inclusive Services for 11 years.
Cheryl has extensive experience supporting students with learning disabilities, ADHD, ASD, mental health challenges, behavioural needs, and complex learning profiles. She collaborated closely with administrators, guidance teams, psychologists, CYWs, social workers, and community agencies to develop individualized strategies that supported student success and well-being.

TheCarey L.
TheCarey is an experienced English educator and instructional leader with a proven track record of helping students strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. He currently teaches 9th Grade English at IDEA Public Schools in San Antonio, where he helps students build strong reading comprehension, literary analysis, and writing skills while preparing them for STAAR End-of-Course exams. Since stepping into his current classroom mid-year, his students have already shown strong academic growth, including impressive gains on interim STAAR assessments.
Prior to returning to the classroom, TheCarey served in multiple school leadership roles, including Assistant Principal and Regional ELA Content Coach, where he supported teachers across multiple campuses, improved instructional systems, and helped raise student achievement. Earlier in his career, he taught in Harlem and the Bronx, where he built a reputation for making English Language Arts engaging, culturally relevant, and meaningful for students. His students have earned national recognition, including winning Best High School Podcast and Best East Coast Podcast through the StudySync curriculum.
TheCarey holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and has extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and students on the autism spectrum. He specializes in English Language Arts, writing, college essay support, ACT preparation, STAAR and Regents test prep, social studies, technical writing, and helping students develop stronger test-taking and study skills.
He also brings a unique creative perspective to tutoring through his dual bachelor’s degrees in Film & Video and Africana Studies, often helping students connect literature, writing, and history to real-world issues, media, and storytelling in ways that make learning more engaging.
Families appreciate TheCarey’s ability to challenge students academically while building their confidence and making learning feel relevant and enjoyable. His goal is to help students become stronger readers, writers, and thinkers both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of education, TheCarey enjoys spending time with his wife and infant daughter, exploring San Antonio’s parks and restaurants, watching films, and cheering on his hometown Chicago sports teams.
James O.
James is a veteran educator with 25 years of experience in the High School English Language Arts classroom, where he has taught every grade and ability level. While his formal teaching background is rooted in ELA, he is a versatile scholar capable of tutoring across the broader Humanities, including History, Government, Social Studies, and Philosophy. A double alumnus of Quinnipiac University, James holds both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Education, and he furthered his expertise by earning a Sixth-Year Degree from the University of New England. From guiding honors students through complex literary analysis to helping reluctant learners find their voice, James has a proven track record of making even the most daunting subjects accessible and engaging. He has spent over two decades mastering a wide variety of curricula and has extensive experience with standardized test prep and the high-stakes art of the college essay. James believes that tutoring is most effective when it fosters true student agency and confidence, and he treats every session as a partnership tailored to each student’s unique learning style. When he isn’t helping students unpack the complexities of a well-crafted thesis statement, James can almost certainly be found on the water. Jenifer L.
Jenifer is a 25 year veteran of the CT public school system. A former speech and language pathologist, she acquired a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. From there, she dove into a rewarding career in the support of students with disabilities and their families, working tirelessly to achieve improved learning outcomes both in academics and speech and language. Working closely with special education teams, classroom teachers (often in a collaborative and coteaching format) and families, she supported student’s acquisition of reading, comprehension, phonological and phonemic awareness, vocabulary and concept knowledge, written language, math skills and social skills. During the last 10 years of her career in public school, she also worked with students with more complex diagnoses, helping to acquire daily living skills, improve behavior, and acquire core communication skills, often through the use of augmentative and assistive communication tools. Additionally, Jenifer is experienced in supporting students with college essay writing and identifying and implementing strategies for improved executive functioning. She values the collaborative effort between families, schools, and herself. She prides herself on implementing lessons in a student centered and fun atmosphere that is engaging, that increases focus and attention, and activates learning. Dedicated to families and students with learning challenges, she continues her work by supporting their needs through tutoring, coaching families and advocating for educational resources and plans that will lead to improved learning and stronger academic achievements.
Patricia P.
Patricia is an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certified educator with Additional Qualifications in Mathematics, Assessment and Evaluation, and Special Education. She has graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Cultural Studies and a Masters of Teaching. With six years of classroom experience across Kindergarten to Grade 8, Pat has developed a strong, adaptable teaching practice rooted in meeting the diverse needs of all learners. For the past four years, Pat has taught Grade 8, supporting students through an important year of transition.
Patricia approaches teaching with patience, empathy, and consistency, while also maintaining high expectations and encouraging students to strive for their full potential. Patricia is committed to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
In addition to classroom teaching, Patricia brings over 11 years of experience working with children and youth with multiple exceptionalities with the City of Toronto. This has strengthened her ability to differentiate instruction and build strong relationships with students.
Bryanna R.
Bryanna is an educator with a strong background in elementary and special education. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Salve Regina University. After graduating, she worked as a K–3 special education teacher, where she supported young learners in developing foundational academic and learning skills.
Bryanna is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Emerson College, where she continues to specialize in working with elementary-aged students. Her combined training in education and speech-language development allows her to support students in areas such as reading, writing, language, and overall communication. She is passionate about helping children build confidence in their academic abilities while developing strong literacy skills.
Bryanna believes that building meaningful connections with students is essential for learning and progress. She strives to create a supportive, engaging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their successes.
Outside of teaching and tutoring, Bryanna enjoys spending time near the beach and staying active. Her newest obsession is OrangeTheory, where she enjoys challenging workouts and pretending she loves the treadmill.
