Hi! My name is Breanna and I am currently in my gap year before going back to University to finish my Bachelor of Education! I have experience tutoring high school math (a subject I love!) as well as helping friends and my brother throughout the years with their homework. Hi there! I am a 21 year-old education student at the University of Winnipeg with a major in English and a minor in child development. Shayla is currently a student at the University of Manitoba working towards her Bachelor of Education in the early years stream. Shayla has lots of experience working with children through practicum and summer jobs. She believes that making meaningful connections with students and their caregivers is essential and contributes to each child’s success. Her number one goal is to make all her students feel successful and have fun throughout their learning journey.

Ruth C-S.

Ruth is an elementary school teacher with over 10 years of experience, including learning support. Passionate about finding innovative ways to unlock concepts for learners, she focuses on celebrating and building upon each student’s unique strengths.

Ruth is originally from New Zealand, and now calls Squamish home, drawn to its stunning geography and of course, the donuts. In her spare time, you can find Ruth in or on the water, hiking with her family dog, or drinking great coffee.

Michael B.

Michael Bucys is a dedicated and experienced educator with a Masters of Teaching Degree from OISE and a B.A from Queen’s University. He is an Ontario Certified Teacher with additional qualifications in Special Education, Mathematics, and Kindergarten, and is also trained in the Sounds-Write literacy program and Responsive Classroom approach.

Michael brings a wealth of experience from his current role as a Grade 3 teacher where he designs engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons and supports a diverse range of learners. He has also worked extensively as a private tutor for students in Grades 1–8, providing personalized instruction in math, language, and science to help students build confidence and achieve academic success.

With a warm and supportive approach, Michael prioritizes relationship-building and differentiation, ensuring that every student feels seen, supported, and challenged.

In his free time, Michael loves to golf, play volleyball or go on long walks with his dog.

LAURA R.

Laura Roberts is a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers and has spent over 20 years teaching in the Toronto District School Board. With a Special Education Specialist designation, Laura brings deep expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, and mild intellectual disabilities. Her career includes extensive experience teaching in an Intensive Support Autism Program, as well as in inclusive classroom settings.

As a mother of two children, ages 6 and 9, who both faced early reading challenges, Laura has a personal and professional understanding of how to support struggling readers. She is well-versed in evidence-based reading interventions and is passionate about helping children build strong literacy foundations in a way that supports their confidence and love of learning.

Outside the classroom, Laura enjoys playing guitar, traveling with her children, and embracing her role as a lifelong learner. She believes that every child can thrive with the right support and strives to create a warm, engaging environment where all learners feel seen, valued, and capable.

Sara V.

Sara is a Junior/Intermediate teacher candidate in her second year of the Bachelor of Education program at Wilfrid Laurier University. She previously earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier in 2021, with Health and Physical Education as her teachable subjects.

Her decision to pursue education stems from a commitment to fostering student success and creating inclusive learning environments. Inspired by the impactful educators in her own academic journey, she strives to support diverse learners through differentiated instruction and culturally relevant pedagogy.

With experience teaching Grades 3 to 8 through four practicum placements, Sara has been recognized for her professionalism, competency, and strong relationship-building skills. She is dedicated to continuous learning and growth, ensuring her teaching practices evolve to meet the needs of all students.

DUSTIN W.

Dustin is working to complete his Bachelor of Education at Mount Royal University. He specializes in Math and Science but is confident tutoring all subjects at the elementary level as well as his specialties in junior high. He has experience working with students in an elementary school setting and has volunteered as a peer tutor at Mount Royal University.
Dustin possesses strong patience, problem-solving, and communication skills. He believes that learners of all ages can succeed, especially when allowed to explore the content in a way that is best for them.
In addition to teaching, Dustin enjoys spending time with his family and playing hockey with his friends.

Camryn N.

Camryn is an Ontario Certified Teacher who is qualified to teach any subject ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 8. After completing her Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology and her Bachelor of Education, she has spent two years teaching, one abroad in the UK and one locally with the TDSB.
Camryn is an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about making learning enjoyable and accessible for all students and she believes that engagement is the key to unlocking potential. While she particularly enjoys guiding students through the wonders of literacy and science, she tries to integrate elements of drama, movement and music into her lessons when she can as she believes these creative avenues enrich understanding and foster a holistic love for learning. Above all, she is dedicated to fostering a secure and welcoming learning environment where every student, regardless of their background, feels cherished and honoured.
When she isn’t in the classroom, she loves to read (anything and everything), play basketball, go camping, spend time with her family and spoiling her adorable cat Ollie.

Hello! My name is Dianne and I recently graduated teachers college in 2023. I have worked with children for many years both in education and as a nanny. During my high school years, I tutored for my community service hours and during my university years I worked within different classrooms as well as a classroom tutor. I have experience from K-6 but can most definitely help with grade 7 and 8! I look forward to helping students achieve success in school!
