BEN Y.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems with a Mathematics and Data Science concentration and is currently studying Data Analytics at SAIT. With extensive tutoring experience across Canada, the US and UK, he excels at breaking down complex concepts and supporting students through clear, encouraging instruction. CORI E.

Cori E. is a seasoned language trainer and admissions consultant with over 15 years of teaching experience in academic and corporate English and French, as well as assisting with undergraduate, graduate, and private school applications (primary and high school). Born and raised in Montreal, she holds a B.A.in French/English Translation from Concordia University. Cori’s expertise lies in helping students through every facet of language development, including reading, writing and oral communication. In high school, Cori was fondly known as the “grammar queen,” a testament to her deep understanding of both the English and French language. In addition to language training and admissions consulting, Cori is also expert in preparing clients for both academic and job interviews, conducting tailored mock interviews and helping clients develop the most compelling responses to interview questions. She is passionate about her work, patient with her clients, and eager to help them achieve a high level of proficiency in English and/or French and attain their academic and professional goals. In her spare time, Cori enjoys crossword puzzles, online Scrabble, reading, current events, swimming, hiking and traveling.

Monica G.

Monica recently graduated from the University of Toronto, where she completed a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in French Language and Linguistics, and Economics.

Throughout her undergraduate degree, she participated in two French immersion programs through the Canadian government’s Explore program to further develop her language proficiency. Through these programs at the Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia and Université Laval in Québec, Monica not only enriched her French language skills but also deepened her understanding of Francophone culture across different provinces.

Monica is passionate about education and aspires to teach French at the high school level. Through her tutoring experience, she specializes in tutoring French students and new learners, where she shares her enthusiasm for language learning. She has always enjoyed working with children and has gained significant experience in this area over the years. Additionally, she volunteers with the Polish Scouting Association, working with children aged 4 to 18. Each summer, she spends two weeks with the organization leading youth on canoeing and backpacking trips through Algonquin Park, where participants develop teamwork, leadership, and outdoor skills. This experience has strengthened her ability to engage, mentor, and support children in diverse learning and developmental contexts. In her free time, Monica enjoys hiking, canoeing and travelling.

HAMZA S.

Hamza Sakr is a French immersion and elementary educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education (Dean’s List) and is currently completing his Bachelor of Education at St. Mary’s University. His academic success and extensive classroom experience have equipped him with strong instructional design, assessment, and student-engagement skills that consistently lead to measurable learning gains.

Hamza has worked with students across Calgary in Grades 1–6, specializing in literacy, numeracy, and French language development. As a student teacher, he supported Grade 6 students in preparing for standardized tests, strengthening study strategies, and building academic confidence. His approach blends structured lesson planning with differentiated instruction and formative assessment to ensure every learner progresses at their own pace.

Known for his calm, motivating presence, Hamza creates a classroom environment where students feel focused, capable, and encouraged to take intellectual risks. His teaching philosophy emphasizes goal-setting, reflective learning, and the development of strong study habits.

Fluent in English and French, Hamza integrates creativity, critical thinking, and language mastery into his lessons. His mission as a tutor is to help each student not only excel academically but also cultivate curiosity, resilience, and a lasting love of learning.

Laure B.

EN: Laure is currently in her first undergraduate year of a Bachelor in Kindergarten and Elementary Education with a French immersion minor. She graduated from Cégep du Vieux Montréal with a degree in Social Studies, during which she had the opportunity to participate in a field experience in an Indigenous community in Mexico. She has worked at a summer camp for the past four years, where she has met various groups of kids from different backgrounds. Recently, she began tutoring a student who is learning French as a foreign language. She has a strong passion for culture, particularly in finding ways to integrate it into language teaching.

FR: Laure est actuellement en première année de baccalauréat en éducation à la maternelle et au primaire, avec une mineure en immersion française. Diplômée en sciences humaines du Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, elle a eu l’occasion de participer à un stage dans une communauté autochtone au Mexique. Elle travaille dans un camp d’été depuis quatre ans, où elle a rencontré divers groupes d’enfants de différents milieux. Récemment, elle a commencé à offrir du tutorat à un élève qui apprend le français langue alternative. Passionnée par la culture, elle s’efforce de l’intégrer à l’enseignement des langues.

Clément B.

FR: Clément poursuit actuellement une maîtrise en génie de la production automatisée à l’École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) de Montréal. Diplômé de l’École des Mines d’Alès en France, où il s’est spécialisé en performance industrielle et systèmes mécatroniques, il possède également une solide formation en mathématiques et en physique grâce à son parcours en classe préparatoire scientifique.
Fort de plus de trois ans d’expérience en tutorat, Clément accompagne des élèves de tous niveaux en mathématiques et en physique. Son approche pédagogique repose sur la clarté, la structure et l’adaptation aux besoins de chaque élève afin de favoriser la compréhension, la confiance et l’autonomie.
Passionné par les sciences et la transmission du savoir, Clément cherche à rendre les mathématiques et la physique accessibles, stimulantes et agréables pour tous les apprenants.

SOPHIE M.

Sophie M. is pursuing her Bachelor of Education and holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. She brings a strong background in mathematics and science to her work in education. She is fluent in English and French. She supports students in their academic and personal growth, as a Learning Assistant at Foundations for the Future Charter Academy (FFCA). She previously served as a Teacher Assistant at La Mosaïque School, where she gained valuable experience supporting diverse learners in a French environment.

Sophie is passionate about helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking skills. She values inclusion, collaboration, and emotional support, and strives to create a positive learning atmosphere where every student feels respected and motivated to succeed.

With her combination of analytical skills, teaching experience, and genuine care for student well-being, Sophie is dedicated to promoting academic excellence and lifelong learning through her role as an academic tutor.

MELANIE F.

Melanie has a BEd in French immersion language instruction and 20 years of experience teaching students in grades 1-8 in French immersion subjects. Melanie also has Wilson Reading Program training and is in year two of a two year Master’s Program specializing in teaching students with learning disabilities.

Melanie is flexible, patient and kind. She knows how to scaffold lessons to help students develop confidence and build skill over time. She firmly believes all students can learn given the right approach. Believe- support- learn

SHANON H-R.

Shanon recently finished his concurrent education degree at Brock University, earning both his Bachelor of Arts with honours and Bachelor of Education. He is also a recent OCT-certified teacher aiming to work within the TDSB. Shanon speaks French fluently and has been in French immersion since senior kindergarten. Shanon has had experience teaching French from grades 3 to 12 and is more than happy to teach other subjects all the way up to grade 7. He is currently finishing his qualifications to teach elementary! Outside of the classroom, Shanon enjoys a myriad of hobbies. Whether it is video games, anime, drawing, baking, cooking, or working out, he can be caught working with his hands, brains, or both. One of Shanon’s biggest goals was writing in the third person, so this is huge for him. Shanon discovered his passion for teaching after watching how electric his mother’s classrooms were, and he knew this was the path for him. Much like his mom, he aims to foster an environment where everyone feels they belong and can learn as efficiently as possible. He aims to cultivate a fun, safe, engaging, and enriching space within his classroom. He found success with this during his teaching practicums and hopes to bring that into his own classroom someday soon.

David has been a school teacher for more than 20 years. He loves helping kids to reach their goals in life. His favorite subjects to teach are Languages (especially French and Spanish), math and social studies. He loves creating a nice environment in class in which my students learn and have fun. This extends to one on one support as well – David strives for his lessons to always be a combination of fun and deeper understanding.
