Beverlyn J.
Beverlyne J. is a mathematics and chemistry educator from Kenya.
As a child, Beverlyne had a strong interest in problem-solving and science, which led her to study higher math and chemistry and pursue a career in teaching and research.
She received her B.Ed. in Mathematics and Chemistry and her MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nairobi, in Kenya. She did her postgraduate studies at Uppsala University in Sweden.
She has taught math and chemistry at several different levels: lecturing at the University of Nairobi, serving as the head of the Mathematics Department at the Jaffery Academy (Nairobi), and working as a lecturer/tutor for private clients.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing badminton, conducting research in mathematical modeling, and mentoring young scholars in STEM.
Her goal is to make mathematics meaningful and accessible, and help students build the confidence and critical-thinking skills that apply outside the classroom.
TOM G.
Tom G. has been working as a tutor for STEM classes and standardized tests for over eleven years. At Northwestern University, he completed a BS/MS program in mechanical engineering, and a short-term job in tutoring after graduation turned into a career. He is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and invigorated by the moments when those goals can be elevated.
Marah A-D.
ENG:
Marah is a McGill University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and eight years of tutoring experience. She offers support in mathematics and science subjects, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, and general Science, helping students strengthen their understanding and improve performance.
Her tutoring career began at John Abbott College where professors recognized her academic excellence and recommended her to assist other students. She was later officially hired by the college to tutor math, chemistry, and physics, gaining two years of daily hands-on experience with students. Since then, she has continued tutoring independently, working with learners across different academic levels and consistently receiving very positive feedback.
Marah is known for her clarity, patience, and ability to explain difficult concepts in simple, practical ways. She tailors her teaching to each student’s learning style and uses multiple approaches to ensure every topic is fully understood. She also shares effective study techniques, memorization tools, and problem-solving strategies that not only improve grades but also build confidence and independence.
Passionate about education, Marah believes learning should be both motivating and rewarding. She creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop stronger study habits, and reach their academic goals. Marah is committed to creating tailored work plans that maximize productivity and understanding, helping every student reach their potential.

FR:
Sofia Z.
ENG : Sofia earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physics with the French Immersion Program (2025) at the University of Ottawa. Bilingual in both French and English. She has worked in laboratories specialized in biophysics and photonics at the university. In her theoretical classes she excelled in many of her mathematics courses (Calculus, Linear Algebra) and her physics courses (Theoretical Physics, Mechanics, Optics, Quantum Mechanics, Biophysics, Astrophysics, and more).
Experienced in tutoring, teaching, and leading a few workshops in science. She hopes she becomes a high school physics teacher that can inspire young minds to explore STEM. Beyond the workplace, Sofia has many different hobbies including hiking, camping, swimming, reading, and skiing !
