Kathleen B. is an experienced instructional support tutor and executive functioning coach with more than 35 years of experience working with children in both school settings and private practice. Kathi has served as a teacher, school counselor and school psychologist in the Philadelphia School District. She holds a Ph.D in Psychoeducational Processes and a M.Ed. In Counseling Psychology from Temple University, as well as a B.S. in Elementary Education from Penn State University.

Her educational philosophy focuses on nurturing the whole child by integrating intellectual, emotional and social development. Kathi’s psychology background enables her to identify possible cognitive or social-emotional factors that may contribute to a student’s learning challenges and allows her to tailor instruction to each learner’s unique needs. Dr. Bucci is committed to motivating reluctant learners while maintaining high expectations and fostering confidence and growth.

Kathi offers homework support in reading and writing for elementary through high school students. As an executive functioning coach, Kathi helps students develop study skills, time management strategies, emotional regulation, and metacognitive awareness. Kathi also provides reading tutoring for ISEE and SSAT test prep, providing targeted instruction that strengthens core academic skills while fostering higher-order thinking and reasoning for optima learning outcomes. She has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners and is a proud mother of three successful neurodivergent adult children. Her personal journey advocating for her own children has profoundly deepened her understanding of adaptable teaching methods and her appreciation for diverse learning styles.

While her leadership spans systems-level work, her heart has always remained with students—especially in underserved communities, where she inspired achievement gains, built engagement, and designed student-centered approaches that blended rigor and creativity. For over a decade, I have also provided individualized tutoring, supporting diverse learners with personalized instruction tailored to their unique needs and goals. Micaela H. is a current student at FIU, majoring in Political Science and Biology. She is in her senior year, preparing to enter Physician Assistant school while completing her degree. Micaela has been tutoring for approximately 3 years, covering grades K–12. She has previous experience as a registered behavior technician, where she took care of autistic children in a school setting and aided in modifying behavior. Micaela believes that building a strong relationship with her students enables her to better understand their needs and support their learning. As a mentor, she continually develops strategies for working with children. She finds these experiences not only enjoyable but also incredibly rewarding. Thiago E.

Thiago E. is a Miami-based tutor with expertise in mathematics, science, and music. He speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, along with a few other languages due to growing up in an international household. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology—graduating with Highest Honors—and will complete his Master’s in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University & Research, ranked the world’s most sustainable university, at the end of this year. His teaching experience spans middle school to college with a range including working as a study-abroad instructor in France, and private viola teacher in Miami. Outside the classroom, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and with orchestras worldwide. He now enjoys creating music for fun! Thiago combines deep subject knowledge, international experience, and a proven teaching record to help students excel in STEM and music.

 

Daniella F.

Daniella grew up in Pennsylvania and obtained her Psychology Degree at Boston College focusing on Child Cognitive research. She later gained her medical degree at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NYC and is now a dedicated neurology resident continuing her passion for understanding the brain. Her research experience at the Boston College Infant and Child Cognition Lab, allowed her to investigate how children develop their understanding of math through gesture and eye-tracking studies. She also contributed to the creation of “Parkopolis,” a life-size STEM board game designed to promote STEM learning and parent-child engagement in underserved communities, developed at Temple University’s Infant and Child Lab. Daniella’s work reflects her deep commitment to fostering curiosity and confidence in young learners, and she is driven by a genuine love for helping children grow, develop, and become the next generation of thinkers and innovators.

Cynthia P.

Cynthia is a certified teacher with a doctoral degree in education. She has over 20 years experience teaching both in the classroom and tutoring. As a school teacher she worked mainly with middle school students. As a tutor she has worked with students from first grade to the college level. Her years of experience and passion for teaching (and learning) give her the expertise needed to create targeted lessons that support learning and meet her students’ specific educational needs.

Dr. Pellegrini got her doctoral degree from Florida International University. She has a master’s degree in reading and learning disabilities from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences. She also studied in Italy where she lived and taught English to high school students and to adults. Cynthia is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
Outside of her professional life, Cynthia enjoys gardening, watching documentaries, travelling, playing with her animals, and of course, reading. She often uses knowledge gained from these passions to connect with her students and spark their curiosity for places and things they may know little or nothing about.

Cynthia understands children and has a knack for creating a good rapport with her students. She makes them feel comfortable and makes every effort to celebrate their progress and successes. With her, students are made to feel like new challenges are always surmountable, with a little effort. Cynthia’s students enjoy her classes while working hard to reach their academic goals.

Jeniffer G.

Jeniffer Garcia is an elementary teacher. Since 2016, she has dedicated herself to fostering children’s educational needs and development from various age groups. Her experience includes preschool teacher (Reggio Emilia philosophy) which implements environmental teaching and hands-on learning, as well as an elementary school teacher where she has incorporated various learning styles and Registered Behavioral Technician where she worked with special needs children for the past four years. Through the years, Jeniffer has made it her mission to help students.
