Sophia is an alumna of The Study School and Marianopolis College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at Concordia University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Marketing. With over three years of experience tutoring students at the elementary, high school, and CEGEP levels, Sophia is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic objectives. She is highly adaptable, tailoring her teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of each student, and is always ready to embrace challenges to ensure her students succeed. EN: Siân is currently studying at McGill University in the Faculty of Education. She is in the kindergarten/elementary pédagogie d’immersion française program in hopes of becoming a French immersion elementary school teacher. She has previous experience tutoring grades 3-6 in various subjects in French.
She is very passionate about teaching and enjoys working with young minds. She believes in strong relationships with her students and making learning fun!

FR: Siân étudie actuellement à l’Université McGill dans la Faculté de l’Éducation. Elle est inscrite au programme de pédagogie d’immersion française pour les niveaux maternelle et primaire, dans l’espoir de devenir enseignante dans une école primaire en immersion française. Elle a une expérience antérieure en tutorat pour les élèves de la 3e à la 6e année dans divers sujets en français.

Justin D.

Justin is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who currently works as a Tax Associate at Richter. He holds his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (CPA Program) from McGill University. During his time in University, Justin also spent a semester abroad in England at the University of Manchester.

Justin has been a teaching assistant in McGill’s CPA program for the past two years and lead a Birthright Israel trip this past summer.

Curtis has been tutoring for over 5 years, and specializes in teaching high school math, specifically precalculus. He started tutoring at his elementary school, moving on to high school, then at his college as well as at tutoring organizations such as Wyzant and Liberty Tutoring.

Larissa C.

Larissa is currently pursuing an MDCM & PhD combined program at McGill University. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with an Honours BSc degree in Physiology, and from McGill University for her MSc in Neuroscience, as a McCall MacBain Scholar (’21). She volunteers as an educator for Concussion Legacy Foundation and BrainReach, leading community outreach programs in elementary schools around Montréal. In her 8-year involvement in research, she has authored papers examining lifestyle impacts on cognitive processes, specifically one focusing on children with learning disabilities.

She has tutored students up to the undergraduate university course level in biology, chemistry, psychology, and English. Her success comes from her unique approach to tutoring and career consulting that draws from her
versatile background as a licensed pilot, ski coach of Alpine Canada Coach Education, violin teacher with an Associate Diploma (ARCT) from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and ski patroller at Mont Tremblant to name a few. As an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, she instructs aviation theory, leadership, and communication skills; she also specializes in instructing university and scholarship application writing within and outside of the Forces.

Being born and raised in British Columbia, she is an avid backcountry skier and hiker. When she’s not on a mountain, you could find her exploring the city by bike.

Adrien B.

EN: Adrien is a 3rd year student in Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University. Perfectly bilingual, he has been tutoring math and physics both online and in person for over three years. He has a strong interest in astrophysics and artificial intelligence. Along with studying the night sky with his telescope, he has done presentations for the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and has been published in SkyNews magazine. He worked as a camp counsellor for many summers and is an avid outdoorsman and camper. He can often be found reading in his hammock at Park Mount Royal.

FR: Adrien est étudiant en 3e année de génie mécanique à l’Université Concordia. Parfaitement bilingue, il fait du tutorat en mathématiques et en physique en ligne et en personne depuis plus de trois ans. Il a un grand intérêt pour l’astrophysique et l’intelligence artificielle. En plus d’étudier le ciel nocturne avec son télescope, il a réalisé des présentations pour la Société royale d’astronomie du Canada et a été publié dans le magazine SkyNews. Il a travaillé comme animateur de camp pendant de nombreux étés et est un passionné de plein air et de camping. On peut souvent le trouver en train de lire dans son hamac au parc du Mont-Royal.
