Oriane F.

Oriane Falkenstein is an accomplished educator and curriculum writer with extensive experience in teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. She has a dual General Studies and Jewish Studies background. Her teaching certification spans from primary to senior levels, with specialist qualifications in Special Education, Guidance, and English as a Second Language. She recently acquired her specialist qualifications as a Teacher Librarian. Oriane is known for her unwavering dedication and total commitment to her students. Oriane is skilled in promoting organization, study skills, critical thinking, and executive functioning. She has a natural ability to inspire and engage her students.

In addition to her love for the classroom, Oriane has always enjoyed tutoring students one-on-one. Her personalized approach allows her to focus on each student’s unique learning needs and goals, providing them with the individual attention and support they need to succeed.  

Oriane is also a children’s book author, showcasing her creativity and love for literature. As a lifelong learner, she is a strong believer in professional development and constantly seeks new knowledge and skills and the latest developments in her field. 

Oriane is an avid reader and enjoys lap swimming,. working out at the gym and is a crazy dog lover!

Christian V.

Christian has a Bachelor’s of Commerce Spec. Accounting as well as a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting. He has several years of experience in tutoring both high school and university level business courses. Outside of Christian’s work at a Big 4 accounting firm, Christian enjoys spending time playing hockey, fishing and cooking.

Carlee G.

Carlee is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program after earning an Honours Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Studies. Carlee has over 4 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator prior to continuing her education and working towards becoming a teacher. During that time she was also an Educational Assistant where she enjoyed helping students, especially in math. Through those experiences, Carlee has learned how to assist students in their learning to ultimately build their confidence in their own learning. Carlee is excited to meet and teach all students. Carlee is specialized in Primary and Junior grades (kindergarten to grade 6).

Nicole S.

Nicole is an Ontario Certified Teacher, with experience teaching Primary, Junior and Intermediate grades. Nicole has completed her Master of Education last year at York University. Nicole has experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Nicole has tutored for 6+ years and has been teaching for four year, including Special Education. Nicole has experiences teaching and tutoring online as well.

She recognizes that each student has their own unique learning abilities and promotes safe and inclusive learning environment. Nicole gets to know her students interests in order to create impactful lesson plans that will engage each learner. Nicole is a caring and positive individual and is passionate about working with children. During Nicole’s spare time, she enjoys doing yoga, going on walks, reading, hiking, and more!

Omar B.

Omar holds a bachelor of business administration from ESADE Business School and a master’s degree in hospitality management from Les Roches. Additionally, he is completing his bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Ottawa in the junior and intermediate divisions. His main didactic is mathematics. He likes to listen to his students and their needs to provide them with quality teaching leading to their academic or professional goals. Also, if you need to improve your language skills he will certainly help you as he speaks French, English, Spanish and Arabic. He taught French to federal government employees during two years so he has experience preparing students to reach the level of comfort needed to pass both oral and written exams.

Melissa P.

Melissa is a Master of Teaching student and a teacher candidate from U of T OISE. She has experience tutoring and teaching a diverse group of high school students ranging from TDSB to the highly academic UTS private school. She is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto and obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in human biology and molecular biology. She graduated with a 3.8 GPA so she is very knowledgeable in the field of science, coupled with her experience working as a teaching assistant at U of T, she has all the learning skills and tips that can help students succeed in one of the world’s highest-ranking universities. She will be a certified teacher in Ontario next year after she graduates from her Master of Teaching program. Some of the subjects that she can teach are K-12 Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Geography, and Mandarin.

Diana F.

Diana is an Ontario certified teacher who has had a successful career spanning over 25 years (since 1997) in education with the Toronto Board. She began her career in teaching as a Deaf-blind Facilitator, then acquiring her degree in education with a specialist in visual arts from York University in 2005.

Diana prides herself as a lifelong learner and encourages her students to be the same. She has a patient and supportive approach to teaching. Her special education background coupled with visual arts allows her to support and provide varying and unique ways to support all types of learners, in order to help them meet their full potential.

Diana is passionate about the arts, animals and the environment. When she is not teaching she can be found creating art, tending to her ample collection of plants, hiking, and spending time with close friends and family.

Angie X.

Angie has a double honours degree in English and Child and Youth Studies with a minor in Psychology. She has 8 years of experience working in a classroom assisting and teaching for various school across Ontario boards including the TDSB and Grand Erie District School Board. Angie has worked one on one with students who need support in reading at younger ages all the way to supporting grade 12 students with their Independent Study Unit. She has a passion for Victorian literature and spends her spare time reading, and walking her two dogs.

Andre T.

Andre graduated with Honors in Social and Environmental Justice with a French Teaching Option at Nipissing University. Andre is bilingual and can tutor from grades 4-10. Andre believes that learning is never ending, and hopes to continue to work with students to help foster this mentality.

Tony is an Ontario teacher where he is certified to teach the primary, junior, and senior divisions. Aside from his passion for teaching, he has been a university administrator, where he has supported students in achieving academic success. He also holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies.
