Alan is a retired elementary teacher with 26 years of classroom teaching experience. Alan attained his BA with a Fine Art Major in 1987 from the University of Guelph and in 1990 received his B Ed from the University of Toronto. He is a father of three grown children and lives with his wife of 33 years in Mississauga. He is able to teach all subjects in the Ontario curriculum and has a wide range of knowledge and instructional strategies that he has developed over the years. He is able to utilize on line platforms for distance learning. His hobbies include golf, crossword puzzles, playing the piano and cooking.

Amber is a passionate programmer with an academic background in computer science. She loves programming teaching others about computer science. Amrit is a behavior therapist and tutor who graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Arts, major in Criminology and minor in Counselling. She grew up in Surrey British Columbia and is fluent in 3 languages. Back in BC, Amrit had been tutoring kids for over 12 years in all subjects for grades K-12. Over the past two and a half years, she has also acquired experience working with kids ages 2-10 with ASD as well as ADHD. It was through her work as a behavior therapist in both centers and homes that Amrit discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. As the lead behavior therapist on all her teams, she got the opportunity to not only implement behavior plans but because she often worked the most one-on-one with the child, she was also often given the opportunity to come up with her own programs to implement to help the child to farther succeed as well as work alongside a BCBA to come up with entirely new plans. Upon graduation, Amrit moved to Toronto to be with her family and further pursue her passion for working with young children and guiding them to reach their full potential. Ananya graduated in 2022 from the University of Guelph with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. During her time at UofG, she tutored over 100 students in Trigonometry, Functions, Calculus, and Linear Algebra. She also served as the Academic Cluster Leader for Computer Science and Engineering, where she mentored 40 first-year students and provided vital academic support. Ananya is a proud recipient of the Convocation Excellence Award, recognizing her exceptional academic achievements and contributions. Her own journey from struggling with math in Grade 9 to developing a passion for solving it has profoundly influenced her tutoring approach. Angela Erskine Cranston is an Ontario Certified Teacher, Child and Youth Practitioner, Fine Arts painter.

She grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. After finishing high school, Angela attended the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Preforming Arts where she completed a Diploma in Painting and Printmaking. She then attended the Mico University College where she completed a Diploma in teaching. Angela taught Visual Arts at the intermediate/senior division in Jamaica before moving to the Turks and Caicos Islands. While still in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Angela jumped at the opportunity when it came for her to teach in the primary/junior division. She taught grade 4 literacy for 4 years.

Through these experiences in and aboard, Angela developed a passion for teaching and working with special needs children. This propelled her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care at the Humber College, Toronto. After receiving her Bachelors, she decided to go one step further to completing her Master’s in Education with a specialization in special education at the Walden University, Minnesota.

Presently, Angela works for the School Board. She supports the improvement of students with special needs as well as students in the general education classroom. She believes in engaging and building strong healthy relationships with children, youth, and their family.

In Angela’s spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time with family. Angela also enjoys painting and exhibiting her artworks in galleries. Asha has experience teaching students across various age groups and strongly believes in differentiating the lesson to fit the needs of her students. Aside from teaching, Asha loves reading, exploring new food spots and trails, and spending time with her friends and family.

Ayesha is an enthusiastic second year Systems Design Engineering and Physics student at the University of Waterloo with 5+ years of experience in teaching math and physics to students from Grades 1-12 with various learning abilities. Benoit is a dedicated educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, specializing in French instruction for students from kindergarten through grade 12, with a focus on the elementary years. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, where he studied French and Human Kinetics and played rugby, Benoit brings a rich academic and athletic background to his teaching. Having lived in France with his grandparents and cousins, he has developed a deep cultural and linguistic appreciation that he brings into the classroom. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, Benoit connects with a broad range of students. Outside of teaching, he enjoys building Lego with his two sons and exploring science and astronomy. Camille is an Ontario Certified Teacher, qualified to teach at the primary, junior, and intermediate levels. She completed her teacher education in Jamaica, however, she has taught in Ontario for over 10 years. Camille is currently working with the Peel District School board. Her teaching/tutoring style is very student-centered, and she meets students where they are academically, and then works with them to achieve their highest potential. Camille thoroughly enjoys working with students to meet and overcome any challenges they may have in language, math, or French.

