Khalil C.

Khalil has a bachelors of science in physics and mathematics. He is pursuing a master of teaching degree at OISE. He’s been tutoring since he has graduated high school with various different companies and methods. Khalil enjoys exploring new avenues by which to approach teaching mathematics and physics concepts and is always looking to improve upon his teaching and tutoring skill set.

 

Laura N.

Laura is a patient and enthusiastic educator who takes pride in helping her students succeed! Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, and is currently working towards the completion of her OCT designation with Ontario Tech University. Laura has been in the education field for just under 10 years tutoring students, teaching health and physical education in a private school setting, as well as teaching abroad in South Africa. Eric V.

Eric is a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in the arts and education. He is a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers in the Junior Intermediate Division with an Advanced qualification in Primary Education. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts photography degree from Ontario College of Arts and Design and a Bachelors of Education. Before starting his bachelor’s of education, Eric mentored and coached robotics for 3 years.
Eric has experience teaching grades 1-10 with a strong affinity for math and art. He strives to maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being. He aims for students to see the potential in themselves and their learning abilities.

Gaya S.

Gayathri S. is well known for her experience for working with children and her passion for teaching. She has her Bachelor of Arts and her Bachelor of Education to certify her teaching credentials in Ontario. She is a member of the IB World School, where she has taught in private schools, tutoring and educating primary and junior students. She is nurturing and focuses on creating a safe space, a child-centered approach in students acknowledging their learning abilities and accomplishing their educational needs.

Tim K.

Tim K. is a Junior and Intermediate certified teacher. He graduated with a Marketing Degree from UOIT, Bachelor of Arts from Trent University and Master’s Degree in Science (MSc) from D’Youville University. Since graduating, he has taught for the past 16 years and continued to enrich his understanding through courses in special education, completing his work as a specialist.
Tim has had several years of private tutoring experience where he customizes the lessons to accommodate the diverse needs of the learner, all while providing a fun and engaging learning environment for everyone. In his leisure time, Tim is an avid chess player, coach and weightlifter.

 

 

Amy S.

Amy is an Ontario Certified Teacher who is qualified to teach any subject ranging from Kindergarten to Grade Eight. She is an aspiring educator who desires to co-construct safe learning environments with her students so that they feel empowered to explore their full potentials. Amy currently works full-time as a teacher with the York Region District School Board. She has a Bachelor of Education from York University and has worked for more than three years at various childcare and tutoring centres with her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies that she obtained at Ryerson University. Amy is bilingual as she is fluent in both Korean and English.

Ralph K.

Ralph graduated with high distinctions from the Rotman school of management at the University (BCom ’21 with a specialization in finance and economics, major in economics, and minor in environmental economics). He has been teaching as a TA and tutor since his third year, helping students all over North America succeed. After graduating, Ralph decided to follow his dreams of becoming a professional football (soccer) player and has been playing professionally in Europe for the last three years. He loves keeping his brain active, teaching, and helping others. As such, he continues to be available as a devoted tutor to help you excel in school.

Howard S.

Howard is an experienced educator having worked in secondary and post-secondary as a tutor, tutorial, and seminar leader. He’s currently finishing his PhD at York University and teaches social science and writing courses at Seneca College. Howard has tutored extensively in a variety of subjects including social science, humanities, business, and research writing. He specializes in helping students set goals and develop strategies to improve their writing and studying skills. With more than 15 years working in education and the private sector, Howard has been able to support students as they develop their academic and professional skills.

After completing a diploma in Liberal Arts at Seneca College, Howard went on to study Anthropology and History at York University, where he also received a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Senior/Highschool Teaching). He then completed a Master of Arts at Guelph University, specializing in Public Issues Anthropology and Applied Sociology. He has also completed certificates and training in research ethics, teaching with technology, tutor training, as well as extensive training and experience working with students with unique learning needs. Howard also enjoys mentoring students and young professionals as they embark on their transition from school to work.

 

William L.

William is an OCT certified teacher at the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior division. He obtained his HBA from the University of Toronto, and his BEd from Queen’s University. He has over 12 years of teaching experience with public and private boards, as well as one on one tutoring. Currently, he specializes in assisting students with English related concepts and course work, including ENG1D, ENG2D, NBD3U, ENG3U, and ENG4U. William understands that the significance of establishing healthy writing habits requires not only practicing the mechanics, but also improving the organization and precision in conveying analysis with depth. Hence, William is able to assist your child in developing the necessary understanding and skill sets to write proper academic essays. Finally, William understands that every student has different needs and expectations, and he looks forward to working with his students to achieve academic success.

Sarah G.

Sarah graduated from York University, where she completed her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies with Honours, majoring in English and minoring in Portuguese. She completed her Bachelor of Education, specializing in the Primary/Junior levels. During her Bachelor of Education, she obtained a Tutoring Certification and has since tutored English internationally. Sarah has since furthered her education by obtaining additional qualifications in subjects such as math, and reading, and has become qualified to teach the intermediate levels; meaning she is able to teach from kindergarten to grade 10. Sarah is currently teaching with the Simcoe County District School Board.
