Tareque M.

Tareque is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with majors in English and History. He is currently completing his Master of Teaching at OISE (University of Toronto) and is on the path to becoming an Ontario Certified Teacher. As part of his graduate work, Tareque is researching the benefits of using video games as pedagogy and course material, exploring how they can create new pathways for learning and highlight underrepresented skills in education.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Tareque holds TEFL/TESOL certification and has taught ESL/EFL to a wide range of learners, from young children to seniors. His tutoring philosophy emphasizes heuristic learning, strong study habits, and differentiated instruction, tailoring his approach to each student’s strengths, interests, and learning preferences.

Beyond teaching, Tareque enjoys music, film, reading, writing fiction, video games, and karaoke. He is passionate about bringing creativity, inclusivity, and innovation into his teaching to help students reach their full potential.

Cameron H.

Cameron is a second-year teacher candidate with math and chemistry teachables. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in Physical Science with a minor in Mathematics, a program that allowed him to explore all three sciences while specializing in chemistry and math.

Through his teacher education program, Cameron has worked with students across a range of grade levels in both mathematics and chemistry. In math, he has supported learners with everything from foundational skills to advanced topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, and calculus. In chemistry, he has helped facilitate labs, guided students in mastering core principles, and connected theoretical concepts to real-world applications.

Cameron’s tutoring style is student-centered, focusing on each learner’s unique needs and learning style. He breaks down complex material into manageable steps, uses clear and approachable language, and provides a variety of strategies to help students build confidence and achieve success.

Outside of tutoring, Cameron enjoys playing volleyball, going to the gym, solving puzzles, and sewing. He is flexible, approachable, and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

Kyffen G.

Kyffen brings over 20 years of experience as both a French Immersion classroom teacher and a Special Education Resource Teacher. She has taught and supported students of all abilities across Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is qualified to teach up to Grade 12. At the Intermediate level, her teaching experience includes French (Immersion), Geography (Immersion), History (Immersion), Art, Drama, English, Vocal Music, and Spanish (through her university practicum).

Passionate about student success, Kyffen focuses on building strong relationships founded on mutual trust and respect. She takes time to understand each learner’s needs and strengths, then uses that knowledge to guide students toward both academic achievement and personal growth. Her lessons are differentiated, creative, and engaging, ensuring that every student feels supported and motivated to reach their potential.

Kyffen believes that every student is capable of success. Her role as an educator is to teach, support, engage, and inspire—helping students build confidence and find joy in learning along the way.

Outside of tutoring, Kyffen enjoys spending time with her family, walking her two golden retrievers, and performing in community musical theatre productions.

Gabriella V.

Gabriella is a teacher candidate in her final year of Brock University’s Concurrent Education program, where she is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies alongside a Bachelor of Education (Primary/Junior). She believes in a learning-by-doing philosophy and in fostering a growth mindset, creating inclusive and welcoming environments where students feel empowered to thrive and reach their full potential.

Open to teaching all K–6 subjects, Gabriella has hands-on experience teaching math and language through the Brock Learning Lab and in a Peel District School Board classroom. She is passionate about inspiring growth in every learner and is dedicated to providing personalized support that helps students gain both skills and confidence.

Outside of teaching, Gabriella enjoys spending time with friends and family and going on walks. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to student success into every tutoring session.

Tracey K.

Tracey is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. She is currently in her final year of the Concurrent Bachelor of Education program at York University, specializing in Primary/Junior Education (JK–Grade 6). She also holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, providing her with a strong understanding of how children learn and develop. This background allows her to apply psychological principles to teaching, ensuring that each child receives individualized strategies tailored to their unique learning style.

In addition to her studies, Tracey works as a supply teacher and has extensive tutoring experience across a variety of subjects. She is confident in teaching all areas of the JK–6 curriculum, with a particular specialization in French. Having attended French school throughout her life and currently supplying in French classrooms, Tracey brings a strong foundation in language learning and helps students strengthen both their written and oral French skills with confidence.

Tracey believes that every child learns differently. Her approach focuses on identifying each learner’s strengths, addressing areas for growth, and creating lessons that are engaging and meaningful. Whether a student needs support catching up, staying on track, or moving ahead, Tracey is committed to building their confidence, improving their skills, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Victoria D.

Victoria is a certified teacher with over 30 years of classroom experience. She currently teaches Grade 7 and has devoted most of her career to working with intermediate students in Grades 7 and 8. Throughout her teaching journey, she has also taught across all divisions from Kindergarten through Intermediate, as well as music on rotary.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor. With her broad teaching background, Victoria has developed a particular passion for helping students succeed in math and language. She is dedicated to supporting learners in strengthening foundational skills, building confidence, and developing strategies to achieve lasting academic success.

As a tutor, Victoria creates a positive and encouraging environment where each child feels supported to learn and grow. She is passionate about helping students reach their goals and fostering a genuine love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Outside of teaching, Victoria enjoys golfing, music, and learning pickleball. She treasures time spent with her husband, their three adult children, and their golden retriever, Bentley.

Suganya T.

Suganya is a Tamil-Canadian educator certified to teach Kindergarten through Grade 6. She completed her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Alternative Dispute Resolution at Ontario Tech University (formerly the University of Ontario Institute of Technology) before earning her Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa. With over 10 years of experience working with children, Suganya brings both knowledge and care to her teaching practice. She has also pursued additional professional learning, including Part 1 AQ in Special Education, to better support diverse learners.

Outside of teaching, Suganya enjoys reading, listening to music, kickboxing, and taking leisure walks.

Matthew A.

Matthew is currently completing his Master of Teaching degree at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, which will qualify him to teach Kindergarten through Grade 6. He is deeply passionate about teaching and values the opportunity to create, learn, and grow alongside his students.

His extensive experience volunteering and student teaching in classrooms with diverse learning needs has equipped him with a wide range of strategies, tools, and resources to support students both at school and at home. Matthew is committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and trustworthy learning environments where students feel supported, encouraged, and confident to take an active role in their education.

Syed M.

Syed holds a degree in Mathematics from York University and brings over five years of tutoring experience working with students from Kindergarten through the undergraduate level. He is dedicated to helping learners not only understand course content but also develop the ability to ask thoughtful questions—building both confidence and curiosity along the way.

Passionate about getting to know his students, Syed tailors each lesson to their individual needs, making learning more engaging, enjoyable, and relevant. His student-centered approach ensures that every learner feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.

Skylar S.

Skylar graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Education, following her undergraduate degree in Arts and Sciences. She has gained valuable classroom experience through teaching placements with both the Simcoe County District School Board and the Durham District School Board (DDSB). Currently, she is working toward a permanent teaching position with the DDSB, focusing on the primary and junior grade levels.

Beyond the classroom, Skylar has worked with children in a variety of settings, including daycare centers and as a ski instructor during the winter season. She is passionate about helping students learn and grow, and she strives to build their confidence and understanding, particularly when they face challenges.

Skylar is also pursuing a specialization in Special Education, equipping her to support diverse learners by adapting her teaching to meet individual needs and learning styles. She is excited to meet new students, discover their interests, and create lessons that are both engaging and personalized.
