Known for her patience and supportive teaching style, Airanee tailors each lesson to fit her students’ unique learning styles and goals—helping them not only meet grade-level expectations but also push beyond their potential. When she’s not tutoring, she can usually be found enjoying the arts, exploring local coffee shops, or making others laugh with her sense of humor—because learning works best when it’s both effective and fun.

Josiah Stephens graduated as a University Scholar from Baylor University, where she studied Classics, Political Science, and History. While attending Baylor, she directed two undergraduate plays, including a production of Euripides’ Cyclops, performed entirely in Ancient Greek. After her collegiate adventures, she moved to Baton Rouge to teach Latin and Ancient Greek at The Dunham School. She enjoys incorporating literature, philosophy, and drama into her classroom. Her passion is to help students find joy and confidence during the learning process, no matter their interests or educational background. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, biking, cooking, and being talked into watching silly action movies.

Keith M.

Keith Morgan is a proud graduate of Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.  His desire for challenges and learning guided him to over 15 years of wonderful professional experiences with companies like Hughes Aircraft, Texas Instruments, McGraw Hill, and US West Telecommunications.  Through those experiences as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Denver, Colorado and Dallas, Texas, he accumulated a wealth of wisdom that prepared him to pursue his true passion of inspiring and educating young scholars.

Over the last 20 years, Keith has performed the duties of a middle school mathematics educator in Louisiana.  Throughout his educating career, he has tutored 1-on-1 and small group scholars to help them maximize skills born in whole classroom settings.  As a certified mathematics teacher, he has been able to assist his students with their daily and weekly math and life challenges.  Being a native of Monroe, Louisiana, Keith has been able to seamlessly integrate back into the fabric of life in Louisiana and continue his journey to empower his students through knowledge.  In his spare time, he enjoys watching college and professional football and basketball, cooking, and gardening.

Meagan H.

Meagan holds bachelor’s degrees in both English and secondary education from LSU. While attending LSU, she was a lead teacher at Sylvan Learning Center. During her tenure, she developed skills working with all age groups and fostering a love for reading and writing. She spent four years teaching middle school in the public school system, where her students connected with her real-world lessons and crafted their writing styles. Meagan also spent a year teaching fourth through sixth grade in all core areas, so she feels comfortable teaching other subjects in addition to her ELA specialty.

Meagan specializes in breaking down not only complex concepts, but also complex emotions related to learning. She strives to make education enjoyable, especially for children who may struggle with anxiety towards learning. In her spare time, Meagan loves to play disc golf with her family, read, and manage her small business.

Tiffany P.

Tiffany P. graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College) in 1998 and from LSU Law Center (Top 10%) in 2001. After approximately nineteen years of work in the legal field, Tiffany began pursuing her passions for education and working with young people, first by substituting and working as a middle school English Language Arts Interventionist and then as a Sixth Grade English Language Arts Instructor. Tiffany effectively uses her years of research and writing experience to instruct students regarding literary analysis, grammar essentials, and various forms of writing (ranging from research essays, short answer responses, fictional writing, and poetry to persuasive speeches, among other texts). With her background in the law and her college minor in history, she is also well-equipped to assist students with analytical thinking and problem-solving, as well as social studies and related subjects. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching sporting events (particularly the LSU Tigers), and traveling.

 

Haley C.

Haley Jewell Capps is a dedicated tutor who finds joy in those “aha!” moments when a student finally grasps a challenging concept. With a Master of Natural Science degree, Haley is a proud STEM enthusiast and lifelong learner, always eager to expand her expertise through summer trainings on new subjects and curricula. She has a deep love for agriculture and is passionate about fostering hands-on learning as a robotics sponsor and 4-H sponsor. Whether she’s guiding students in science, engineering, technology, or agricultural projects, she brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson. Outside of teaching, you can find Haley embracing the outdoors, reading a good book, or riding her horses. Her passion for education and curiosity for the world make her an engaging and inspiring mentor for students of all backgrounds.

 

Terri M.

A dedicated education professional with a passion for fostering student growth and development, Mrs. Myers brings her diverse professional background and small business and current position as a licensed teacher of English Language Learners to offer strategic intervention for reading, executive functions, and tutoring. Mrs. Myers holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and Religion from Liberty University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in curriculum and instruction with a leadership focus.

Trained through the Orton Gillingham Academy, Mrs. Myers delivers highly effective, structured, and multisensory methods designed to teach literacy skills, particularly for individuals with dyslexia. This approach is characterized by its direct, explicit, sequential, and cumulative instruction, which breaks down reading and spelling into smaller, manageable skills. It emphasizes the use of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic pathways to enhance learning. This method is not only beneficial for one-on-one tutoring but also adaptable for small group and classroom settings, making it a versatile tool for educators aiming to improve literacy outcomes for all students.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Myers enjoys a variety of hobbies that enrich her life and provide a well-rounded perspective. Gardening is a favorite pastime, offering a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with nature. She loves to pair fresh garden ingredients with her love for cooking. An avid reader, she enjoys exploring new genres and authors, always eager to dive into a good book.

Spending time with her husband and beloved dogs is another cherished activity, bringing joy and companionship to her daily routine. Whenever possible, Mrs. Myers loves to travel, seeking out new adventures and experiences that broaden her horizons and inspire her teaching.

With a commitment to education and a love for life’s simple pleasures, Mrs. Myers strives to make a positive impact both in and out of the classroom.
