AMMA O.

Amma is a primary teacher who obtained her Bachelor of Education from York University in 2014. Amma is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is currently with the Toronto District School Board. Amma enjoys working with students in the primary grades on all subjects. Amma believes in the importance of building a solid relationship with her students and families for student academic achievement. In addition to teaching, Amma is currently finishing her computer science degree at Algoma University. She enjoys drumming and coding in python.

AMANDEEP K.

Amandeep holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with teachables in Mathematics and Economics – and a Master’s degree in Mathematics. She has taught math extensively in both Canada and in India. Most recently, Amandeep has taught senior level math with a center-based tutoring company in the GTA. When not helping students to love math, Amandeep loves to cook and enjoys reading.

URHAI B.

Urhai Bahram is an Occasional Teacher with the York Catholic District School Board and is OCT qualified. She has been working as a classroom teacher for 3 years, and has additional experience as an educational assistant for students with multiple exceptionalities. She graduated from York University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology and in 2017 with a Bachelor of Education. She also holds Additional Qualifications in Special Education Part 1, Teaching Students With Communications Disorders, Mathematics Part 1, Kindergarten Part 1, Reading Part 1 and Drama Part 1. Urhai’s journey in education has always seemed effortless to her as she loves making a difference in children’s lives. Teaching is a way of serving communities and delivering an inclusive curriculum to all, which Urhai strives to do through relationship building with students and families. Some of the things she enjoys doing are going for walks, watching TV shows and dancing.

ANNA R.

Anna holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Chemistry, and has more than 20 years of teaching experience. She likes children and wants to help them grow and succeed. She believes in an individualized approach to teaching, making a connection with her students to address their specific learning style.

Anna likes travelling, camping, visiting museums, reading, and writing children’s books and poetry. She is also a published author! Her poems *Canada Day Party*, *Quarantine! You Are In*, and *A Wildlife Concerto* were selected by Polar Expressions Publishing to be among the top entries in their 2019, 2020, and 2021 Annual National Poetry Competitions, respectively. These poems were published in the *Patterns, Broadcast,* and *Behold* Collections of Canadian Poetry archived in Ottawa. She has also self-published 30 children’s books.

Ashley P.

Ashley is a full time teacher with a local school board. Her areas of qualification are Social Science, Business and French at the Intermediate/Senior levels. Having attended French Immersion, she is also fluent in French and has worked as a French tutor since 2012.

Prior to pursuing a career in Education, Ashley spent 5 years in the Marketing and Advertising industry working on campaigns for Bell Mobility, BMO and Toyota. Her degree in Education has allowed her to combine her passion for Business with that of teaching. For Ashley, there is no greater reward than watching her students learn, grow and excel, both in school and in life.

Outside of the classroom, Ashley enjoys playing and watching sports, working as a hockey referee, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies.

JOANNE N.

Joanne is an OCT certified teacher and experienced tutor offering tutoring for mathematics grades 9-11, science grades 9-10 and Biology. In her spare time, Joanne is a bee keeper and makes honey.

SAILATHA S.

Sailatha is an OCT certified teacher. She has been teaching for 10 years now. Sailatha is very much familiar with the Ontario curriculum. Sailatha is a life long learner who is constantly seeking to upgrade her skills. Sailatha also has her special education certificate.

NATASHA M.

Natasha graduated from Brock University in 2016 with an Honours degree in English Language and Literature, and a Bachelor of Education. She then completed her Master’s degree in Education to further explore her passion for teaching, literature, learning and empathy. She also has experience with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) and differentiated learning strategies. Her previous work as a teaching assistant at the university level equips her with knowledge and skills to nurture critical thinking skills in an engaging and meaningful way. She enjoys working with students of all ages and backgrounds. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, cooking amateur gourmet meals and spending time with her friends and family.
