Cristina P.
Cristina began teaching mathematics at an early age, and over the past 20 years she has built deep expertise across a wide range of math levels. Her background includes advanced mathematics studies in Romania (M. Math) as well as a B.Ed. in Mathematics and Physics in Canada. This combination has equipped her with a strong foundation in higher-level math, from algebra and calculus to advanced problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.
To Cristina, mathematics is far more than computation—it is a precise language for understanding the world and uncovering its underlying structures. She is passionate about helping students develop this perspective, guiding them toward not only mastery of concepts but also genuine confidence and curiosity. Whether supporting students in enrichment, university-prep courses, or advanced mathematical topics, Cristina brings clarity, patience, and a deep love of the subject.
Outside the classroom, Cristina finds inspiration in nature, often taking long reflective walks. She’s guided by Galileo’s insight that “Nature is written in mathematical language,” a philosophy that continually shapes her approach to teaching and learning.
