KIM S.

I have a Bachelor of Science (honors) degree with a major in Biology and minors in both Chemistry and Math, as well as a Bachelor of Education, both from Brandon University.

I am a newly retired Biology/Science teacher – teaching most of my incredibly successful 32 year career at a single public high school in Winnipeg. I have taught the current Science 20F, Biology 30S and Biology 40S curricula since their inception and would consider myself an expert teacher of these courses. Although my school did not offer AP Biology as an option, I have tutored students such that they could challenge the College Board AP Biology exam and score 4’s and 5’s. I have also mentored students with their award-winning science fair projects and can provide sound advice in the area of study skills.

One of my greatest joys is watching students learn and achieve their academic goals. I am a calm, patient educator and am able to easily build trusting relationships with my students.
