SPYROS K.
Spyros has been teaching at the high school and university level since September of 2020. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computational Mathematics from York University and a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. His primary research focus was on mathematical modeling in nanotechnology. His educational experience includes holding tutorials and math labs as a tutorial instructor, supporting students in first and second-year university courses, as well as those needing to fill gaps in their high school math knowledge. He uses real-world examples to make abstract mathematical concepts more understandable. Outside of teaching, he enjoys cycling and reading. His teaching philosophy emphasizes interactive dialogue to help students develop confidence and a strong grasp of the material.

RICHARD C.
Richard is an Ontario Certified Teacher qualified to teach biology and chemistry from grades 7 to 12. He has a BEd from York University, and has experience from his teaching practicums teaching science from grades 7 to 12 in schools in the Toronto District School Board, as well as tutoring individual students in science and math. He has also worked in an alternative school, supporting students with IEPs.
Richard came into teaching after a career as a healthcare and research scientist in England, including a PhD in protein chemistry, and brings a wealth of first hand scientific experience into his teaching. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge for science, and supporting his students holistically.

Sanmi is a dynamic, innovative and patient Math tutor with an overall experience of 7 years teaching grades 5 – 12, specializing in high school grades. She has helped numerous students build their confidence about the subject in achieving the desired goals. After completing her Master’s of Engineering (Civil Engineering) from the University of Mumbai, she moved to Dubai, U.A.E where she was introduced to the field of teaching and her childhood passion translated to her profession. She worked as a tutor as well as a classroom teacher in Dubai where she received immense appreciation from parents during Parent – Teacher meetings and from her students for engaging and interactive lessons. Two years ago, she moved to Toronto, Canada where she has been working as an in-person as well as an online Math tutor. She has experience working with students of various nationalities and cognitive abilities. Her expertise lies in providing lessons tailored to match students’ learning pace. She finds satisfaction in helping students struggling with the subject and takes pride in their achievements. Apart from her love for Math, she loves music, dance, travelling and is a big foodie who loves exploring various cuisines. She will be a good mentor to any student seeking to improve their academic performance.
DJOHRA B .
Djohra is a dedicated and patient tutor who helps students build confidence and succeed in French and Mathematics from Grade 1 to Grade 8. She teaches in French and adapts each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and individual needs.
With several years of tutoring and teaching experience, Djohra has worked with students of different ages and academic levels. She has experience supporting students in Alberta and Quebec, giving her a strong understanding of French-language learning in the Canadian school environment.
In Mathematics, she helps students strengthen their understanding of key concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and become more comfortable working independently. In French, she supports students with reading, writing, grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Djohra believes that every student can progress when concepts are explained clearly and at the right pace. Her teaching approach is patient, encouraging, structured, and supportive. She takes the time to identify where a student is struggling, explains concepts step by step, and provides practice to reinforce learning.
Djohra also brings a strong academic background to her teaching. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics and Applied Economics and holds graduate degrees in Actuarial Studies and Quantitative Finance, as well as an Engineering degree in Statistics.
Her goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them gain confidence, develop strong learning habits, and feel proud of their progress.
MARAL G.
Maral has a master’s degree in civil engineering and gained extensive professional experience in the civil engineering field. Alongside her engineering background, she has years of experience tutoring mathematics across various grade levels. Tutoring students to achieve exceptional exam results is her goal. Maral believes students need to feel confident in their work and knows how to approach problems from multiple perspectives.
Maral offers both in-person and online tutoring, possessing adeptness with platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and others.
Brian N.
Brian N. is a current teacher at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute and Baccalaureate School (IB Program) in Kitchener, Ontario. He currently teaches grade 9, 10 and 12 math at the school, but has tutored and is comfortable with all Ontario mathematics content (JK- Calculus, IB and beyond!). His qualifications are as follows: Primary, Junior, Intermediate Senior Division Teachable, as well as Intermediate Mathematics and History, as well as Senior qualifications in Music. He is eager to come along side the PAT team and help students.

Arvin Z. is an OCT-certified teacher with a passion for fostering a love of learning in students. With a Master of Arts in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies, a Bachelor of Education specializing in Elementary Education in Artist in Community Education, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a specialization in Computing and Film, Arvin brings a rich and diverse educational background to the classroom.
Arvin has extensive experience in tutoring students from grades 2 to 9, excelling in subjects such as Math, Literacy, and Computing. As a seasoned educator, she skillfully integrates her expertise in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies, Art, and Computing into her teaching, providing students with a holistic and creative approach to learning.
Additionally, Arvin holds a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate, reflecting her commitment to effective communication and language development. Her dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, as she has lectured in Computing and Film Theory courses at the university level. Nisarg B.
Nisarg B. is a graduate student at Wilfrid Laurier University, pursuing his Master’s in Applied Computing right after obtaining his Bachelor’s in Information and Communication technology and minors in Computational Science. Having worked as a teaching assistant during his third and fourth year of bachelors, he discovered his skill and passion in teaching and spreading his perspective of all the knowledge he had.
In a world where most people find boredom in technicalities, mathematics and sciences, he instead finds joy in discovering how these core truths hide everywhere around in nature and just require a different perspective to be spotted.

Israel R.
Israel is OCT Certified Teacher with an Honours Bachelor of Science from McMaster University! He Majored in Mathematics and Statistics (Mathematics Concentration) with a Minor in Physics and Astronomy. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University with Junior/Intermediate Qualifications. He obtained further Senior Qualifications with a concentration on Mathematics and Law at OISE as well as Special Education Qualifications from York!
He has a passion for mathematics for many years and hopes to help break down barriers to make math more accessible! While understanding that content is of utmost importance, he believes that culturally responsive teaching and a Universal Design of Learning is essential to the success of all students. A core tenet of his philosophy is:
“it is OK not to like Math (or any subject for that matter), as long as you leave knowing that you can work towards your own version of success!”