Carla Lewis is a certified teacher in Ontario and grew up in Mississauga. After graduating with liberal arts at Wilfred Laurier University, she decided to move into teaching as she found that was something she was passionate in. Children loved interacting with her and she loved being around children! Carla has gone to school, learned and strived to teach with the end in mind and with her heart as she is teaching in her own grade 8 classroom where she has the opportunity to learn and be an influence to young minds! Carmel Youkhana completed her Bachelor of Education at Nipissing University in April 2022. Prior to this, she attended Wilfrid Laurier University where she enjoyed completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Throughout her teenage years, Carmel loved working at various summer camps and tutored English, which is where her passion for working with children began. As she continued to take on teaching roles during her university career, she realized her love for education and learning. For the past year and a half, Carmel has had the pleasure of teaching English to international students ages 3-12 through an online learning platform. My name is Daniel. I am qualified to teach Grades K – 12. My teachable subject areas include the Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Law. I also hold additional qualifications in special education (I have my special education specialist), religion, and autism. I have taught a diverse range of subjects. I have experience working with students in the Moderate Communication Program and the Planning for Independence Program in the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. Eden is in her fourth year of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program at McMaster University, specializing in Marketing and Economics. She’s currently on a 16-month internship, gaining hands-on business experience working for a large corporation. Along with her business experience, Eden has a passion for teaching and helping students. Her passion began in high school where she spent her summers camp counseling. In university, she got involved as a student representative where she coached incoming first-year students and ensured they felt comfortable in their academics and in their transition from high school. This continued passion led Eden to take experiential learning-based courses at McMaster where she got to work firsthand with youth of all ages. Through these courses, Eden was taught how to adapt to different learning styles and create workshops designed to engage students virtually. Haisam is an Ontario Certified Teacher. He grew up in the Middle East, and moved to Canada when he was 14. He completed his schooling and attained his Bachelors of Science and Education from Western University and U of T in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Having worked as a high school teacher since 2016, from private schools such as Blyth Academy and Burlington Royal Arts Academy, and several international high schools while abroad in the U.K., followed by securing a position as a teacher within the York Region and Simcoe County district school boards where he works currently, Haisam feels that his past work experience would make him an ideal candidate to provide one on one instruction as a high school tutor. Iqbal graduated in Physics in 2001 and obtained his Master’s degree in Aerospace Science from the University of Toronto in 2015. He taught Physics at High School level for 5 years before migrating to Canada where he worked in the corporate world while doing Physics tutoring.

Jocelyn is a fourth year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Guelph with a passion for teaching children and helping them grow into the best versions of themselves. After completing her undergraduate degree, Jocelyn will be heading to Teacher’s College to pursue her career as an Elementary School Teacher. Jocelyn is an outgoing, personable, and studious individual who enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outside, going to the gym, traveling, and trying new food! Recently Jocelyn spent 4 months working as an Emergency Supply Teacher for the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, where she covered and taught classes from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Since Jocelyn was situated at one school, she felt that she was able to learn and adapt to the different teaching needs and styles of the children and how to make them feel comfortable with her. Jocelyn was also an after-school tutor at the elementary school which gave her another opportunity to support the improvement of students’ math skills, reading, writing, and vocabulary. Julia has a Masters of Science in Psychology, with a focus on Applied Behaviour Analysis from Capella University, is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and is a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists in Ontario. She has experience supervising and working with clients between the ages of 4-17 with ASD and developmental disabilities on a variety of academic, social and life skills, as well as behaviour management strategies for clients and their families. She has experience with staff and parent training and loves to help families meet their goals!

