Grace H.
Grace graduated from South China University of Technology, one of the most renowned universities in China, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering . Since her graduation, Grace has been a passionate tutor for over 20 years. She is very familiar with the Ontario curriculum and is keen on sharing her knowledge and learning methods with young generations. In working one-on-one with students in Ontario over the past 15 years, Grace has taught in both the AP and IB streams. Grace develops rapport with students at their pace, clearly explains the concepts and formulas, and nurtures students for critical thinking and analytical skills. Grace tutors math at all levels up to first year university, into addition to G11 & G12 Physics. She is always punctual and committed to her tutoring work.
Jacqueline B.

Emmanuel A.
Emmanuel has a degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics, a PhD in Reproductive Physiology and Toxicology, and a Master’s degree in Education. Before coming to Canada, he worked, for more than 10 years, as a Biology, Biochemistry, and Environmental management teacher for curricular subjects and to prepare students for the international IGCSE and IB Cambridge exams. In Canada he obtained a Diploma in Advanced Biotechnology and worked as a Research Technician at Sunnybrook Hospital, assisting in the development of psychomotor recovery techniques. He is now working as a tutor.
Emmanuel likes to approach his learning methodology through critical thinking, using everyday situations to explain the physicochemical and biological processes that surround us. He encourages students to be proactive and direct participants in their education, by using the information they have and know, as a basis and pillar for their learning process.
In his free time, he likes to play the guitar, play board games and video games with his family, and travel around Ontario.

Johanna is thrilled to be joining the Prep Academy Tutors team. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she brings a strong background in French language and literature education. She began teaching French at the elementary level before starting to teach courses at the University of Toronto (where she completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in French literature), at Mount Allison University, and at York University.
Johanna’s passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom, as she is also an active researcher in the field of teaching and learning. She has presented at national and international conferences on topics such as language acquisition, experiential and task-based learning, technology-enhanced learning, and digital gaming in language learning. She also led workshops focused on using technology to motivate and engage students, particularly in language learning.
In the classroom, Johanna emphasizes active learning through communicative tasks and projects, while also reinforcing the importance of grammar and language structure for mastery. As a tutor, she tailors instruction to students’ individual needs through targeted exercises and a variety of proven teaching methodologies.
