Hannah D.
Hannah attended Vanguard University of Southern California and graduated in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies. She was one of the first from her university to graduate with a teaching credential at the same time, as she was accepted into the “Integrated Teacher Education Program.” ITEP allowed her to receive her Bachelor’s and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential within four years with a rigorous course load. California has a very intensive teacher credentialing program that tests its candidates in different subjects and skills. One notable assessment Hannah completed and passed was the RICA, the Reading Instruction Competence Assessment. This assessment was put into place to make sure that teacher candidates would be effective in reading instruction. It tests the knowledge and skills needed for this specifically. Her student teaching was done in a Kindergarten classroom. She has experience teaching 5th grade and is currently a 3rd grade teacher in Nampa, Idaho.
Hannah was born and raised in Southern California but recently moved to Boise, Idaho this summer and loves it already! Her hobbies include interior design, creating materials for her classroom, going on long walks, and spending time with family and friends. She is a big advocate of differentiated learning and finding what ways individual students learn best, and finds excitement in walking alongside them to support them academically. Teaching is incredibly rewarding to Hannah and it brings her immense joy to be of any support to students.
