Jordan G.
Jordan is certified through the Texas Education Agency in Mathematics, grade levels 4 through 12. Jordan has 10 years of experience teaching in the public school system, charter school system, and private tutoring. His experience is with mostly middle school and high school grade levels (6th-12th). In today’s education world, students are being asked to problem solve using algebra at younger ages. This is why students must be mathematically prepared for whatever their future holds, whether it is scoring better on college entry tests or daily at whatever skill they seek to pursue.
Jordan is a Marine Corps veteran, but don’t worry, he’s actually one of the smart ones! Seriously though, Jordan is very sincere and passionate about mathematics and connecting/teaching students. Jordan discovered that this was his God-given purpose in life during his time as a youth minister at his home church for 2 years, soon after being honorably discharged from military service. Jordan looks forward to serving the community by assisting students to develop a growth mindset and a passion for the most important topic in school, MATH! Although, Mr. Guerrero is somewhat biased in this opinion!
Monica V.
Meet Mrs. Monica. Monica has 16 years of teaching experience in elementary and high school education in reading, writing, and math. She is a native of San Antonio, TX. where she still resides and completed her Undergraduate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is certified in elementary education, special education, and teaching English as a second language. Her spare time is spent reading and learning new things to grow professionally and in her personal life. She also loves to exercise and wind down the day reading something (mostly nonfiction) real life stuff.
Over her years of teaching she has been able to help so many struggling students tap into their own thinking abilities, learn metacognitive skills (think about their thinking), and discover their own learning style along the way. Watching them grow in this way is what she feels has been the rewarding part of teaching. She is always looking forward to the next part of her teaching journey.
