Tony V.

Tony is an Ontario teacher where he is certified to teach the primary, junior, and senior divisions. Aside from his passion for teaching, he has been a university administrator, where he has supported students in achieving academic success. He also holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies.

Tania T.

Tania has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in both English and Adult Education. She has twelve years of experience working with a range of learners from elementary school students to adults. She specializes in English, ESL, history, geography, and social sciences. She has worked in both private and nonprofit learning organizations.

Heather B.

Heather has a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of Ireland, Galway and is a registered secondary teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers. She has a B.Sc. from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a major in Biology and minors in Biochemistry and Physical Anthropology. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her two huskies. Heather is available for tutoring in maths (up to grade 11) and science (up to grade 11 Physics and grade 12 Biology and Chemistry).

Alain Z.

Alain Zaramian holds a B.A. (Classical Languages, Religious Studies) from the University of Toronto and an M.A. and Ph.D. (Classical Languages) from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also taught Latin and ancient Greek languages and literature. In 2018, he was awarded the Classics Department’s annual award for teaching. He additionally has many years of tutoring experience, working with high school and university students in a broad range of subjects across the humanities and social sciences. He is currently working on his first book, a study of ancient Greek and Roman religious poetry.

In his spare time, Alain loves to read, watch movies, and cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Katarina T.

Katarina is an aspiring teacher who is deeply committed to her studies and passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. Currently, she is in her second year of the Bachelor of Education program at York University, where she is enhancing her skills and acquiring valuable experience in the field. She graduated from Queen’s University in 2020, where she earned a degree in science and established a solid foundation in Science and Math. This, coupled with her exceptional organizational and communication skills, makes her an excellent tutor. Katarina has a true passion for helping students grow and reach their full potential. With her experience as a Behaviour Therapist, Katarina works hard to help children with Autism acquire important life skills that will aid them in reaching their full potential. She understands that each student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and is committed to working with them in a personalized manner to help them achieve their goals. Her enthusiasm for education and her dedication to student success make her confident in her ability to provide high-quality support and guidance to those she works with.

Carol F.

Carol is a teacher with a deep passion for teaching and an even deeper desire to see children learn and love to leam. She has a Bachelor of Education and Honors English/History Degree, and is an English Specialist. Carol is qualified to teach in the levels of Primary, Junior and Intermediate. Her over 3 decades as an educator has allowed her to develop skills as a teacher of English, Social Studies, Math and Science. Carol has been a tutor for 15 years. It is a delight for Carol to see young minds come alive to English or Math concepts, whether they be 4 or 19! Carol is a native born to Toronto, and has 3 daughters and 3 cats. She enjoys winter sports, travel, classic literature as hobbies.

Ariana H.

Ariana is an educator with over a decade of experience teaching academic and practical skills to students at a junior/intermediate level and 5+ years working with students at a secondary school level. With an Honours Degree in French Studies and Political Science, she is passionate about coaching students through their academic journey using tools for organization, writing, reading and speech. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Education (Teacher’s College) with a 4.0 G.P.A, specializing in teaching Math and Language studies. She is fluent in 4 languages and is passionate about helping students communicate effectively and eloquently for essays and oral presentations as she believes proper use of language (including mathematical language) can help students reach their full potential, becoming more confident academically and socially. During her free time, Ariana loves yoga, running and weightlifting, and still makes time to read 100 books a year to feed her passionate for literature!

Timothy A.

Tim has been a teacher with the Toronto District School Board since 2008. He has taught mathematics, science and English to students from grades 5 to 8. Tim has also taught in public school in Seoul, South Korea. As a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree and Bachelor of Education degree, Tim is certified to teach in the Junior-Intermediate Division (grades 4 to 8) and the Intermediate-Senior Division (grades 9 to 12 science and mathematics). Tim also has a Master of Educational Technology degree from the University of British Columbia. He is interested in using various approaches to enhance student learning. In his spare time, Tim enjoys cooking, going to the gym, and travelling. He has been to South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, England, France, and the United States. Tim is keen on learning about different cultures and languages. He looks forward to helping every child succeed.

Matthew O.

Matthew O’Reilly is an educator specializing in the arts and the humanities. He has his Honors Bachelors of Art, Bachelors of Education, and Masters of Education from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He also holds a Masters of Fine Arts from the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary. Matthew enjoys working with all age groups, having worked as a camp counselor, K-12 educator, and in post-secondary. In addition to being an educator, Matthew is an award winning emerging international artist, having been the recent recipient of the Canadian Clay and Glass Galleries Winifred Shantz Award. Matthew meets students where they are at and tailors his teaching approach to what each student needs. Gamifying, setting goals and tracking progress is Matthew’s favorite way to motivate students. Matthew helps students visualize difficult and abstract concepts by utilizing his strong background in the arts.

Aman D.

Aman recently graduated from Queen’s University with a dual degree in Computing and Commerce. Throughout his many years of being a student, Aman has developed effective study habits and organizational skills that he wishes to share with others to help them feel more confident in their studies. He has previous experience tutoring computer science and mathematics at the university and high school level. Aman is passionate about creating a safe and encouraging environment for students so that they feel successful and accomplished in their studies. Outside of tutoring, Aman enjoys watching football, playing golf and playing the guitar.