Keith earned his Bachelor of Education from Brock University and spent three years teaching before shifting his focus to Jake’s House Charity, where he now supports individuals with autism. He is qualified to teach across primary, junior, and intermediate divisions and is adept in all subjects. Keith originally completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, majoring in kinesiology. With a deep passion for fostering student learning, Keith is dedicated to making education both engaging and enjoyable, aiming to inspire life-long learning in his students. Lindsay graduated from the Concurrent Education program at Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies and a Bachelor of Education in the primary and junior divisions. Since then, she has obtained additional qualifications to enhance her practice in Reading and Mathematics along with to teach Intermediate English, Special Education, English as a Second Language.

Lindsay has experience in Canadian classrooms teaching Math, Language, Science, Social Studies and the Arts in Grades 1 through 8. She has also taught and tutored in Namibia, Peru and China.

Lindsay uses her passion and enthusiasm towards teaching and learning to establish a positive learning environment with her students. She believes an environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are respected is one that will promote success in each child’s learning. Currently serving as an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) my educational journey began at the University of Toronto, where I earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, followed by further studies at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, culminating in the achievement of my Bachelor of Education degree. Currently holding certifications in Math Primary/Junior (Specialist), Teaching English Language Learners (Part 1 and 2, Specialist in progress), Reading (Part 1), and Special Education (Part 1), I am equipped with a comprehensive skill set to provide personalized and effective tutoring.

Meenu has over ten years of tutoring and teaching experience mathematics to university, college and high school students. She possesses a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Bachelor’s degree with Physics, Chemistry and Math as major and Ontario College of teacher’s certification for senior Mathematics. She holds great knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum in the science and mathematics areas as she has been a summer school teacher and a tutor at many post-secondary schools in Toronto. She is a flexible and organized professional with an unparalleled ability to explain complicated concepts in an easily understandable manner. Her one-to-one tutoring strategy prepare student ahead of class so that student feel confident and encouraged to participate actively in classroom discussion. Her experience allows her to carefully select questions, where most students make common mistakes, preparing them for possible evaluation questions. Through her teaching and mentoring experience at Pathways to Education, she is exposed to students of many different backgrounds, and has developed the ability to build a personal connection with them.

Mustansir is a 4th year Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo. He grew up in Pakistan, and moved to Waterloo in 2019 to start his undergraduate degree. He speaks 2 languages; English and Urdu fluently. Throughout high school, Mustansir has had experience with teaching. He used to tutor his peers and juniors in Mathematics and sometimes Physics. During his time at university, Mustansir continued tutoring, although not in a professional capacity. He just wanted to help his friends and juniors with the courses they were having trouble with. He’s generous like that.

Mustansir is planning to graduate in May 2024 and wants to pursue a career in software development. He is enrolled in a co-op program and has completed 3 internships, the last of which gave him the opportunity to work in person in Tokyo, Japan for 4 months, during the Fall Term. And yes, this was an incredible amount of fun. Finally, his interests include go-karting, Formula 1, speed cubing, chess, volleyball, and table tennis.

Nazia is an ECE and she grew up in Pakistan and then moved to Bahrain.  She travelled around the world and finished her postgraduate education at the University of Nottingham. Later, she moved to Canada and pursued her career as an Early childhood Educator.  She has worked with all age groups, from kindergarten to high school. Currently she is working in the Peel District School board and works with children with autism, learning difficulties and developmental disabilities at the high school level.  She has several years of tutoring experience.  She believes all children are gifted in their style and need support to reach their full potential. She provides interactive lesson plans, videos, games and worksheets. In her free time, she spends time with her children and friends. She loves to travel and enjoys cooking.

Sabila graduated from Western University with a major in Financial Modelling. She has several years of experience tutoring students in Math and English. Sabila is passionate about teaching and working with students. She strives to make a positive impact on students by using various learning strategies in order to better help them understand concepts and solve problems.

Sally graduated from Princeton University with honours, where she studied English Literature with a minor in Global Health & Health Policy. She subsequently pursued pre-medical sciences training at Columbia University, before obtaining a Master of Philosophy in Health, Medicine, and Society at the University of Cambridge. She lives between Cambridge (UK) and Toronto, where she works with students & families as a private tutor and admissions consultant.

