Sandra M.

Sandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida and brings a strong academic foundation to her role as a tutor. For the past three years, she has worked with students ranging from Pre-K to college, teaching subjects such as English, chemistry, organic chemistry, and various math courses.

Sandra’s unique experience spans early childhood education and college-level tutoring, giving her a versatile and adaptive teaching style. She takes pride in making complex topics approachable and believes in creating a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs.

She recently graduated in May 2025 and is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Nova Southeastern University. Samir H.

Samir H. is an experienced STEM tutor with a strong academic background in biochemistry. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biochemistry at Western University and is currently finishing his PhD in Biochemistry, where he applies synthetic biology to engineering artificial organelles. In 2020, Samir was awarded the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for his academic excellence and leadership. During a year living in Kuwait, Samir tutored middle-school students in English, science, and mathematics, and he now brings over a decade of combined tutoring, mentoring, and teaching experience to his students. He speaks three languages (English, Arabic, and French) and is passionate about helping learners build confidence through clear, supportive, and personalized instruction. Outside of academics, Samir previously founded and operated a science-focused startup, reflecting his commitment to translating scientific ideas into real-world impact. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, strategy games, and reading.

Amirhossein A.

Amirhossein is an academic mentor with a strong record in university teaching and research. He pursued his graduate studies in Computer Science at Western University, where he completed his master’s degree. During his academic journey, Amirhossein served as a Teaching Assistant at both the University of Tehran and Western University, supporting students in core computer science subjects such as programming and database systems. Through these roles, he developed a teaching approach centered on clear explanation, step-by-step reasoning, and helping learners build confidence in challenging material.

Jessica N.

Jessica is a certified teacher with a passion for History and the humanities. She tutors History as well as other literacy-based subjects, including English, Philosophy, and Geography. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Contemporary Studies, majoring in History, at Toronto Metropolitan University and went on to earn her Bachelor of Education in Wales, UK.

Jessica’s teaching style is warm, supportive, and student-centered. She focuses on building confidence, strengthening writing and analytical skills, and breaking down big ideas in a clear, approachable way. Jessica loves helping students make connections, ask thoughtful questions, and feel proud of their progress.

Whether a student needs help with reading, writing, essay skills, organizational skills, or general skill-building, Jessica tailor’s each session to their needs and learning style. She is committed to making learning engaging, manageable, and genuinely enjoyable. Her goal is to help students feel proud of their progress and build skills for success in school and beyond.

Outside of teaching, Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing mindfulness, and meditation, which helps her support students in managing stress during busy exam periods.

Chiara B.

Chiara is a Ph.D. student in Earth & Environmental Engineering at Columbia University with a strong background in Materials Science & Engineering. She completed her B.S. and integrated M.S. at the University of Pennsylvania, where she focused on energy materials, sustainability, and advanced chemistry and physics. Chiara worked on projects ranging from battery materials and CO₂-capture technologies to computational modeling and environmental engineering systems.

Chiara loves tutoring because it lets her help students break through challenging concepts with clarity and confidence. Her teaching style is all about simplifying complex problems, “stating the obvious” to build a strong foundation, and creating incremental steps that lead to real, lasting understanding. Chiara focuses on making even the toughest topics feel manageable and intuitive.

Naeim holds a Master of Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, where he also gained extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant across multiple courses, including Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Tools and System Programming, Databases and Advanced Databases, Artificial Intelligence, and Introduction to Programming. Throughout his graduate studies, Naeim developed a strong passion for helping students grasp complex concepts through clear explanations and practical problem-solving strategies. He has worked closely with learners at different levels, supporting them in strengthening their analytical thinking and building confidence in computer science fundamentals. Outside of academics, Naeim enjoys staying active and exploring creative projects, which he brings into his teaching style to create a friendly, motivating learning environment.

Nigah T. (N. T.) is a dedicated fourth-year student in the BMOS Finance and Administration program at Western University. She’s not just a student though, she brings advanced professional expertise from her prior work in Data Analytics and Business Innovation, giving her a real-world perspective that truly elevates her tutoring. NT’s approach is to simplify the toughest concepts: she doesn’t believe in rote memorisation, but in helping students build a solid conceptual framework so they can tackle any problem with confidence.

Veronika L.

Veronika grew up in Vancouver BC where she attended UBC, majoring in Microbiology and Immunology and is currently pursuing her master’s in occupational therapy at the University of Western Ontario in London, ON. Throughout university she has tutored students ranging from ages 6-20 in subjects including Math, Biology, Chemistry, and English and also in small group settings as a volunteer tutor for an organization called Light and Love home. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, snowboarding, running, and dance!

Kassidy B.

Kassidy is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) specializing in intermediate general science and senior biology courses. In 2024 she graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Science Degree with a minor in medical physiology. While studying at the university she worked as a teaching assistant for first year biology courses, where she discovered her passion for helping students build confidence and achieve success in science. This experience is what inspired her to obtain her Bachelor of Education from Western University where she further developed her teaching practices and commitment to student learning. Along with qualifications in general science and biology Kassidy had a speciality area focus of Psychology of Achievement, Inclusion and Mental Health in her Bachelor of Education. She is also currently working towards additional qualifications in intermediate mathematics and special education. This educational background expands her ability to support students with a variety of learning needs.
Kassidy’s teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student can succeed when provided with the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities to express their understanding in a variety of ways. She strives to create engaging and supportive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential. Outside of teaching Kassidy has many passions, she was a competitive dancer for 15 years, she loves to read, and enjoys travelling with friends when she has the time.
