JOANNA R.
Joanna is a passionate, experienced tutor who supports kids with Math and Writing skills. She has a Graduate Diploma of Teaching from the University of Otago in New Zealand, and a Honours BA in Canadian Studies (Geography and History) from Trent University. She brings her background working in outdoor education, traditional classroom teaching and summer camps to her teaching approach. She has a special touch with students who suffer from ADHD and/or executive dysfunction with much experience providing them the support they need.
Christopher S.
Christopher S. is a teacher candidate at Western University. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He later finished his Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo where he studied the application of the CRISPR system in insect cells. Throughout his academic career, Christopher had the chance to teach many first-year engineering students where he realized that he had a passion for science communication. Christopher specializes in helping students learn math and science, and encourages students to think about how these subjects can relate to their everyday lives.
Jennifer O.
Jennifer O. has over two years of experience as an Assistant Professor, teaching remotely in Calgary, Alberta, and more than twenty years of experience as an Educational Assistant in London, Ontario. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, where she published her capstone paper on inclusive education, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology.
Jennifer takes a friendly and down-to-earth approach to teaching. She loves helping students build confidence in their ideas, think critically about the world around them, and make real-life connections between learning and social issues. With a background in social justice and the social sciences, she enjoys supporting students in sociology, psychology, and related fields.
She is currently working on an educational book that combines personal stories with lessons from her work in education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors with her dog, cooking, and relaxing with a good show.
Ricky F.
Ricky is a Teacher Candidate at Western University, he previously received his B.A. Sc and M.A. Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Ricky worked as a teaching assistant in engineering, chemistry, and programming classes throughout his undergraduate and graduate career. He is passionate about helping students in their academic journeys. Ricky knew from a young age that he was interested in becoming a teacher. He was involved in the robotics team and math club in high school, which are subjects he hopes to support as a full time teacher.
Outside of teaching, Ricky continues to expand his technical skills through personal programming projects across various fields of computer science. He enjoys applying computational thinking to real-world problems and integrating technology into learning experiences. Ricky is committed to lifelong learning and looks forward to guiding students not only toward academic success but also toward developing crucial critical thinking skills.

Didem is a passionate and results-driven educator with over 10 years of experience tutoring more than 200 students, ranging from elementary to senior level. Based in Metro Vancouver, she specializes in supporting students in developing critical reading, analytical writing, and communication skills for IB, AP, British Curriculum, and standardized test preparation, including the SAT, ACT, IELTS, and more. Didem holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the State University of New York and a TESOL teaching certification awarded with distinction. She has taught students worldwide through both in-person and online sessions, tailoring lessons to individual learning styles to improve confidence and academic performance. Monica is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where she earned an Honours BA in English and History with high distinction and a consistent place on the Dean’s Honour Roll. With two years of experience in museum education, Monica successfully developed engaging, inclusive, hands-on learning experiences that cater to diverse audiences. Monica is now continuing her education journey through Western University’s Teacher Education program, specializing in the Intermediate/Senior division. Monica has experience tutoring writing, reading, editing, and developing study skills in students from elementary to university levels.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-centred approach that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. She is passionate about empowering students to become confident learners who not only achieve academic success but also develop a love for the learning process. THOMAS J.
Thomas J. is an Ontario Certified Teacher. He grew up in Toronto, he studied at TMU (Ryerson) to complete an Undergraduate Degree in History. As well, he completed Bachelors of Education (Intermediate-Senior) and Masters of Education specializing in Social Justice Education at Lakehead University. Thomas grew up with a deep love of travel and took the opportunity to explore the world through his love of soccer, often watching as many games as he can while away, especially Fulham FC in London. When he decided to pursue teaching as a career Thomas emphasized dynamic learning, where the teacher and students engage in a mutual learning environment. It is through teaching that Thomas has been able to foster his love of history, social studies and language comprehension. During the summer Thomas teaches at Continuing Ed, encouraging students to prioritize using learning as a way to survey their post-secondary interests. In his spare time Thomas plays tennis and works one-on-one with children ranging from 6 years through high school. He has supported the improvement of their reading, writing, vocabulary and math skills. Thomas believes that by building a strong relationship with his students he is better able to meet their needs and grow their learning. This has been displayed at Caring and Safe Schools where Thomas was not only a teacher but a mentor in helping students develop socio-emotional skills and academic skills. Thomas sees every opportunity to continue to develop his skills for empowering students academically and through confidence.
Amanda B.
Amanda has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Literature at York University and is now beginning the Concurrent Education program to pursue her Bachelor of Education degree. She is specializing in English and Social Sciences, with a focus on working with middle and secondary school students.
Amanda understands that every child learns differently and believes tutoring should be supportive, motivating, and tailored to the individual. She takes the time to understand each student’s unique learning style, strengths, and challenges, and creates customized lessons to meet their needs. Parents can feel confident knowing Amanda combines her academic background with patience and creativity to help students build confidence, develop strong study skills, and achieve lasting success.
She is comfortable teaching all elementary and middle school subjects, and at the high school level she specializes in English, Social Sciences, and Math up to Grade 10. EN: Celina is a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA) with more than 8 years of experience working with neurodiverse individuals across the lifespan in daycares, homes, and schools. She has a bachelors in Psychology from McGill University and a Masters in Professional Education with a specialization in ABA from Western University of Ontario. She works closely with other professionals, and parents, to implement and disseminate a trauma-informed, compassionate, and learner-led ABA practice. Additionally, she provides parent coachings and trainings to professionals to further support her clients.
She is passionate about teaching, learning from, and collaborating with others to produce a global therapeutic approach.