Salomé is currently completing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, following an academic path that includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Comparative Literature and Philosophy (University of Montreal), with a specialization in Ancient Greek and Latin. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Salomé is passionate and has built a reputation for excellence in education and scholarship.

Native French speaker and fluent in English, Salomé effectively engages with a diverse range of students and contributes to a rich, global academic environment.

Samar Ismail is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a passion for reading, writing, and stories. She has an undergraduate degree in English and Political Science, and a postgraduate in Journalism. Her love of travelling has also led her to teach English as a Foreign Language in Mexico, online to children in China, and to Cambridge, UK where she was a teacher’s assistant. These experiences inspired her to obtain her Bachelor of Education and help students discover their unique strengths and abilities. Samar is dedicated to ongoing professional development and has already completed her Primary ABQ, and she is set to start her Senior English ABQ this fall. Outside of her profession, Samar enjoys regular exercise, reading, and baking.

Samran is a passionate and dedicated Ontario Certified Teacher with seven years of rich teaching experience, both locally and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English Literature and Creative Writing from York University, followed by a Bachelor of Education, where he specialized in English. His ongoing commitment to professional development led him to further specialize in ESL, Special Education, and Reading, culminating in a Master of Arts in English Literature and a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing from York University. Driven by his deep love for learning and teaching, Samran’s journey naturally steered him toward Special Education and literacy remediation. His focus lies in supporting students who face unique challenges within public schools. At his previous school, Samran taught in an intensive literacy intervention class, where his expertise helped bridge achievement gaps ranging from one to five years. He firmly believes that every child has the potential for success, regardless of their circumstances, and that building meaningful rapport is key to making students feel valued and capable.

Samran strives to create engaging, student-centered learning environments where each lesson is infused with student interests and strengths. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of providing timely, meaningful feedback that fosters academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. Over the years, Samran has worked with students across a spectrum of exceptionalities, including ASD, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, OCD, Tourette Syndrome, and more. He has also earned eight additional qualifications in Special Education, ESL, Reading, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Outside the classroom, Samran’s passion for creativity and learning continues. He is an avid reader, a creative writer, and runs a small Etsy shop where he sells prints of his original artwork. He also stays active by going to the gym and playing badminton.

Sara is an experienced, certified Core French teacher, with qualifications to teach students in the Junior and Intermediate divisions. She earned her Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University, and has a certified teachable in French. Sara is currently working as an Elementary Core French teacher, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion for this language with all her students. Sara completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto, with focuses on English Literature, French, and Media Studies. Sara has an abundance of experience working with Junior and Intermediate students to help them explore and progress their new learning. Sara believes that the best and most effective learning environment for students is welcoming, encourages lots and lots of questions, and prizes students for taking risks. She is a passionate and caring educator who is eager to create a learning experience tailored to meet the needs of any student.

Satwinder is an Ontario Certified Teacher, holding a Bachelor of Science degree, followed by a Bachelor of Education, specializing in the Primary/Junior grade levels. Additionally, Satwinder has taken an Additional Qualification in Special Education, Reading and Environmental science and consistently participates in educational workshops to further her knowledge.
Satwinder currently works as a permanent teacher with Peel District School Board with an extensive 15 years of experience in teaching children and adult’s from several cultural communities. She also has exemplary communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Satwinder has been the coordinator for the Summer Literacy Camp for ten years which is hosted by Council of Directors of Ontario, where she coordinated the day-to-day program implementation by supporting staff to determine the best possible strategies to ensure high quality and engaging literacy and numeracy programs, recreational activities, collection of research data and overall well being of the students.

Shannon has dedicated 11 years to teaching mathematics in secondary schools. Originally from the United States, she moved to Australia during her teenage years, where she pursued her education with enthusiasm. Shannon completed a combined Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics—simply for the joy of it—and philosophy—because she had the opportunity. Her passion for philosophy led her to further her studies, culminating in a Master’s Degree. She then rounded out her formal education by earning a Graduate Diploma of Education in Secondary Mathematics Teaching.

