Jessica has completed her Honours Bachelor of Science Kinesiology degree from McMaster University, and is currently attending Ontario Tech University to gain her OCT certification in the Primary/Junior division. Jessica has always loved working with children! Over the years, she has gained ample experience working with children of all ages as a summer camp counsellor, and has developed a wide array of strategies to foster a safe and caring educational environment for children through her numerous client-facing job experiences. As an educator, she aims to boost self-confidence in order to achieve academic excellence.

In her free time, Jessica is a homebody – she loves to relax at home with a nice show and snacks. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

BEN Y.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (with a concentration in Mathematics and Data Science) and is currently pursuing advanced studies in Data Analytics at SAIT. Having worked with numerous students across Calgary through multiple top tutoring agencies, he brings a deep, practical familiarity with the local curriculum.

Whether your child needs to boost their grades, catch up on foundational concepts, or master advanced problem-solving, Ben tailors his approach to elevate each student’s current learning level. Bilingual in English and French, he combines strong analytical expertise with a warm, encouraging teaching style to help students build lasting confidence in math, French and science.

Zi is an OCT certified Math, Business, and Coding teacher with 5+ years of classroom and online teaching experience (ESL, Math, Canadian & Singapore Curriculum). She is passionate about helping her students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and overall enjoy the learning process. Her goal for every class is to create a safe space where her students feel encouraged, positive, and comfortable to ask any questions or raise any concerns. She loves reading and playing video games.

PAOLA S.

Paola is a seasoned educator with a heart for helping students thrive. With over 25 years of experience in education, she has a strong background in Special Education, Reading Education, ELL, and FSL instruction. Paola has taught children one on one and in small groups for more than 15 years. Paola has also worked to develop IEP’s with students and parents.

After a successful teaching career, Paola has decided to pursue her passion for teaching by transitioning into tutoring. She still loves teaching but wants to focus on providing personalized support to children with diverse needs. Paola has a warm and welcoming personality that shines through in her approach to teaching, creating safe and supportive environments where students feel valued and motivated to learn. She believes in fostering a love for learning in each of her students.

In addition to her teaching experience, Paola has a rich personal life. She has traveled extensively and lived overseas. When she’s not teaching, Paola enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her adorable Aussie Shepherd puppy, swimming, and hiking. She also loves to cook and create a warm and inviting home for her friends and family. Paola’s passion for education and student success is evident in everything she does.

Mary Z.

Mary is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a Bachelor of Education from Tyndale University. She has taught Grades 3–5 in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and York Region District School Board (YRDSB), and previously taught Grades 1–2 in an international school in China. With over seven years of combined teaching and educational experience, she brings strong instructional expertise to her work with learners from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Mary specializes in creating supportive, engaging, and student-centered learning environments. She is highly skilled in differentiated instruction, assessment for/as learning, and culturally responsive practices. Her teaching experience includes working with English language learners and students with diverse academic needs, ensuring each child receives personalized guidance.

Mary is proficient in educational technologies such as Google Workspace, Seesaw, ClassDojo, Canva, and Himama, which she uses to enhance communication, track progress, and support interactive learning.

As both an educator and a parent of two young children, Mary understands the importance of patience, consistency, and strong home–school partnerships. She is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop effective learning strategies.

Mary offers tutoring in Math from Kindergarten to Grade 8, and Literacy and general academics from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

RIELLY M.

Rielly graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, where she was also a member of the swim team. She completed her teaching internship in a 3rd grade classroom in Miami before moving to Stockholm, Sweden, where she taught 6th and 7th grade math for two years. Rielly holds a New York State teaching certificate and is currently in the process of becoming OCT Certified. Known for her patience, creativity, and genuine love of helping children succeed, she creates a positive and motivating learning environment tailored to each child’s needs. Outside of teaching, Rielly enjoys weekends at the cottage, exploring new coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. And in case you’re wondering, yes – she really does get excited about algebra.

JOSEF S.

Josef Stetter is an Ontario educator and Assistant Curriculum Leader for Business and Co-op at Georges Vanier Secondary School, known for inclusive, real-world teaching that meets learners where they are. He holds a B.Ed. from Lakehead University and a B.A. in Economics from York University, along with wide-ranging Additional Qualifications that equip him to teach most subjects across Grades 1 through 12, including Math, Science, all Business strands, Social Sciences (world religions, philosophy, psychology), Humanities, Geography, History, English and ESL, Life and Learning Skills, Public Speaking and Debate, and French. He has taught and tutored broadly across these areas and continues to coach learners of all ages. In his current role, Josef expanded Business SHSM participation and led a large DECA cohort to regional and provincial success and had one student win the world Championship in her category beating out 25,000 students, while supervising diverse co-op placements that help students connect class to careers. Josef has lived in five countries and speaks English, French, Hebrew, and Spanish, and he makes learning lively by linking lessons to student interests such as video games, sports, photography, and travel.

Danicka C.

Danicka has a Master’s degree in Child Study and Education from the University of Toronto. She majored in French Studies with a minor in Sociology from York University’s Glendon Campus. Danicka has taught in international school settings across Canada, England, Portugal, and France, and brings over 5 years of teaching experience. She is familiar with the IB curriculum, UK National Curriculum, French National Curriculum, and the Ontario Curriculum. She has a specialization in teaching French as a Second Language and enjoys working with learners of all abilities and backgrounds. She is also fluent in four languages; English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Aside from teaching, Danicka enjoys travelling, fitness classes, photography, and web design.
