Stefan has an Bachelors degree in Honors Biochemistry from Wilfrid Laurier University. He continued his education at Centennial College, earning an advanced diploma in Industrial Microbiology. He just started a Masters of Science in Education, to be completed in the next few years. He currently teaches Chemistry and Microbiology at Sheridan College.

Amy W.

Amy is a graduate of the OISE Master of Teaching program at the University of Toronto with prior experience as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Amy is also a teacher with the Halton District School Board with qualifications in the Primary and Junior divisions and is pleased to offer her expertise outside of the classroom to support students with their specific learning needs. With the understanding, each student has their own unique learning style Amy has strategies and skills to provide students to find greater confidence in their learning journey. Amy enjoys working closely with students by fostering stronger connections on a one-to-one basis. She believes students will reach their learning goals by guiding them through significant learning opportunities which engage them deeper in their learning for stronger a understanding.

Emma has her diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College and is currently at Nipissing University pursuing her Bachelors of Education in the Primary/Junior French as a Second Language division.

Zoe K.

Zoe is an Ontario Certified Teacher and has a Master’s degree in Education from York University. Her teachable subjects include high school intermediate English and ESL. She also has experience teaching English at The University of Toronto. Zoe is currently teaching at Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

Hilmi M.

Hilmi is a graduate from McMaster university’s Biotechnology program. During his studies he was a volunteer as a representative of the university to introduce new students to the campus and help them through a mentorship program. The program involved tutoring 1st and 2nd year students to help them succeed in their courses. Calculus, intro to programming, statistics, physics, chemistry and biology were among the courses that he tutored.

Outside of education, Hilmi is an avid Rock climber, computer builder, comic movie buff, Disney fan, and loves to camp.

My name is Tamar Richards. I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, M.Sc. in Atmospheric Science, and B.Sc. (honors) in Physics. I am a certified teacher in Senior and Intermediate Mathematics, Environmental Science, and Physics. Tamar has several years of teaching experience and taught a variety of courses in science and mathematics.

Amna is an Ontario Certified Teacher, certified to teach Primary, Intermediate, and Senior Mathematics. She completed her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University in Mathematics and Statistics and her Bachelor of Education at Brock University. She has strong skills in communication, listening, empathy and patience. Her goal to ensure all her students reach their maximum potential. Math is a passion for her so making it fun for others is what she aims for.

Michael R.

Mr. Ritter has a Masters in Teaching & Learning from McGill University to go along with his Biology & Sciences background. Teaching has been a career change for Mr. Ritter, and so he also comes with lots of life experiences, which helps him relate and connect to students and the course material. Mr. Ritter certainly has a love for learning and specifically a passion for the sciences, which he strives to instill into his students.

Makenzi Mellon is professional, positive, and engaging Teacher Candidate with 4+ years of experience working in a variety of unique educational settings. Makenzi’s philosophy focuses on inclusivity and differentiated instruction within the classroom in a way that allows her students to be successful. Makenzi graduated my Bachelor’s of Education in July from Queen’s University and plans on tutoring this year to expand her portfolio before entering the teaching workforce!
