Aaron M.

Aaron is a seasoned educator with a proven track record of helping students with relationship based instruction. With six years of combined classroom and one-on-one tutoring experience and a passion for empowering young minds, Aaron is an expert in specific methods of teaching reading, k-10th grade math, creative/essay writing, and US/World History. Aaron’s commitment to teaching began at Northeastern University where he got an internship at the Boys and Girls Club in Boston for a year. This is when he switched his life-long training in music to teaching. He helped students with homework, and taught small group piano lessons. He continued to privately tutor high school students writing college essays. After graduating with honors, he moved to Nicaragua, learned Spanish, and began teaching English to large classes. He returned home to teach piano privately and received an ESL Certification and a teaching certification from the American Board. He then began working for Lindamood-Bell Learning Academy tutoring kids k-12 with learning disabilities, reading, math, writing and history. When he isn’t tutoring Aaron is composing and performing piano music and enjoys hiking, fishing and rafting on the Chattahoochee River. He has a golden retriever named Maxie and loves to take her on walks. He also loves basketball, and hopes the Knicks will win the finals again. Aaron’s expertise in specific methods of reading and math instruction, writing and history, and his ability to teach in Spanish, make him an invaluable asset for any student looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.

Aaron M.

Aaron has spent 10 years teaching social studies. In those years, he taught United States History, Economics, Eastern Geographic Perspectives, and an introduction to anthropology. He loved teaching at the high school level, but it seldom allowed him to dive deep into the curriculum and intently work with students to see the light bulb illuminate. He believes every student can master what is taught. Being able to personalize lessons and help your student break through barriers builds confidence for your student’s continued success!
Aaron earned his B.A. in anthropology from Biola University a small Christian Liberal Arts University in Southern California. He then earned his M.Ed in Secondary Education in conjunction with his teaching credential in social studies from the University of Phoenix. And most recently, he earned his M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
When Aaron is not teaching, he is on the go with his family and kids with all the activities and sports they participate in. He is at the gym for gymnastics with his two daughters, hiking a trail, or on a bike ride enjoying all the natural beauty that is here in the Treasure Valley. He also teaches part-time at CWI (College of Western Idaho) a basic reading class for the Adult Education Program, to individuals seeking to further their education and careers.
He looks forward to getting to know you and your student and being a part of their educational journey!

His work often explored how these disciplined soldiers shaped not just the expansion of Rome but also the complex socio-political fabric of the Republic. His research extended into the Greek world, offering comparative insights into the military tactics and governance between these ancient powers.