Shannon views mathematics as a powerful lens through which to understand the world, and her teaching philosophy revolves around helping students access this perspective. Her engaging approach not only demystifies mathematical concepts but also inspires a love for the subject. Outside of her professional life, Shannon has a playful side; she often finds herself humming catchy tunes from the ’90s and enjoys playing the “ten game” with bus numbers during her commutes. She also has plans to put her new pair of jogging shoes to good use, reflecting her belief in maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle. Through her multifaceted interests, Shannon embodies a vibrant blend of intellect and creativity, making her a dynamic presence both in and out of the classroom.

She holds a Bachelor of Education through York university in the primary and junior divisions, as well as additional qualifications to teach all subjects of the intermediate division, Special Education and Physical Education.
Shannon is a proud teacher for the Peel District School Board, having taught Kindergarten through Grade 8, she currently teaches in the primary division, adapting her teaching methods and materials to meet her students’ varying needs and interest, focusing on development of critical literacy and numeracy skills. Shannon promotes mental, social, and physical development in her students and encourages them to be “their best self” through her support of classroom and school wide student involvement. When she is not teaching in the classroom, Shannon is helping students build their confidence and skills through her leadership of various teams, clubs and committees such as Chess Club, Basketball Team, Asian Heritage Committee, Recycling Club, and Lego Robotics Club to name a few.

Aspiring CPA, Tejas is training for post-graduation in professional accounting at Humber College. If numbers scare you, then he can be your go-to person for help. Finance, accounting, and business management are his forte. He finds that too much information overwhelms students which hinders understanding some simple concepts. And some textbooks are very dry to understand something challenging. Tejas’ approach to tutoring is to clarify concepts with simplicity and real business case scenarios. Whether it’s an assignment or a homework problem question he can assist the student at their pace of learning. He was a peer-assisted learning volunteer in the second year of his under-graduation. It was then that he realized that he enjoys teaching his friends and students in college. Tejas is easy-going, and inquisitive to learn and solve problems. He also has some cool study tips and tricks that he would be happy to share, which helped him score high grades throughout his high school and university. Besides academia and work life Tejas is an animal and nature lover. He has an adorable pet dog. He is a yoga practitioner, dancer and a trained yoga teacher from India.

With work experience of 2 years at a young Kombucha startup prior to his master’s education. Tejas gathered hands-on learning in accounting and operations in the food and beverage industry. It was his financial acumen that drew him to the field of accounting and pursue CPA in Canada. He has a bachelor’s in business management with a specialization in Finance from Mumbai University. He got third rank in the batch with a CGPA of 9.61. For his secondary education, he went to a boarding school where he followed Cambridge University board curriculum (IGCSE) and was a part of the student council as a cultural head. He got 90% aggregate in his high school.

Vishesh is a third-year Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo with experience tutoring math, physics, and computer science. He believes that learning can be fascinating with a supportive environment and guidance that complements your learning style.

Yash is currently a student at the University of Toronto. He is studying statistics and computer science and is completing his bachelor of science degree. Yash graduated secondary school as an honor roll student and shortly after started his teaching career. Yash has worked as a summer camp teacher in Peel District School Board where he taught the basics of programming to middle school students. Shortly after starting University, he started tutoring math and computer science to high school students. Yash believes in engaging students during tutoring lessons and focuses on problem solving so that students are able to develop a thorough understanding of the material. Additionally, Yash also likes to work out, play recreational sports and watch shows on Netflix. In his future career, he aspires to be a machine learning engineer (similar to the people that made ChatGPT).

Zoya is a fourth-year student in the Medical Science program at the University of Western Ontario and is planning on completing a minor in French.   She has over 4 years of tutoring experience in high school and elementary level science and french and is very passionate about teaching. Zoya is enthusiastic and organized and believes that patience and understanding that each individual learns differently is the key to seeing students succeed.
