BRIANNA M.
Brianna is pursuing a Bachelors of Math and Education with a minor in French at the University of Lethbridge. Brianna excelled during her first practicum, receiving high marks and outstanding feedback. Including comments regarding a natural teaching ability, and a strong passion for teaching.

Joshua recently graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s degree in General Mathematics, focusing on its connections to people and society. He has experience leading and participating in self-study groups, making complex concepts easier to understand. Joshua is passionate about helping students build confidence in math as well as physics. His other interests include discovering new music and learning about financial concepts.
LAGHIMA J.
Laghima is a Chemistry student at the University of Calgary with years of tutoring experience in math, chemistry, and English for students in grades 1 through 10. Her strong foundation in the sciences, combined with her patience and ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way, allows her to support students in building confidence and achieving academic success.

Tanaka holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from UBC Okanagan and a Fashion Design Diploma from the Visual College of Art and Design. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about language, communication, and helping students succeed.
She specializes in structured, adaptive learning for English Language Arts students and has experience tutoring elementary and high school students in reading comprehension, writing, and Math.

SABA E.
Saba earned an Economics degree and is now pursuing two combined degrees at the University of Calgary: a BSc in Mathematics and a BCom in Finance. She brings nearly two years of tutoring experience from a children’s charity, where she worked with kids from all backgrounds and with different abilities.
From a very young age, her father kindled her interest in mathematics through playful arithmetic games. The more she learned, the more she fell in love with it. Today, she devotes herself to this passion. She finds fulfillment in sharing and exchanging knowledge.
Saba believes that a patient, supportive approach can inspire a lifelong passion for learning. Friends describe her as caring and nurturing, and her motherly nature makes children feel comfortable.
AMBER M.
Amber holds a 2-year early childhood diploma as well as a 3-year international Montessori pedagogy diploma. She is a lifelong learner and has attended many conferences, workshops, and webinars on various Montessori topics, as well as child development.
Amber has been a Montessorian for 16 years and has also worked as a private tutor. Montessori education focuses on the holistic child, with high academics as a byproduct when they enter Grade 1, as it is a very individualized program. These areas include Math, Language, Science, and Geography.
Over her 16 years of teaching, Amber has worked with age groups. She has worked with children who have challenges as well as those with high cognitive abilities. She knows how to adjust her approach to suit the child, whether by changing how a lesson is delivered, knowing when to challenge them, or repeating the lesson in a new, fun way to make the concept easier to grasp. Amber still works as a Montessorian and would like to help more children with her talents, as she believes that all children learn differently, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. She loves fostering a love of learning in all children and will continue to do so for many years to come.
RALPH S.
Ralph is near completion of his combined degree program at the University of Lethbridge. He is in the General Major in the Sciences/Math Education program. Ralph has completed teaching practicums through the University of Lethbridge and aspires to be a teacher. Ralph is passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy their learning. He also has experience tutoring. You can expect Ralph to be flexible and punctual in addition to building positive relationships with his students. Ralph understands that learning is enhanced through positive relationships and so strives to connect with his students. Some of Ralph’s hobbies and interests are reading, being in the outdoors, spending quality time with his dog, and running.
MICHAELA M.
Michaela is a passionate and experienced educator who currently teaches grade 8 math and science, with a background in teaching grades 6, 7, and 8. She holds a Masters of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto through OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), specializing in Junior/Intermediate education with a teachable in Science and a specialist in Mathematics. Before transitioning to teaching, Michaela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, specializing in paediatric nursing from the University of Western Ontario, giving her a strong foundation in problem-solving and working with diverse individuals.
Originally from Ontario, Michaela moved to Calgary, AB this past summer for a new adventure. Her journey as an educator has been enriched by a variety of experiences, including coaching soccer, volleyball, and basketball, tutoring literacy and math for Kindergarten to grade 8 students, and working as a pediatric nurse, and camp counsellor. These roles have shaped Michaela’s ability to connect with learners of all ages and foster their academic growth.
Michaela is dedicated to inspiring curiosity and a love of learning in her students. She believes that exploration and confidence-building are key to helping students achieve their goals. Her personalized and supportive approach ensures that every student feels empowered to succeed.
Outside the classroom, Michaela enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and creating memorable moments with her friends and family. She looks forward to helping students reach their full potential and discover the joy of learning!
BAILEY G.
Bailey is a current Education student at Mount Royal University and aspires to be a high school math teacher. Previously, he had completed his certification as a qualified electrician where he worked in that field for 7 years.
Bailey also spends his free time officiating football games from the pee-wee level to the CJFL for the past 8 years.
JAMIE M.
Jamie has a Bachelor of Education Degree from Acadia University and has been teaching for 22 years. His passion and expertise is in teaching English and Social Studies from Grade 7 to 12. Jamie has experience teaching all subjects at the junior high level including Math and Science.
Jamie is competent with D2L, Google Classroom and numerous software applications that students are currently using for their courses.
Jamie has a strong work ethic and understands the learning challenges that students are currently facing. He strives to teach good study habits, organizational skills and a clear understanding of what it takes to be a successful student.
Jamie earned the Above and Beyond award from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools for showing drive, passion and perseverance as he lead his students towards academic success.
